Beware -- If you have gel nails from a nail salon that is NOT Tulip then they will not do your nails. Found that out after arriving. You'd think someone who is licensed would be able to do most services. I've never this experience at any other salon/spa within my entire almost 20yr of military life travels. Took my child to the salon today for a haircut, the look was completely on them (my child) to decide, while I stepped out to run to the store. When I came back, my child was sitting in the waiting chairs "done" with soaking wet hair. It was cut, sure, however the stylist states she wouldn't provide a full service as my child (afab) wanted a masculine haircut, and it was against her beliefs, as well as stating my child's hair was "too thick." I did receive a discount on the cut, however I am disappointed and dissatisfied. My child did receive what they wanted, but at the cost of being disrespected. I cannot speak on the rest of the staff, nor do I know the name of my child's specific stylist, but if you are LGBTQ+ or simply a person with thick hair, i don't recommend this salon. Lisa is amazing and the staff is always so polite and professional. It is not the cheapest but the cheaper places have bleached and ruined my hair. Lisa has catered to what my kids and I are looking for but has also made suggestions on different ways the kids may want to style or cut their hair so they can get the results they are looking for. **UPDATE** The owner is a joke. I went in today for them to "fix" my hair and bc I posted on social media they decided to cancel my appt but I was not having it! When I called I asked for a higher tiered stylist so I was set up with Kelly. We chatted about highlights and lowlights with my hair and I let her do her thing. After all foils were out in my hair she said she did t need to do low lights bc I had enough of my natural color to come through. All was going well until she pulled off the towel to blow dry my hair and immediately I see ALL my gray hair. So, I said "wait, why do I still see all my grey hair"? She literally said, "did you want that covered". Uuum, yes this is the WHOLE reason I am here. She apologized and said it was her fault for not asking, then said they only had me down for highlight?? So, she says let me see what time I have that I can get you on to fix it, I'm thinking no problem, I'm not too upset at this point since she will make this right. Then she tells me an associate has an appt available tomorrow and it will be cheaper then her prices bc she is a higher level tier. So, I questioned why I would have to pay for someone to fix her mistake? She, said that I would of still paid for that if she had done it today but would cost more. So, after getting upset saying I think that's crap they decided to call a manager and said manager told them to give me 20% off tomorrow (which will be another 70$ plus new tip bc it's another girl. So, with tip today was 350 then tomorrow expected to pay another $70. Such bad business. Hopefully, I can save someone for another nightmare. read more

Very excited to go to an Aveda salon and spa. Nice ambiance but the stylists are not very skilled. Went to the firat one and got a Jr stylist as I really needed a cut. Brought a pic so she can model the style. She struggled her way through layering and framing the face. Tried a seasoned stylist the second time. My hair cut was so bad i came home and my husband didnt even know what to say because the cut was so bad. I brought a picture to help guide the style and cut. The layers were uneven. She layered my bangs so short they wont stay down without gel. It was a blunt cut vs layers and length. Had to go to another salon to fix the damage. Oh and that cut was over $100. If you are a new client looking for a skilled high quality aveda salon with talented stylists, this is not it. Would not recommend and I am never going back. read more

Place is nice and has great ambience, but you go for the Aveda experience and I didn't get that. What I did get, new brows I didn't ask for in a shape I don't like because there was no consultation before wax; a lackluster facial with no shoulder massage just rubbing (what happened to the aroma therapy adventure?); and a mani pedi that only lasted as long as I walked out the door, again with a lackluster leg and foot massage. I get a better experience at the local nail salon for less. For someone who only goes to Aveda salons for facials, this was subpar. I won't be back. read more

I booked an appointment for a partial highlight and a cut with Tami. Let me just say, Tami gave and out of this world consultation. She was personable, professional and she listened. She noticed the breakage, new growth and damage. Because she asked the right questions, paid attention and did her due diligence she learned what type of shampoo I was using. Just so everyone knows, it's not something you would find in a grocery store or target. I really thought I had a good one since I was paying good money for it. However I was really unaware of what it was doing to my hair, especially since it was recommend by another stylist I associated with this salon. Tami suggested doing a test strip on my hair since she has heard of people's hair melting when they were getting their hair done. Thank the lord she did, because I probably would have walked out of there close to being bald. Tami suggested that I have a protein treatment and to go ahead with the haircut. I had her cut more than I had planned, but I would rather have it look as healthy as possible. I do have another appointment setup in a few weeks. We will then assess my hair and determine if the highlights are a go! I cannot even begin to recommend her enough.i am beyond happy that I found her. This was my first time to the salon. I showed the stylist four pictures of what I wanted, saying I understood that the hairstyles in them are different, but I would like something like them. The conversation ended with me deciding that I wanted the cut that the blond in the sunglasses has. I've attached two pictures of the result which was blunt, uneven, and inconsistent layers. Some areas had no layers. This is the second time I've tried this salon (because Aveda salons and spas--of which I've worked at two--are supposed to provide the highest quality). Alas, I will not be returning, nor asking for a refund or fix since, as reading the owner's responses to Google reviews has proven, it would be a fruitless task. I'm just not going to return, and will share this review everywhere I can. Shame on this owner for the blight she's put on the Aveda reputation. For privacy reasons, no, my real name is not Anne Darling, and I'll not share the name of the stylist either for the same reason. But for the owner's benefit, her name starts with a K and my appointment (which started 15 minutes late) was for 1:15 on 12.20.2022. Also, not allowing stylist to have anti-fatigue mats in order to preserve an arbitrary and false esthetic is despicable. It doesn't matter that there are other industries that require prolonged standing that cannot provide anti-fatigue mats. The fact that you can provide them but don't shows a flagrant disregard, and ultimately a disrespect, for your stylists. No wonder you're also disrespectful to unsatisfied customers as well. Shame on you. Don't point to awards. Those are damn near meaningless--obviously. read more

This place is overpriced and takes weeks to get an appointment. I waited six weeks for a Saturday appointment and the manager push a disgruntled client in the middle of my appointment. I can understand a hair cut but a highlight issue. I was pushed on the hair washer when the stylist usually does everything. I complained to the Manager and she said I wasn't slighted in anyway. She did offer to charge me more for the stylist to do what every other client receives. $200 later I did feel like number not a client. I have going here for years but No More. My suggestion is find a salon that treats you like your more than a $ sign. read more

I recently had an appointment to retouch my roots and am very disappointed with the outcome. The appointment lasted nearly 4 hours and resulted in patchy roots as well as a gray tint in my very blonde hair. The stylist was very kind and acknowledged her mistake and cut my hair for free. Some people, Chelsea, shouldn't be allowed to touch a pair of scissors. I spent 6-months growing my hair out, getting some length after wearing it short for several years. I paid for a hair cut with a "senior" stylist but the job I got looks like it was done by a kindergartener with a pair of blunt scissors. She chopped it up and it's now shorter than before I started growing it out. It looks nothing like what I asked them to do. I even provided pictures so there was no doubt what I was looking for. On Monday, December 2nd, I came to this salon for the first time. I showed the stylist, Nadia (who was one of the more expensive ones), a picture of a light blonde color. I got back a more silver color with pops of purple. This took her (maybe) an hour to do, which I have since learned dyeing your hair in a salon takes on average of 2-4 hours. She cut corners by not leaving the lightener on long enough and not using the correct color compliment on my more brassy tones. The next day I woke up and noticed bits of orange in my hair and around the sides of my face, I called and got another appointment to fix it, I walked in and was fed lies straight to my face about how it "was my contour" that "stained" my hair. I wasn't sold on that idea as I wasn't wearing contour the few days I had waited to go back to the salon, and don't contour the back of my head. I didn't question it though as she was fixing my hair for free, only it never got fixed. All she did was tone my hair, it looked good for a few hours and that was it. The next morning I still had strips of purple, and orange. I tried to scrub the obviously orange parts of my hair with the blue shampoo (Nadia recommended) to get rid of the orange, unfortently due to Nadias advice to really scrub everywhere with the blue shampoo and let it sit for "longer than 5 minutes" led to the blue sticking to parts of my hair. At this point I went to the salon to correct a mistake made by Nadia that was not corrected, but made worst from her advice. Having put this as a bad experience at a new hair salon, I brushed it off and found a different. Then as I shared my experience with a stylist at Salon 730, she was shocked at how they ran their business and treated their customers. She explained to me that a professional stylist knows how to correctly color hair, uses the color wheel to find contrasting colors to take out the orange, purple, blue, etc. They made me realize that Nadia belittled me, insulted my intellegence by saying it was my fault my hair was orange because of my (nonexistent) contour. She did not own up to her mistakes, instead she disrespected me and said it was my fault. She clearly cut corner as the appointment but would not own up to it. She used an invalid and illegitimate excuse. Because Nadia cut corners and left me with multiple different colors in my hair, I had to get it color corrected, which took 6 hours. Thankfully the stylist at Salon 730 know what they're doing. They also understand that everyone makes mistakes, it's who owns up to them that makes them genuine and respectful. I get my nails and hair done here, as well as the occasional facial. All of them have always been great! I'm especially ecstatic that I found a hair stylist I can go back to! I see Alia, and she is WONDERFUL! I'd been seeing a stylist in central park for years, but she's stopped working, and have seen two other stylists before coming across Alia. I have super thick hair (asian hair), that not a lot of people seem to know how to handle. My first cut with Alia was with long hair, and she did a great job! Lots of layers, and oober cool texture. Danielle has been doing my hair since we moved here this summer and she continues to amaze me. I'm a busy mom and I sometimes need to get in and out. She is very professional, extremely proficient in her art of hair color and cut, and I walk out of the salon SUPER HAPPY every. single. time. With hair you pay for what you get and I get the best. I receive compliments on my hair daily, especially after she blow dries it straight (which I can wear for over a WEEK, thanks to the aveda dry shampoo!). She listened to what I was trying to explain about my hair and what I was looking for and I feel like she really made the effort to help me understand her plan and involve me in the whole process. Since this was my first visit that meant a lot! The end result I could not be happier with! Even the blow dry process was fast and looked and felt terrific. Also, the customer service all around at this salon is on point. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The salon is clean and appealing and even though it was busy but didn't seem loud.
