Years ago (around 2016) I came here for my first time... picked up a couple things to have in our hotel room while passing through Naples. While here, my wife and I both ordered some smoothies. I can't recall the ones we had but they were memorable because we have always said, "next time back in Naples, we are returning here". A year later, we kept to our word and returned.... still delicious. Now it's been quite a few years since our last visit; even the location of the smoothie shop/stand was relocated but I had no worries the smoothies would still be great. No one was in line but we also noticed no one at the counter taking orders or making smoothies... no big deal, we waited for a moment. Now others are in line behind us and my wife was going to walk over to the main store and ask if anyone is available but then a girl appeared from a door to a back area.... With about 8 other people behind us at this point she didn't even acknowledge the line... the lady behind us yelled if anyone was able to take an order. She gestured one moment with her hands but was cutting fruit. Another girl came into the smoothie shop and also did not acknowledge the line.... With 8 other people in line, the lady behind us gave up and walked away. We were going to yell over to the girls (both cutting and/or prepping something else) but we were just annoyed at this point and figured it's just not worth it. This used to be my go‑to place for lunch--the Greek salad is always good. However, I can't go anymore after seeing so many people in the kitchen not wearing gloves or hairnets. Several employees preparing and handling the food weren't wearing gloves, and others had long hair hanging close to the food with no hairnets. No gloves, no hairnets, no aprons--and no one seems to care. It's very unsanitary. I'm surprised the BOH hasn't written them up. I spoke with the person who claimed to be the manager yesterday, and she seemed completely clueless. Most of the staff doesn't speak English, so placing an order is a challenge, and it always comes out wrong. I've given up on this place. read more

Great smoothie, juice, and coffee bar. They also serve beer and have inside seating as well as an outdoor bar and lots of seating under the trees. The other side of the store has one of the only fully organic grocery stores in the area and a great cafe for breakfast or lunch. I have loved this place for years and it only gets better! read more

Holy organic! This place is amazing. The live music on Sunday was such a great vibe. The owner and multiple servers would always come check on us. They were attentive and easy to talk to. I went on a Friday night when they had live jazz and enjoyed the ambience and shopping experience. There is an organic grocery store, cafe with fresh food, as well as an adjacent clothing store, Thoughtful Threads in the same complex. The groceries seemed very high quality and unique (many brands not found in regular stores) which reflected in the price. They also have an extensive sweets section with lots of vegan options (cheesecakes, bars, breads). I didn't try their cafe food, but they were definitely busy and popular. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (with shade) and seems like a nice spot to get some work done. What a wonderful warm WELCOME from Mo when ordering lunch! The passion that the entire TEAM has is like no other. The food choices were excellent. I ordered the sweet potato corn soups which was one of the most flavorful soups I have had. I shared the Greek salad special with chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy. This is one of my favorite health food stores in the entire country! They have a great restaurant area, with specials and regular menu items, which are all good or great. They also have a lot of grab & go items with lots of vegan choices too. They have a juice counter area where you order juices and smoothies separately. You can choose to eat at inside tables or in their beautiful patio area which is canopied with trees. Their adjoining healthy products store has a great selection with smart, nice, helpful workers. They also have an excellent produce area. Overall they excel in all areas and make it so pleasurable. I wish I lived in Naples so I could come here more often! It is a health foodie haven. read more

Don't tip. You do the work, you get the tip. Horrible. Go and find out (but don't really). Overpriced dry pre-prepared food with crappy counter service, if you have questions or follow up questions. And, they have the audacity to have a tip line. If someone comes to you at, say, a bar or restaurant table, then you are receiving service and you tip. If you wait in line at, say, McDonalds or Publix, then you are receiving counter service and you don't tip. Basically, if you don't tip at McDonalds, then you don't tip at Food & Thought. They don't bus their tables and don't refill your water and don't refill your soda. You do the work, you get the tip. read more

This market was close to our rented house when we vacationed in Naples. We walked the 1.2 miles every morning for an amazing latte on their beautiful patio outside. Shopped a lot there as well, great natural organic brands, prices were okay, considering everything's natural/organic. Had dinner with 3 other people. Arrived and placed an order for drinks, waited for our drinks, while waiting we ordered our food. The soup arrived and then our entree. I finally ask the waitresses where are the drinks. 45 minutes and they arrived. Ordered a vodka and tonic with a lime twist waitress bring back a bowl of lemons. Order a 2nd drink again I ask for vodka tonic with a lime twist, she bring me lemon. The food was adequate but not for the price that we paid. Ordered a simple beer and it took 15 minutes. Wait staff standing around, got someone attention for some water and lemons, never received. Maybe it was a bad night but it was slow at 7pm. Will not go back, my guest were stunned at the service. If I could eat at one place for the rest of my life, it would be Food and Thought. I very much admire how everything at the store is organic, and how friendly all of the staff is. It is hard to find a place where you know you are getting great quality food at an affordable price, so I do have peace of mind whenever I eat at Food and Thought. For breakfast I had the Freedom's Big Breakfast meal. It comes with two eggs any style, your choice of half an avocado or toast, turkey or regular bacon, and breakfast potatoes, fruits, or grits. I ordered two eggs over easy with half an avocado, regular bacon, and breakfast potatoes. I could not eat lunch because I was so full from this meal. Everything on the plate was spectacular. The eggs were cooked perfectly and they tasted amazing. The bacon was also very good and it wasn't too greasy. It was cooked perfectly, it wasn't too overdone or too soft. The avocado was perfectly ripe and very creamy. Lastly the breakfast potatoes were so amazing! They had great flavor with hints of spice and they had such a great crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside texture. I had to come back the same day for snack because their smoothies sounded amazing. I got the piña colada smoothie and it was so refreshing and delicious. All of the fruits they put in it tasted very fresh and it was perfect to drink on a hot summer day. Food and Thought is also a market with lots of cool organic products and fresh produce. I wish I had one of these where I live! I also wish I had gotten pictures of my meals but I couldn't wait to eat! This is tough, I know it is deserving of more than a 3 but also the food did not automatically win me over. Overall, you're going to get yummy good, an awesome environment, decent service and lots of healthy choices. It's out in the open seating, with lovely tree/tables. Place was filled for lunch and lots of yummy choices filled the walls above the order counter. Hard to choose but def good selection. I opted for the quesadilla and tomato soup. The soup was good, it's your classic tomato soup. A bit oily but still tasty. Croutons would've been nice. Quesadilla was also decent. Crispy and good amounts of cheese and avocado. The salsa was supposed to be green (per the description) but came with red salsa. It was good. I really enjoyed the place, and atmosphere and want to try more of their menu. I think it's only a matter of time before I try something and fall in love. So that's why I'm awarding it a 4 star rating for now. Waited for food, and didn't tell me that they were out of chicken till my husband received his food. Ordered a grill cheese with not tomatoes. My daughter is a vegetarian and likes to come here, I have in the past always ordered the "Bunny Wrap It" and loved it. Basically a raw vegan burrito wrapped in a large collard green leaf w veggies and cashew cheese. Today i got a sloppy salad on top of 3 browning collard leaves. Didn't taste good , didn't look good, impossible to hold and eat like before. A couple of the ingredients listed were not there and replaced with said salad. The quality of this place has gone downhill while the prices have gone up. Too many good options to come back for subpar everything. read more

I stopped in here for lunch on a weekday. I had a cup of vegetable soup and a cup of lentil soup for about ten dollars. I thought it was a great deal as the cup was more like a bowl. They also had a lovely outdoor seating area which was quite comfortable, sunny and spacious!! They were giving away free tastings of apple pie and blueberry pie too. I loved the free tastings too so much that I bought a slice of blue berry pie to go. It didn't have any butter and was very fresh!! A local who grew up in Naples recommended it to me and I was grateful for such a good suggestion. Two thumbs up! read more
