I first met Dr. Wynn years ago when one of my large dogs was seriously ill and needed to be put…read moredown. I couldn't move her and started calling vets to see if anyone could come out. The only one that would was Dr. Wynn. He came that morning and was very kind, compassionate and gentle so that my poor girl died peacefully - not stressed or agitated as she would have been if I tried to move her. It made a difficult situation much easier for both of us. I have used Dr. Wynn for general veterinary services ever since. He takes care of all my dogs and cats. He handles their vaccinations, treats many medical problems and is very nice about answering questions on the phone. There are some medical issues he can't address being a mobile vet but he has been able to handle most of my pets needs and it is so much easier than taking them to a vet in town. He does charge a trip fee to come out, but overall his prices are reasonable and I have found that I usually end up paying the same or less than vets in town who won't make a diagnosis without expensive lab tests. I would highly recommend Dr. Wynn to anyone.

Recip mares are generally given to these clinics because they are unbroken, unrideable and unwanted but young. The fertility clinics care for them, and give them quality life until they are aged and unable to be used in the program anymore. I can guarantee that this vet's intent was never to send the horses to slaughter, and given an economically viable option she would gladly chose that over auction.There is a huge unwanted horse problem in this country, and attacking a vet who is trying to make a living and ethically care for her animals does not help fix this problem. It only leads to veterinarians having a 4x higher suicide rate than the average human. Words hurt. Words can kill. Be kind, and note the excellence that this veterinarian strives for.
