    Rex coffee selection.

Good place to pick up select to go items. Donuts, deli, bakery, etc. The prices are a tad high for Terre Haute standards but decent overall on select goods. Overall I don't do everyday grocery shopping here but do recommend it for specialty and select items. Great and friendly staff every time you go.

This place has very very good chicken. It also has a good selection of teas and drinks. This place is a great local grocery store to go to.

Love the chili at the deli. The salad bar has a great selection and is always fresh. The sushi is yummy. The guacamole at the deli is terrific. I appreciate how the employees 'want' to help you find what you need. I love how Baeslars will special order items like I wanted orange blossom honey, they ordered it and now carry it!! Same with U Bet chocolate syrup The muffins in the bakery are moist and delicious.

This store is great is not your average grocery store. Yes some will say it is high priced but sometimes you get what you pay for. They have an awesome food and salad bar and very nice meat department. They carry some of the items that are harder to find. They also have a very nice selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Its very clean and the staff is friendly and very helpful. Well done !

If your a Yelper, you know that this grocery store is a regular for so many in Terre Haute. It helps that they offer a free muffin with every Yelp Checkin, but even if they didn't, I would still shop here regularly. Every single person that is employed by Bob & Casey Baesler are helpful, courteous and always diligently working to keep the store "A Level Above" the rest. They offer a very large variety of items that other stores do not carry. The best part is knowing that is they do not carry a certain item, they will special order anything your little heart desires. Not only is the store a great place to shop, but the fact that the Baesler Family are extremely community minded and believe in giving back to a large variety of non-profit organizations makes people want to frequent Baesler's even more. Another exciting part of Baesler's is the fact their commitment to sustainability and the environment make me even more excited that I am a regular. Any store that is committed to reducing plastic bags with Cresbi Crates and thinking about the Wabash Valley environment is top-notch. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone from out of town, or if your just moving here, make sure you come in just one time... YOU will DEFINITELY be HOOKED.

OK, the fact that we got a free muffin for checking in didn't hurt. Got the late night munchies and wanted something sweet. Yelp reviews led us to the grocery store about four miles from us in the suburbs. Pulling up it looked pretty abandoned. Doughnuts were running low but we managed to get about five to try including decadent cream filled longhorns, croissant doughnuts (my favorite) and a chocolaty longhorn. Hubby likes super sweet doughnuts and this fit the bill. We couldn't leave without checking out the cold dessert case and yes, left with strawberry shortcake and carrot cake. Everything was so yummy. Hopefully I will emerge from my diabetic coma with all appendages intact! Great prices and nice selection!

    Booze at Beasler's Market.

Meijer (which I do not have in Las Vegas where I actually live) in my head is way better than Walmart and Kroger, but not as good as a boutique grocery spot like Baeslers or the health driven option of Fresh Thyme. This location is horribly convenient where highway IN46 and I-7O converge. Like the casino that is being built right here as well, often it can be about location location location. Having been in this store a few times over the years, I always find it clean, bright and open, football field size massive, well stocked and always organized with a good welcoming feel. It always is never horribly busy to me compared to Walmart, which is a negative for Meijer but a positive for me. I can always find the produce I am looking for in their abundant produce section and it is pretty good quality. We have had luck with the prepackaged salmon at the meat case. Conveniently located. Pretty well stocked every time I visit. Clean. I do return and will continue to do so when back in Terre Haute.

I know this store is in the process of remodeling the inside, but there are a couple of things amiss. Where did the nonalcoholic beer go? There used to be several varieties, but now there are none to be found and no place for it on the shelves.. And the nonalcoholic section is all mixers some that actually contain alcohol!! And the section of nonalcoholic spirits and wines have been reduced by half! Is not being an alcoholic to woke now or what???

In the UP, seems there are few places that have produce reasonably priced. Most grocery stores…read morecharge double or more for the same fruits or veggies that I can get in my area near Chicago. For example, the 79-cents a pound plums are more like $2.29 in the UP at the store. Luckily, there's a roadside produce stand like Spiessl's on the edge of Neugaunee along US-41, right next to the "Welcome to Ishpeming" sign on the road, if you're headed westbound. This place is nothing more than a series of tents and some tables with no distinguishing signs to draw attention on the road. You just have to know it's there and stop in if you're headed to or from Marquette. The Spiessl name is that of the family who runs the business, which is what the girl at the cash register told me. The place is a pretty bare-bones operation with the tables, a scale, cash register and boxes of produce marked with hand-written prices. During the growing season, it's open from morning till sunset every day. The corn here is usually the bi-color yellow/white variety, always succulent and soft. They also have cherries, blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes brought in from the Lower Peninsula. Perhaps my favorite find on this trip were the freshly picked Michigan peaches, all soft and fuzzy and juicy, not like the flavorless rock apples from California you buy at the supermarket. There were still green leaves attached to some of the fruits! They also have awesome sweet mini-watermelons the size of cantaloupes. And they carry another Upper Michigan specialty - the club-like 2-foot long monster-sized zucchini that you can probably use to bludgeon a person to death. And you never know what you may find there. Last summer, I got a cluster of mid-sized, perfectly round and flavorful tomatoes. I asked where they are from and to my surprise - Israel of all places! Amazing how they turned up in the Michigan UP. They were so good that I saved the seeds to plant in my garden next year. Finally, it seems they have the best deal on bananas too, 40 cents a pound, for my hungry Stunt Boy who runs on banana fuel sometimes. Hard to beat that even in Chicago.
