Both my son and I are weirdos when it comes to our hair and are very hesitant about having just anyone have their way with it. I go into this salon without the least bit of trepidation like I do most other places. If I ask for just a half inch trimmed off, I'm not walking out with 5 inches trimmed off. If my son asks for the "shaggy" look, he leaves feeling and looking like a rock star (ugh, and NOT Justin Bieber). The stylists are current with their training and seem to always keep up with the latest trends. Cost-wise: the services this salon offers seem to be competitively priced. I rarely give reviews but I must let everyone know how picky I am when it comes to my hair (it's bad). Anyway I found this salon after months of looking for the right one after moving from Myrtle Beach. So I made an appointment with Miche. I was nervous but she really listened and took in ALL the pictures I showed her on Pintrest with cuts and color. I can't believe what an amazing job she did. By far the BEST haircut I have ever had. At first, I was nervous to come here because I've been going to Winning Image for over 8 years. However, I was tired of spending crazy amounts on my hair and decided to try Foiled, man was it a great idea!! Diana did exactly what I wanted and make it look great. She gave me great advice on how to make my hair healthier. She did a great job! I will continue to come here from now on. The prices were great too! I was able to get a full foil and a 40$ hair mask to take home for less than half of what I used to pay just for a foil at winning image. Oh, and the receptionist is very sweet and friendly. I went here for an early birthday present from my parents. I got my dirty blonde hair dyed for the first time ever! To make my dirty blonde hair ombré into a lighter blonde at the tips. I had Miche (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) do my hair and she was AMAZING!!! She was so funny! I am kind of a shy person and she really made me comfortable and got me talking. Last night was the first time I'd had my hair cut since February. I'm kinda new to the area and I'm always nervous to start with a new person :) I'm sure all of you ladies know that feeling. I walked in and showed Alis a couple of pics and she knew exactly what I wanted. She cut my hair to perfection (inverted bob). If I could give a zero star, I certainly would. I had my hair bayalaged by Cybil on August 9, 2017. Before I left the shop, I expressed my dissatisfaction with my hair and was told to give it a few days. Two days later I called as I was still unhappy with my hair and was told Cybil had nothing available in the near future; I was given an appointment with Natasha for the coming weekend. She put a few foils near my scalp; she did not use toner, nor blow dry my hair to see the final result - it was obvious my being there was an inconvenience with no worry for my satisfaction. I went to a different salon 1 week later and had my hair redone - the $130 paid to Cybil was a loss. Cybil was obviously more concerned about the $ than customer satisfaction. I would definitely not recommend this salon and would suggest their name be changed from Foiled to Fouled as it seems more suitable!!! read more

I took my daughter to have her hair colored and spent over $125 and it COMPLETELY washed out after only 2 weeks!!!! We realized it about a week after and when I called to explain the situation they said I should have called before two weeks because it was company policy that after 2 weeks I would have to pay again. So I had the pleasure of making a consultation. But about 1/2 hour- an hour before my appointment something came up so I called to cancel & reschedule. I was given attitude & told I'd have a 25$ cancelation fee next time. Excuse me? No one informed me of this & consultations are free anyways. So I asked "for an appointment that's free anyway" she then said time is time & I'm taking it away from a stylist. Though I do agree that's NOT how you make a new customer. I"ve gone to Foiled Hair Studio several times. Both Dee and Debbie have done my hair and did a good job. This review isn't about my haircut but about the customer service or I should say the lack of customer service I received from the front desk girl. I had an appointment booked for Saturday July 14th which I had to cancel a few hours before because I was rushed to the hospital the night before for preterm labor. I explained that I was in the hospital and there was no way I could cancel before hand but she didn't care. She said next time I came I would be charge $45 on top of my normal haircut for canceling less than 24 hours in advance. I understand there should be consequences for missing your appointment because they lose money but there should also be exceptions and I would think that being rushed to the hospital would be an exception. So don't worry Foiled about me canceling anymore appointments because I won't be coming back. I received an email from the manager at Foiled Cybil. She was very apologetic about my experience with the front desk girl. She also said that she would waive the cancellation fee since I did have an unavoidable emergency which caused me to miss my appointment. I was very pleased that they decided to reach back out to me an apologize and I will be giving them another shot. read more

I selected Foiled based on the Yelp reviews, but I'm disappointed with the service I received. I went in to get my roots touched up, but my grey hair wasn't completely covered. If I had the time and money to get it fixed, I would. The only thing keeping me from giving my Foiled experience a single star is Marti's customer service. Wife never had a chance to make an appointment. As soon as she entered the salon my wife smiled, greeted the reception blonde woman and her response was nothing but a stare. Without a single greeting back, my wife asked if she could get an appointment for Saturday and without checking anything, the receptionist said she didn't think there was anything available and continued to stare my wife down. My wife just stood there thinking the receptionist might say more but just got stared at. A very cold and unwelcoming experience. Maybe their work is extraordinary, but the reception experience was cold, intimidating, and unwelcoming. Maybe because it's my wife's first time and they only do return customers, who knows. I'm so thankful I've found Dee and Foiled salon. I was in a desperate search for someone to take over my color and cut and I'm extremely happy with the results. Dee has transformed my dull color to an amazing blend of coppers/brown lowlights and golden hues, I love it! Wow, I just got the best massage I've ever had anywhere! Deborah is amazing plain and simple.

I chose this salon because it was close to the hotel I was staying at for my wedding and for their reasonable pricing. I did a trial hair and makeup for my wedding and was very happy with the experience. On the day of my wedding, we were allowed to bring drinks and some snacks to celebrate and relax, which was great! The staff was very friendly and accommodating to me, my mother and my 4 bridesmaids. I had my bridal hair and makeup done and 2 of my bridesmaids had hair and makeup and 2 just had their hair done. All of us were extremely happy with how everything turned out and we were done by our scheduled time, which made for a less stressful morning! I just moved to Stafford, and I was nervous about finding a salon and a stylist I would like. Foiled came highly recommended and I can see why. The atmosphere is really comfortable and casual--but chic. But that's not why I will come back. Alis was so careful and really listened to what I wanted. She gave me options and explained a lot. Also, she is the first stylist I have had in a long time who gave me a sample of a different product for my hair....very cool. Alis did a great job cutting my hair and Debbie did a great job highlighting! They don't use bleach but the highlights looks just as good and it's not as harsh on your hair. They are also reasonably priced. Will be returning for all of my future hair needs! read more

I wish zero stars was an option. I called ahead of time and was told I could come in at a certain time, lets say 2. so I come in 15 minutes before and EVERYONE in the salon stares me down. the women getting their hair styled, the stylists, the kids on the couch.. everyone. talk about uncomfortable. well, I go up to the receptionist and I tell her that I called. and she says what's your name? I'll check the system. I tell her that the person I spoke to didn't ask for my name and just hung up on me. I have somewhere to be in 2.5 hours and it takes over an hour to get there. and she tells me I can wait an hour or more to get my hair done. I tell her that won't work. and the most absurd thing is that only one person had the 2 o'clock appointment... I'm pretty sure there's more than one stylist working. she didn't even apologize for the mistake made either by herself or whoever answered the phone 4 hours prior. terrible customer service. she was condescending and very rude. as for the haircuts / stylist's abilities, I can't tell you. but the salon has a bad vibe. read more

I have been here 3 times and it has been wonderful each time. My first experience was with Dee, she did a fantastic job cutting my hair. The second time I came in I brought my 6 year old son for a hair cut with Constance. She was so patient with him and the cut was probably the best hair cut he has ever had done. My 3rd time in I had a cut and color done by Miche. She was professional very nice and the cut and color was perfect!!! I defiantly recommend this hair salon. One thing I should mention is they only accept cash or check for tips but they do accept CC for services. read more

I would not recommend this salon I went there and was very upset afterwards I wanted my hair cut before she colored and did highlights.she cut a little bit off and then started coloring and highlighting my hair. She wasted a lot of product because then she cut another 4 inches off my hair afterwards. I wasn't happy with the cut nor the highlights. I went back a week later and she put 6 more foils in my hair ( very thin strands). Underneath was not done the back was not and a lot of the sides were not foiled either. She said that nobody sees the back anyway! Now I have to go somewhere else and pay to get more foils put in my hair. When she put my foils in she had already left a bout a inch of regrowth and I was really upset about that. It looked like I already needed a touch- up. read more

Hidden gem in Stafford! My last two hairstylists at other salons just were not hearing how to cut my hair to get the style I wanted. I even took a large photo in and either received totally different style and/or an uneven cut. So I decided to see what else was available in Stafford. I did not even realize Foiled was in this shopping center on Rt. 1 and found it online, read great reviews and gave it a try last week. Great customer service on checking in and checking out and I was lucky that I was set up with Misch. She immediately understood what I was looking for, looked at the photo and I walked out with exactly what I wanted! One week later, the cut is excellent and handles perfectly. So glad that I set up my next appt as I was leaving because I think she books up quickly - and I can see why! Would highly recommend - very happy read more
