I can recommend this company having recently used them to move from Maryland to Georgia. There were a few hiccups however the owner quickly rectified the situation making the move relatively seamless. The price quoted was the price I paid and I feel this was a very fair and reasonable price if not better than I expected. 5-star The owner himself drove from Maryland to Georgia to ensure the move went as expected. When additional assistance was needed, the owner quickly hired local help to assist, at no extra charge to me. I am a very private person and never write reviews about companies, however this experience was so bad that I feel people should be made aware of what they are getting themselves into. It is very unfair that you pay money to a company with no professional moving experience or etiquette and they treat you and your property with total disrespect and contempt. I used this company to move from MD to VA, not because I was particularly pleased with the reviews but because I felt that Ernest the owner who spoke some Italian and had spent some time in Italy would appreciate the value of my furniture from Italy (I am a naturalized Italian) and also because I wanted to patronize a black owned company. The owner Ernest is very personable and his movers are very friendly but that is where it ends. They are not professional movers and are completely clueless. Most of my furniture was either badly scratched or completely destroyed and I have expensive and high quality furniture from Italy. They actually took food out of my freezer and put in plastic bags even when I had instructed them not to touch anything from the refrigerator. They packed live plants into plastic bags, who does that? I had mattress covers on my mattresses which for reasons best known to them, they took off and when my mattresses arrived, they were stained and filthy and I had to replace all 4 mattresses! After the move, I sent several text messages and made phone calls to complain about my property damage and never got a response. When they came to deliver my property, they left some of my t-shirts and clothes on the floor and drove off. Yes they may give you a reasonable quote however when they are done with your move, you will end up spending much more replacing the damaged items. I could write several pages on how terrible the service was and honestly I am not happy writing this review however I feel it is necessary and important to provide pertinent information for anyone looking for a moving company. We couldn't not have been more pleased with our recent move of household items from Joppa to Southern Maryland. Their communication was excellent, and kept in touch when they knew they would be a little late. Everything arrived within the alloted time and in good condition. I hired Fomenji to move me about one mile. Despite the size of the crew (5 men), they did not finish the move on the moving day. After several hours the crew stated that they were done despite the fact that many, many more loads remained to be moved from my old residence. I had to schedule another move day for them to come back and finish the move. I can deal with all of that as I am a reasonable person. What I can't deal with is the fact that they denied breaking the grill on my basement sliding glass door. They had to remove the door in order to get a large chair through the door so that's when it broke. Again, I am reasonable and I understand that things break. When the owner denied his crew's breaking the item, I sent him photos to jar his memory. Ultimately, the owner said he would send me a check (about $100) for the replacement part but despite several follow-up texts, refused to do so. I do not like to write negative reviews but neither do I like being disrespected. This was a very simple matter that could and should have been handled swiftly and professionally. read more

I hired them to move some expensive shelves. They did'nt take care when loading the shelves and one of them dropped to the tarmac and damaged. They then wanted only cash and refused to give me a receipt. There was no indication of the texts I received that it was a cash only. Also he said that he is insured but then refused to show his insurance. I said check as that how I always paid movers. They refused and tried to hold my goods hostage till I went to an ATM to pay. I had to call the cops and after that they agreed to venmo the money, still refused to give me a receipt. I wanted to warn anyone else who does business with them. I have not used this company but after a run in with them at my apartment complex, I will actively REFUSE to use or recommend them to ANYONE. My roommate and I had just gotten back to our complex after running some errands and found their moving truck parked in my roommate's handicapped parking spot. After asking them to move so we could park, they proceeded to keep us waiting for about 10 minutes before moving the truck and making a big deal about it, saying "It's common sense," to break the law by illegally parking in 2 handicapped spaces so they could move an apartment out. After a heated argument about how it was illegal and one of the employees saying that there was nothing wrong with my roommate, who has a non-visible disability, we have decided when we move, we will NOT be using this company and STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE TO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Hired these guys to do a local move (under 15 miles). As usual like any other movers, they came up to 3 hrs late. I used to live in a three level townhouse. The queen bed in master bed was heavy. Since it had some minor damages, I asked them to keep it curbside rather than loading it in the truck. Since I didn't want that bed, and since it was heavy they tried to push it down through the window (from 3rd level). Had to intervene and made them stop because I didn't want that to cause any damage to the rental I was leaving as well as neighbor's property. In the process they damaged the window screen. Also while dis assembling the bed, they caused damage to the bedroom walls. In the process of carrying the bed three level down, they had scratched the staircase rails. Now I need to pay my landlord for all these damages. Very disappointed. Won't recommend to anyone. Giving 1 star since there is no way to go lower than that Update 09/6/2017: Dude you have got the balls to make a false statement. When did I tell you that the bed won't be included? In your dreams? Do you want me to put a screenshot here of our texts regarding the damage and your response to that? I would be glad to do that. The only mistake I did was, I did not check the walls for any damage the same day. I saw the damage when I went to clean up the place after couple of days. Booking was easy and fast. So fast that I got my desired day within days. The movers were very polite and careful with all my items. And I am very picky! Only suggestion would be to wrap some blanket around certain items. But all came in in one piece. I recommend this group and will definitely book them again! read more

Ironically, this company came highly recommended by a friend. Response time to book the job was fast, price was ok. Then it all fell apart. I sat waiting for 1 hr 45 minutes after I received a txt that said "running a little.." And then I find out that the guy originally doing the move wasn't the guy who showed up. It was his brother who doesn't work for the company. Apparently his truck was broken so he called brother Fred...when I asked about compensation for his tardiness, I was told to talk to Fred ( which is when I was told Fred didn't work for the company). So now Fred makes himself the victim... He got caught in traffic, doing me a favor so I wouldn't be upset that the freezer (only thing being moved) wouldn't be moved today. He gave me a hard time about removing basemen door to fit freezer... Then one of the "feet" came off and he had to lay on the concrete floor to put back... He complained about that AND told me that people's happiness is more important than the money and that I was his worst customer Fomenji should have been honest with me and not wasted almost 2 hours of my time. Fred and his helper did the job; I'll never recommend this company though. read more

I contacted this company a week before my move, they were supposed to by at my home at 11AM, at 11:15 I texted them to see if they were on the way, they said "Not yet. It want to rain" (It's my stuff why should they care if it gets wet!?) They said they could do 1pm or 12. I said 12 would be better, they replied 1 would be good. Well 1 came and went. I finally called another company who said they would be at my house in an hour. Now it's 2 o'clock and I sent Fomenji a text saying never mind I found someone else. Just then a Uber Mercedes pulls up with two guys and he wants to argue with me on the phone. These people are NOT reliable, don't use them!! read more

Horrible company. I booked with them online a month in advance. They only communicate through text and never answer calls. I needed to know what time they would be arriving for my move. The owner texted me 1pm a week before my move and sent conformations daily as a reminder. At 2pm (the day of my move) when I hadn't heard from anyone I called and got no answer. I texted and asked if they were close and the owner texted me back "no" and that was it. He finally texted and said they would get to me at 4:30 pm. At about 4pm I get a text and he stated the workers were too tired and would not be able to move me until the next day and he offered to take off $50. The next day at 9 when they never showed up. I called and got no answer. He then texted back and said they were not coming because it was drizzling outside. They cost me so much extra money and were very unprofessional.
