Got the chicken tenders... for 3 strips... it was $20!!! It wasn't even a meal. Just 3 tenders. Thought that was slightly outrageous.

This year it was held in the poolside area at the beautiful SLS in Miami Beach. There are sooo many Asian food choices from Ramen to Tandoori chicken tacos. So many selections and only limited belly space! The vendors were perfectly spaced in the area where you have room to fully admire their yummy offerings, some displays looked more delicious than others. Every dish was flavorful and nicely decorated with additional seasonal sauces to further enhance the taste! To round out the night there was a dragon dance! Very colorful and entertaining! A round of applause goes to Lucky Rice for hosting such a beautiful and tasty event! There were so many delicious dishes that it will take too long to call out every vendor, you just have to go there and experience it for yourself, trust me, you won't be disappointed!!

To be fair, service was pretty slow at first--we didn't even have menus for a while. The restaurant had a full buyout event earlier and seemed to be playing catch-up. Our waitress was very apologetic, but initially we were definitely frustrated with the wait. Once the food and drinks started coming out, though, everything changed. Every dish was absolutely delicious and felt elevated and luxurious. Our favorites were the spicy tuna crispy rice, lamb chops, and beetroot maki. This place absolutely lives up to the hype and is somewhere I'll definitely return to. After dinner, the downstairs space transformed into a lounge/club atmosphere. It was packed, the energy was amazing, and it ended up being such a fun spot for dancing and drinks. Highly recommend!

We asked to sit downstairs where the DJ starts around 11PM. The energy was great with incredibly comfortable and spacious seating. There was a 2 hour limit at the table, but we moved to the bar after our meal. Loved the caviar potato as an appetizer, and the beef tenderloin literally melted in my mouth. The downstairs scene gets pretty loud just an FYI. Service was top notch. Seems pretty trendy and mainstream, but definitely worth it.

The ambience is secluded and warm without losing its chic feeling. The two chefs had a great personality and we had great conversations. The food was absolutely amazing. Each course had a completely distinct flavor profile and played off one another very well. None where so over powering that it made the other seem bland. Extremely well balanced with amazing flavors. For a nice night out. Stay at the beach for the weekend, take an uber to the restaurant, immerse yourself for an hour or so of culinary delight, and let the outside world melt away in the experience.

We normally check the Michelin Guide first but there's none for Miami so we decided to browse through Tock for fun. This was how we stumbled upon Sushi Bar and we are so glad we did! The price point of $185 per seating is super worth it. You get a lot of fish and they are very creative with each nigiri. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place. The atmosphere was dark and gave off speakeasy vibes, which I thought was different to other omakase places. Bar is spacious enough to still have private conversations. We did the beverage pairing and we really appreciated the sommelier's knowledge. Overall, we would want to come back again for another tasting experience!!

The restaurant is beautiful and our waiter was very kind. There was also a live DJ and at one point there was a performance from an aerialist. While we enjoyed our time here, I'm giving 4 stars because we found the food to be so-so. It was not bad, but also not great for a place that's considered upscale dining. We ordered: 1) Crispy Tuna Rice ($29) - Crispy Sushi Rice, Tuna, Spicy Mayo, Scallions, Jalapeño. 2) Teriyaki Mushrooms ($23) - Seasonal Mushrooms, Crispy Leek, Brussel Sprouts, Cilantro 3) Black Truffle Dumplings ($24) - Shrimp & Scallop, Shaved Truffles, Black Truffle Emulsion 4) Jaya Cucumber Salad ($19) - Tahini Miso Dressing, Tomato, Red Onion, Tofu, Ito Togarashi, Sesame Seeds 5) Hong Kong Style Sea Bass ($54) - Chilean Sea Bass, Ginger, Scallion, Herb Infused Soy, Cilantro 6) Prickly Pear Margarita ($22) - Corazón Tequila Blanco, Cointreau, Prickly Pear, Agave, Citrus, Lime Wheel 7) Strawberry Lemonade ($8) 8) Pistachio Soft Serve ($29) - Toasted Brown Butter Kataifi, Candied Pistachio 9) Hildon Sparkling Water ($10) A 20% service charge is already included so with that plus sales & county tax, the bill was $284.27. We found the food to be lacking in flavor and a bit bland. We were also disappointed with the Hong Kong Style Sea Bass as we expected a bigger piece of fish. While the food was whatever, I think the overall experience was still nice! However don't go having any high expectations about a fabulous delicious meal - go for the vibes, ha.

I absolutely loved the French toast, it came with a caramelized banana on top. It was as if I was enjoying some banana bread, the French toast was so soft to the bite. The service was wonderful. Everyone was extremely attentive. Parking is valet which is a flat rate of $40 if you are only there for breakfast. It goes up in price after 4 hours I believe. You can also park in a garage that's down the street which is way cheaper, if you don't mind walking a bit. Overall, we absolutely loved this spot for breakfast. I want to come back and try their lunch experience.
