Tangy honey mustard, a bit of pickled onion, melted cheese, and a poached egg on a fresh, toasted croissant. So much flavor. The Salami Baguette had Salami, Jack Cheese, Spinach, Tomatoes, Dijon, and Pesto (Basil, Olive Oil, Garlic, Walnuts, Parmesan, and Salt) That sandwich was amazing! The veggies give it a nice "pop" of freshness, the pesto was rich, but not overly so, and the Dijon and just a tiny bit of a "zip" to it. All of the ingredients played together very well. The cottage had central air conditioning, which was so necessary as it was hot during the day and the AC offered much relief, and there were ceiling fans to further help circulate the air. The pillows and beds were comfortable, and the cottage had everything we needed during our stay. Julia and Don were such thoughtful hosts, and their staff were friendly and helpful. The location is set right along the Trinity River, and guests of the resort are able to enjoy direct access to the river. We brought fishing poles and actually caught some trout right behind the resort!
