I also bought canning supplies and picked up a few pointers on new easy canning lids. We also ordered sandwiches on fresh made Amish bread. Sandwiches are under $4 and you select your meat, cheese and toppings. I had a turkey sandwich and the bread was so soft that it melted in my mouth. I couldn't walk by the pastries without buying a fry cake - black raspberry to be exact. The shelves were filled with cream filled pies, cinnamon bread and cheese breads. My fry cake was delicious coated in a sugar glaze. They sell everything from bait and fishing supplies to salt for the water softener. The staff is friendly, though quiet. They do not accept credit cards or any form of electronic payment. We paid cash. There is plenty of parking, including space for your horse and buggy.

At the front of the store, when you enter by the produce, there are always fresh items on sale. If you sign up in their app for your phone, you can clip coupons and get even better deals. Many times the produce at the front of the store is cheaper than you can find at Meijer or Kroger. Right now, they have Florida strawberries for $1.50 with a clipped coupon, asparagus for $2.50 a pound, and cherry tomatoes for $1.50 a container. All of these prices beat Meijer.... I know, because I was just there! What I also like about Harvest Market is there are plenty of employees walking around the store and restocking items. It is always very easy to find someone to answer a question. This is unlike some grocery stores where you have to go to Customer Service to get any help and then wait in a line to reach the counter. So all of the old reviews that mention Marsh don't apply to this newer store, now called Needler's Fresh Market. I don't know -- I think Needler's is pretty good! It has a little bakery on site (Lemon's Bakery Cafe), which has hot food and baked goods, with seating by big windows that overlook Mass Ave. Beyond the cafe, the rest of the joint is a small grocery store. You'll find a modest produce section with fresh-looking greens and fruit and things. They sell house-made hummus and sushi. The wine section is abysmal, but I did find a bottle of one of my cheapie low-key favorite bottles of Malbec here, so I picked that up. The dried ramen section is also better than it needs to be. The prices seem to be about the same as Kroger and other grocery stores. Checkout was quick and there were several registers open. The only thing is that I entered through the cafe and exited by the registers, so I got a little turned around once I exited. Keep in mind that you can only enter/exit through the cafe at certain hours. They lock that door after a particular time. (I think it's 5 or 6 p.m.)

I would like to make this a "5" star review, but both times I have shopped here the cashiers were not friendly. They seem stressed and bothered to have to wait on me. However, I did pull up the same item on google and saw it listed at a BIG R for 269.99. I left intent to look other places for a tiller. I called the store later and inquired as to what their price was actually on the two tillers. I was told 359.99. I told them I had it on line priced at 269.99 at another Big R. The young associate said I should bring the ad in and show to a manager. So I did; the manager was indignant and stated THAT'S FOR A STORE IN COLORADO. OK, I understand that but 1... The two you have are not even showing on line 2.... The big signs all over the store state price matched if found ANYWHERE at a lower price...And in this case it was another Big R. The manager rudely told me that that BIG R was not the same as the BIG R here, again even though the sign says ANYWHERE. I will go to Home Depot from now on. Roy Herdman
