We have a Bernese Mountain Dog and a French Bulldog - who are obviously very different in terms of both personality and their needs. This past 8 nights, one of her employees Jim stayed overnight in our home with the dogs. He texted me to let me know how things were going regularly and he seemed to genuinely love spending time with the dogs. Our Berner can be stubborn so I typically tell the dog sitters not to walk her, but Jim took both of them on walks daily in order to keep them out of the messy yard. We returned home to 2 calm dogs, without any issues! We joked that the house looks cleaner than when we left - he definitely took care of cleaning up after the messy dogs (which I don't usually expect!) Melissa is great in responding for last minute visits if we are out unexpectedly and now we feel that when it's time for vacation, we can go again without worrying about the dogs!

I boarded my dog at North Shore K-9 from September 25-29. When I picked him up, he had a severe eye…read moreinjury that required immediate emergency referral to a veterinary ophthalmologist and ultimately resulted in the loss of his eye. I was not contacted during his stay about any concern with his condition. After pickup, we rushed him directly to the veterinarian. I've included a photo taken of what his eye looks like at time of pick up, showing the condition of his eye at that time and removal of eye due to damage. What was most upsetting was the lack of communication during his stay and the way the situation was handled afterward. Despite providing extensive veterinary documentation and attempting to resolve the matter directly, the facility declined to offer even a refund of the boarding fees and eventually stopped responding. This experience was emotionally devastating for both me and my dog. Based on this experience, I would not boarding here.

While I was away on my vacation Maureen was truly amazing.  I received daily texts with photos of the care that was given each day, including pictures of the freshly scooped litter boxes and filled food bowls with details of the daily findings.   Maureen truly goes out of her way to provide exceptional care to both my pets and my home!  During one of her visits a fire alarm battery had given out and was beeping.  Maureen immediately contacted me and took care of the beeping alarm as she was worried about my cat having to endure the constant beeping while I was gone.    I cannot recommend CCDD enough as Maureen truly cares about your pet and home!!  I highly recommend!!!!
