OMG! Has absolutely destroyed our puppies leg!! Run!!!! Our puppy broke her elbow a month ago, and based on proximity and local reviews my daughter too her to Eagle Mountain. At first, thigs seemed great-tye got us in during an emergency, were friendly, and the cost felt reasonable. Unfortunately, everything that happened after that has been horrific. At her follow-up visit, we asked specifically if her splint needed to be changed. She is a growing puppy and the wrapp was extremely tight.. We were told by the vet and two techs that it didn't need to be changed unless it smelled. THey even laughed when voiced concern about my dogs skin. Assuring my daughter "she'll be fine, this is all normal". A few days later, splint started to smell awful, so back we went. They immediately took her to the aback and said she needed to stay based on the smell without letting me see her condition. Hours later, the only update I received was that she had a "small pressure sore," which they said was normal and that they planned to "let it air out'. Two days later when she was picked up, the leg was already wrapped. Four days later the splint started smelling awful again and was oozing from the bottom. I took her to VEG Emergency, where they removed the splint- what they found was devastating. Basically her entire arm/paw was a large open wound, almost to the bone. Her toes started losing their color. She now requires multiple medications and professional wound care every few days in that the wounds heal. Every vet medical professional said the splint needs to be changed every few days for a growing puppy to prevent this from happening. Complications can happen, but the lack of transparency, the refusal to let me see her condition, and the repeated reassurance tat everything was "normal" has left this family shaken and in shock. 12/2/25- UPDATE We just left the new vet and have to return tomorrow to have a conversation on leg amputation. read more

Our long time veterinarian retired and he recommended Dr Fields. It's a bit out for me, but I love my animals and it's worth it. This place gets busy. Generally they stay keep close to appointment times. Dr Fields is extremely personable as are the vet techs. The front desk stays busy with customers and phone calls, so be respectful and polite Two kittens adopted us. We couldn't find a place to bring them. The shelters are packed. So we are vaccinating and spaying them both. Then they'll go to their new homes as barn cats. I tell you this because while it's an out of pocket expense, the price was reasonable enough to justify it read more

Absolutely the best service! I live in Weatherford, but the drive to this location is definitely worth it! The Doctor & Vet assistant that took care of Sparky, were outstanding. Under the circumstances (they had to put my Sparky down and I was a MESS)! The entire staff was amazing! Very professional and caring. The lady at the front desk was super nice as well. Only been here twice, but so far, these folks are great!!! I i can't say they charged emergency prices, because, compared to one emergency pet hospital? EMVC has reasonable rates. We took our bow wow for a check up. The exam, office visit and the medicine? Was a much better rate than the pet hospital where she normally goes. And she had to go in for some surgery? the estimate was spot on! These people are great. Plus local folks, and not part of a huge corporate chain give it a more down home feel. read more

Have used this veterinarian many times in the past but will not be back. We took 2 kittens in for upper respiratory infections and now wondering if 1 of them is going to live. The other is not well and doesn't have control of her back legs. The first one had multiple x-rays and given injections, breathing treatments, and was kept at vets twice, once for the day and then for 2 nights. Steroids, antibiotics and nose drops sent home and still looks like she's on deaths bed. The second kitten was taken in , very briefly looked at, given an injection and sent home with antibiotics, now she has limited use of her hind legs and still shows no sign of recovery. They were healthy before but had sneezed a little blood and seemed like they had sinus issues. That's all! Now $850 later and have a kitten that doesn't seem like she's going to live and the other not able to use back legs and still seems a little ill. read more

Dustin and his techs have been nothing except great! They worked with me when 2 of my dogs had dementia. Don't get me wrong. These poor things needed to be put down. They didn't go down together and were suffering. They were both over 10 years old. Quality of life was not there for them. The techs and Dustin were fantastic each time we went in. They even cried with me when the dogs passed away. It was quick. They made it very easy. Thanks EMV! read more

Thank God I finally found a veterinarian with a heart, rather than a money-scheme! After spending $1700 at another vet in Tarrant county to get my wiener-dog shorty patched up after another coyote run-in (yes this has happened before), I took him to Eagle mountain vet in Azle to get his drain tube removed. Expecting another outrageous bill, I was not charged. AT ALL! My respect to these people with just as much concern for you, as your pet during unfortunate incidents during the holidays when money is already tight. God bless you.. read more

Dr. Dustin Fields is wonderful, as are his vet assistants. He has taken care of our dogs through rat poison, coyote bites, swallowed baseball string, dog bites, cat bites, and has always been especially careful with them, with my very slim budget for caring for them and with my need to make payments sometimes. That being said, his receptionist is absolutely awful. She's rude, inattentive, unprofessional and a big negative to this business. I brought our 12 year old dog in for bites(cat and dog) and a very swollen cheek. She couldn't even walk. I carried her. She was rude when I entered, but an assistant helped me. I am 76 rs old and when I went to the car to get my wallet, I realized I forgot my purse. I said I would come right back with the payment. She informed me they would be closed for lunch until 1:30pm. When I called to say my husband had a cardiology appt she was incredibly rude. I told her I would send a check. She continued to be rude, I hung up. Dr. Fields, please replace this woman. You deserve better at your front desk as do your customers. read more

Dr. Fields is the best veterinarian we have ever been to. We have been coming here for over ten years because he really cares about these animals. So many vets these days up sell you because they know people will pay top dollar to save their pets. Dr. Fields gives the information to you straight, he never up charges, and he will tell you when it is necessary for a procedure on your pet and when there's no need for it. For example, one of our dogs needed a blood transfusion and it was in the middle of the night when everything was closed except for the emergency vet. We paid $5000 for this procedure. Later we talked to Dr. Fields and he would have charged between $300 and $500. (This happened a few years back) I just can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is as friendly as can be. The place is clean. You will always get accurate information from Dr.Fields. He is so respectful of the animals and our dogs love him. I highly recommend this business if you need a trusted opinion! read more

Dr. Dustin is a remarkable doctor who makes it very known he loves his job. This isn't just business for him. He genuinely cares about your babies and is very personable . His assistant is fantastic as well and the nurses I've had dealings with are all great. The lady at the front desk leaves the entire place much to be desired. She's extremely unprofessional and rude. It's hard not to let that sway you because she's the first person you have to deal with but she for sure doesn't want to deal with you. I would highly recommend the dr for everything he's amazing but it's hard to recommend the office especially considering she's not interested in her job. The dr told her to make a follow up apt for my baby but she let me leave without regards to his request. I wasn't going to remind her. I'll make a phone call to do so. When you arrive she may or may not check you in. It's very frustrating. read more

This clinic is AWFUL! Our sweet little dog was terribly sick and we took him there, they kept him over the weekend because we trusted he would be well taken care of. We were told we would be contacted over the weekend to get an update. However, we never received any calls from anyone. On Monday morning, we had to personally go to their office and ask how he was doing. The staff was very contradicting in giving both my daughter and I information. Supposedly, someone called my daughter over the weekend, but no calls were ever made. When we brought him home he was very happy to be back, but he was very aggressive. He would growl and start biting. Something that was very strange to us since he had never acted like this before. I would hope this place does not mistreat any of the animals being treated. read more

This has been our vet clinic for the last 13 years. Dr. Dustin Fields has doctored 6 dogs for us through those years. He and all of his staff are wonderful and totally devoted to healing animals. My dogs have been to Dr. Fields for everything from vaccinations, neuter/spay, dental, erlichia, ear infections, bronchitis, arthritis, luxating patella, allergies, thyroid, glaucoma and even a stroke. I respect Dr. Fields for referring one of my dogs to a specialist rather than just throwing pills at her forever, which he could easily have done. I like the fact Carol, their receptionist, can recognize an urgent need for an appointment and work us in, rather than telling us they are too busy to see us. It is obvious that all of the people at this clinic love what they do and genuinely care about each and every animal that is brought in. read more

After jumping through hoops trying to get my dogs Heartguard Plus (they have been on this for years) and getting negative tests Saturday, they will not release the prescription because they don't "do business" with the provider I chose. I chose 1800PetMeds. I did not order a generic and now because of the vet's war with my provider, I either have to use their approved provider (Foster and Smith) or my dogs have to get another test at another vet. I think it's crazy that this is such a high rated clinic. My Aussie swallowed the core of a golf ball and had to have it removed. Nothing seemed wrong until I got him home and noticed first of all that he smelled awful. Prior to visiting (Monday) he'd had a bath and when I got him back on Friday he was covered in his own urine. They also forgot a NEEDLE in his arm. The needle was still in his arm and taped to it. They did not shave his arm where they put the tape but they sure did shave everything above it meaning when we removed the needle at home that should've been removed prior to his discharge, we basically had to pull his fur out to get the tape off. They also did not give us ANY information about what to expect, what is normal for the healing process, and what is not normal. Also, the antibiotics they gave him were for intestinal infections. I had to take him to a separate clinic when his stomach almost doubled in size due to swelling and fluid. Luckily this second clinic seemed much more professional and capable of taking care of my dog. If I could do it all over again I would've taken him somewhere else from the start. read more

Was going to Frontier Vet Clinic in White Settlement, but ever since it changed ownership, I've had to go looking for a new vet. I'm so glad a friend of mine recommended Eagle Mountain. They are extremely friendly, take good care of your pet and their prices are fair. The only downside was that the vet didn't spend a lot of time with me. It felt like he was a bit rushed. Other than that, he was knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about when it came to my dog. Highly recommend!!! read more

They are a great vet. I love the people who work there. I have always had satisfactory service from these guys. They even drove to my house while it heavily snowed on Valantine's Day to help me with a 150LBS dog who need imediate care (they were closed). Then on top of that they would not charge me for their services that day. What else can I say, They are good caring people. read more

in the past we used azle vet clinic on main. but the doctor seems like when an animal is ill his go to answer was put it down. I had a puppy attacked by a very large german shepherd and vet at azle vet clinic told me to put him down. I took him to eagle mountain and they saved him and a year later he is a perfect dog read more

I strongly advise against taking a cat to this vet, and I will never again take my surviving cat or any other cat there. My experience with the two cats I have taken to him has been that he did not, with either of them, recognize common symptoms of leukemia nor advise me how to treat related conditions. I ended up taking both cats to Hartland Cat Hospital for treatment, and for one cat it was too late. Appropriate treatment sooner may well have, at least, preserved her life and the quality of her life a bit longer. Unfortunately, I haven't found that any of the local vets are well versed in cat care. read more
