Asked for 6 wings they gave me all drums, make sure you tell them you want half and half, cooks aren't considerate of customer request. I want to start out by saying this is not the servers fault. There were 4-5, 7 top tables, and many smaller tables, with one server. He was very overworked. This is a dive bar, that's what it is. It was cute and I wasn't worried about ambiance, I was just hungry. I had just purchased my wedding dress and wanted to celebrate.. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The food came out before we even had waters. Our drinks came when we were halfway finished with our food, which at that point I didn't even want it. Our server did not bring us napkins or silverware. My mom quite literally got up and got them herself. He said "they must have lost the ticket" but he couldn't find the beer I ordered and never put in the drink order. I have been a regular customer there (3-5 times per week) for 8 months or more along with taking my customers employee meetings and parties$$$. today was the last draw!!! for the third time in 3 months the lettuce on my food was black, brown and slimy. Going bridal shopping?! This is your celebrate and have mimosa place. We had a group of seven and rushed their door when they opened at 11am on a Saturday. We were celebrating, my daughter had just said yes to a dress. They were very quick to get us a round of mimosas. We tried the potato keg appetizer as well as the pretzel bites. You have to get double orders of potato cakes because they are so good and that was everyone's favorite! We then had an assorted mixture of wraps and salads but everyone was extremely pleased with their food. The waitress was absolutely hilarious. We told her that we had to get moving with food because one person was hangry. A minute later she came out with a little package of oyster crackers and said she didn't want anyone to get hurt. Decent food. I had the Reuben and really enjoyed it. The club was also good. Two of our party ordered the Real Deal Steak Hoagie. It wasn't a hoagie, it was actual steak/sirloin with marinara and cheese. Both were super disappointed because although it says real deal it doesn't indicate thats it's not a steak hoagie on the menu. Neither could eat even half of the sandwich. My niece, my husband, myself and two of her friends stopped in after finding the Dress we wanted to celebrate by having a drink and decided ti order a few bites before heading out. My niece ordered the chicken quesadilla, her friend ordered basket of sweet potato fries, i ordered the hamburger w/ onion rings, my husband ordered the chicken wings topped off with three angry orchards and a Diet Coke. So the food is amazing and the beer is good, but that's where it ends. The staff act like it a high school and if you want that vibe this the place for you. Servers here will try to be your friend and turn around and bad mouth you, just a bunch of two faced people. When you have a complaint you bring to managers attention they will assist with some problems and won't with others. Ive gone to this bar for 10 years and in that time 2 different owners and many different staff but i wouldn't bring people here again because the staff have their friends spy on you, even after you told management to have them leave you alone, they will eavesdrop like it's any of their buisness and then form their own delusions.​ But yes food has gotten better over time, and beer has always been wide selection. 5/10 read more

This review is based on a carry-out order, so is for the food only. Foley's menu is a good, rounded out selection of typical bar/pub fare: wings, burgers, sandwiches of all sorts & various appetizers. My husband & I were in the mood for burgers & I was happy to see they even offered pretzel buns, my favorite, for an upcharge. Burgers come in a quarter and half pound, with a variety of cheese options, but just two add ons, mushrooms and/or bacon. I got a bleu cheese mushroom burger on the pretzel bun & was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Meaty, thick, but the chopped up mushroom topping was a bit skimpy. It came with chips. My husband was also very impressed with his mushroom burger. We each got the half pound and were able to save half for lunch the next day it was so big. For apps, we ordered the potato skins and meant to upgrade from chips to onion rings for my burger side, but wound up with the app size of onion rings somehow. They were fantastic and tasted beer-battered. My husband, who doesn't even like onions, enjoyed them. The potato skins didn't have a lot of flavor and could have used some more cheese, but were OK when I added more seasoning (and cheese) at home, so I might not order them if eating them at the restaurant proper. We would definately get burgers here again & try some other things on the menu. read more

A week ago I had a rare lunch time excursion out for lunch. It was my brother-in-law's birthday and he wanted to go to one of his favorite restaurants, Foley's Irish Pub in Reading. It is located in the heart of the Reading Bridal District, something I had no idea existed until my visit to Foley's. The area was a nice surprise that I may have to explore more in the future. Foley's looks like one of those bar and grills that has occupied the same building for many years. I have no idea if that is true or not, but it does look like it closed briefly in 2009 for a renovation and with new owners. The inside of the pub is decorated with loads of sports memorabilia and feels like a great neighborhood bar and grill with friendly staff and typical bar food offerings. We started with an order of Mile High Nachos ($8.25), that was more than enough for our table of ten. I ordered Foley's Club with the included side of chips ($7.99). Fries and onion rings are available for an additional charge. The club was piled high with thick cuts of turkey and ham along with both American and Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Mayonnaise came on the side, which is nice for the health conscious. The double-decker sandwich was tasty and filling. Others in the group seemed to enjoy the massive cod sandwiches, burgers, various wraps, and wings. Fairly standard bar food is offered at Foley's Irish Pub and not what you may expect at a more typical Irish pub, however everything that I sampled was good. Just don't expect to find any bangers or corned beef. read more

Great bar food. Foley's is a little off the beaten path for me, but anytime I'm over that way, I try to stop in. Their chili is awesome. It's full of flavor, a little spice and I love the beans. I recommend their buffalo chicken wrap. It has a thicker buffalo sauce which makes it unique and the portion sizes are more than satisfying. Recently I had the opportunity to check out Foley's in Reading upon the recommendation of a friend. I always look forward to checking out new places, especially locally owned and operated businesses instead of corporate chain deals. The location itself is right in the heart of Reading's Bridal District. Foley's, from what I was told used to be a bank back in the day. We went on a Saturday night around dinnertime so there was a steady stream of customers. I was satisfied with my visit. I got the chicken tenders and fries, which was enough to fill me up. Their portions here are huge! I filled up and left satisfied for less than $10! Not bad! I definitely recommend this place if you are in the Reading/Sharonville area! read more

We got there and only one table was open and it wasn't wiped off... it took about 20 minutes for someone to notice and they wiped it off. We got our drinks and ordered but here's the catch... we waited an hour and no food. We had to call someone over while someone was playing live music extremely loud to the point where my eardrums were hurting. Once they actually came to the table they said that they had lost our order... at that point we decided it wasn't worth it to wait another 30 minutes for our fried food, not to mention our order was fairly small. Having grown up and continuing to stay local, I have frequented Foleys on many occasions. So, I guess one time out of the 100's I've been there, and had bad food/service, I'll be back. But when a customer legit complains about congealed, ice cold bacon on a sandwich and two employees agree it's not acceptable, might I suggest removing it from the bill. It wasn't that much bacon, bread or lettuce to bankrupt the place. But enough to keep a customer happy enough not to make suggestions and to come back. Right when you walked in the pungent odor of sewage and trash greeted your nostrils. Luckily, it was a nice day so we were able to sit outside. Our waitress took about 10 minutes to bring our 5 (nonalcoholic) drinks out. The onion rings were greasy and not homemade, and our chicken sandwiches tasted like they had been cooked the day before then reheated. Very dry. The whole experience left me feeling dirty and in need of a salad. One star for the restrooms smelling nicer than the restaurant. read more

There are not a ton of options for lunch if you are spending some of your day in the Reading Bridal District, so Foley's does the trick. It's a pretty big space, standard pub and pub fare (sandwiches, chicken tenders, etc), space could probably use some updates. The prices are fine, nothing will blow you away, but I have no complaints. Food service was fast.
