When I called the clinic to report that he was suffering from chest retractions and was having trouble breathing the day after the procedure, they dismissed it over the phone as 'anxiety' and didn't even ask to examine him. When I called again the following day during business hours, because I knew something was wrong, I was told that all the vets had left and that I "should probably take him to an emergency vet". When we got to the ER, we were told he was in severe respiratory distress and it was a life threatening emergency. He was in the hospital for several days and no one was sure he would make it. This clinic's lack of care and profound negligence nearly killed our dog and cost us $10,000 at an emergency vet to save his life. Our pup survived, but no thanks to this place. Avoid at all costs. They do not care and will do anything to protect themselves over your pet.

We originally thought it might have just been something minor from a nail trim, but our baby ended up needing to stay overnight. The next morning, Dr. Biquet came in, did additional X-rays, and figured out exactly what was going on. You should have seen her face when she solved it--it was such a moment of relief. When we came in they rushed him to trauma care and started treating him immediately. The staff and Dr were very supportive and caring. Once they explained what was going on they let my wife and I come to the decision to let him go without any coaxing or pushing. They have private rooms where you can sit with your family and pets for as long as you want. When it came time to say goodbye the vet explained everything to me. Again, they were very caring and compassionate. I will always miss him, but they made it easier to say goodbye. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was pretty concerned, but instead of immediately pushing expensive imaging and tests, he was honest and straightforward. He told me we could certainly do more expensive diagnostics, but that he truly didn't think they were necessary at that point. He recommended starting with a simple steroid because he felt confident in his diagnosis--and he was absolutely right. I worked like a charm. I didn't know CityVet locations are individually owned, so it was comforting to learn that Dr. Aronoff actually owns this practice. There's something reassuring about knowing the veterinarian caring for your pet is personally invested in the clinic and the level of care being provided. Kaylee, the tech, was incredibly sweet and attentive as well. The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care. The facility itself is great--clean, modern, and brand new.
