The menu for outside is pretty simple, with four different fondue options (classic, champagne, paprika, and herb flavored) as well as a few salad and drink options. Once we were seated, we were greeted by a friendly waiter named Adam. While the menu was all in German, Adam very patiently explained all of the different dishes on the menu to us. We decided on ordering the champagne fondue and herb fondue, which both serve two people. The food came pretty quickly and was served with bread and potatoes. We ordered the two fondue pots for four people, but in hindsight, it was more than enough. Both fondues were very good; however, I prefer the champagne option as it was slightly less salty. I would still recommend both these options and thought the fondue was excellent. The texture and consistency was very smooth and did not feel too heavy. Overall, I had a great experience here. The one note that I will make about the place is that it was a little on the pricier side, but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant of you are in Thun for the day.

This cozy spot offers a wide selection of delicious fondues with unique flavors. Make a reservation for the patio as the restaurant's prime location gives you an amazing view of the Chapel Bridge and Old Town Lucerne. Our classic cheese fondue was tasty, but I loved the raclette! What is raclette? Raclette is a Swiss dish in which a wheel of semi-soft cow's‑milk cheese, traditionally from Valais, is heated and the melted layer is scraped onto potatoes, bread, and pickled vegetables. Raclette refers both to the cheese and the dish. The name comes from the French racler, meaning "to scrape," describing how the melted cheese is served. Our traditional raclette had a wedge of cheese that was heated on a special tabletop electric raclette machine. It was served with bowls filled with boiled red potatoes, cornichons, tiny, pickled pearl onions, steamed veggies, cubes of bread and sliced fruits. Loved the melted cheese that topped the fruits, veggies, pickles, potatoes and bread. Note: Although they do have chocolate fondue here, many Swiss Fondue restaurants do not.

I have attempted to update this Yelp address but worst case, go to google to see the correct address.....in Moléson Farm animals & rollercoaster landmarks helped to ensure we were in the right spot We parked at the bottom of the gravel road in an empty lot across the street - the road leading to the fromagerie is pedestrian only, so this will be your closest parking. Small incline leads you to deliciousness. There is a small case of cheeses and meats to the left and the restaurant is to the right. Very traditional setup with wooden tables and benches. We loved it from the first minute! We ordered the macaroni with cheese (it was penne but outstandingly scrumptious). The cheeses and caramelized onions were the perfect blend Also enjoyed the croûte with an egg.......this is much like a croque without the meat......it was heaven! As we ere lucky enough to find this lace at the beginning of our stay in the Gruyère district, you better believe we'll be coming back for that fondue!

Love, love, love the Raclette Factory…read more Really wanted to have another Raclette experience while in Switzerland. The first was in Lucerne and we loved it! Walked to the Raclette Factory from our hotel. Sat at a community table with a family from Argentina. They were so sweet. Their eleven year old was so animated and his parents were the sweetest. Fun to talk to them about travel, our mutual love of rollercoasters and science and the recent World Cup. The son loves Lamine Yamal. The dad is Team Messi. Our waiter, Flavio, made the evening our best choice. We really wanted to try a lot of different cheese flavors and combinations, so we had the Raclette All You Can Eat. Choose a couple of cheeses. Plain. Smoke. Garlic. Chili. White Wine. Red Wine. Blue cheese. Goat. Sheep. Truffle. Add toppings. It comes with pickles and pearl onions. Pickles and melted Raclette cheese. Unbelievably delicious. Add more toppings. Small potatoes, bread or mashed potatoes. So good! Started with the truffle and the red wine with the works, potatoes, mashed potatoes and cubes of bread. The truffle was my favorite of the cheeses and both the mashed potatoes and small potatoes were delicious. I think at the end we tried all of the cheeses but the original. We were stuffed!! Thank you to Flavio who really made our experience at the Raclette Factory a highlight of our visit to Zurich. Service was amazing and he gave us great recommendations. Definitely a night to remember.

Raclette is a dish of melted cheese over potatoes or bread. Which is very good, just extremely rich! I'm from Wisconsin, so I'm all about cheese, but this was a lot! The prices are very high for what you are actually eating, and we almost order the 'all you can eat" option, because it seemed like a good deal. So glad we didn't, because I would have had a tough time trying to eat another pile of melted cheese! We did order the "world best" garlic bread, which was good, but only average... not the world's best!
