I was in this location for the first time a few days ago. I was shocked how good their produce looked, and cheap as well. I spent around $50 on fresh fruit and veggies. The same amount would have cost me $100 or more at most other grocers. Also grabbed a large pkg of beef, large pork shoulder, and a big pkg of chicken thighs. All great prices. Grated cheese was an excellent deal too so grabbed a couple big bags. The only thing I skipped buying were condiments and canned goods. Didn't find deals on brands I eat in any of those. I'll definitely be returning soon. read more

I was at the store on Florence Blvd. in Casa Grande, AZ. After my experience yesterday: ZERO STARS!! I was using the self-checkout, and the supervisor came over because I was purchasing 4 alcoholic beverages. She asked me for my ID (I'm 58) and I provided it without saying a word (I get it, that's how it is in today's world). Then she asked for my wife's ID (she's 47), but my wife didn't have her ID with her. The supervisor stated it is company policy to ask for both people's ID. Really? I don't think so!! Woman was a complete MORON and rude!! I walked out of there and will NOT BE returning ever again. read more

I have a complaint for one of the hot food employee at 1162 E Florence blvd casa grande, AZ 85122 #21. 6/3/23 at 14:41pm. My mother ordered 2 menudos with talia who was extremely rude ( when my mother ask if there was still menudo she didn't respond and used the ladle to move around the menudo). While she was cooking the tortillas, talia was visited by another employee who handed her a document. Talia then left the area and came back when another employee arrived and Talia left to the far end of the hot food area to chat with that other employee and did not return to assist my mom for 15 minutes. Another worker arrived and attempted to help my mom and my mom paid for the food but was not given her food. That worker then asked Talia if she had the menudo and Talia yelled to my mother!!! "I already gave you the menudo and pozole and tortillas". My mother said no you didn't. She yelled again the same thing and the other worker pointed to where the food was and Talia proceeded to SNATCH the tortillas, menudo and roughly bag them and tossed it to my mom. My mom asked for her name so she may complain about this unprovoked encounter and Talia response was "it's Talia, like the actress, want me to write it down??" Absolutely no need to treat my mother this way!! For whatever reason she decided to take it out on my mother is absolutely horrid and Talia should not be working customer service since she obviously does not have the professionalism to do so. My mother felt threaten on how the employee approached my mother in a aggressive way and being tossed hot soup at her. If I don't get contacted to rectify this issue I will take legal action toward food city and TALIA personally! read more

Like wow found everything I needed and wanted. Stuff perfectly divided. Goyo yes every Puerto Rican's favorite selection. It was like heaven on earth for me finding everything I needed to make my stay here even better and homey. Homey being smells from kitchen that when you smell it it's like being home devouring home cooks meals. But yeah I was really amazed first time being in one so please don't be like wth there's million of them. I'm from Reno NV we only have little marketons of these. So selection is nothing in comparison. The meat the cakes the produce. This place had it all and I was able get everything I needed and not have to go to others stores to find missing item. But yes like every shopper that does not bring list. I forgot butter. Lol. I know it's there I was just so stoked on finding seasoning and everything else that I forgot main item for cooking. Disappointed in the deli/taco/burrito section as you walk into the store. Not only did they hike up their prices on their food, but this time they wanted to also charge us almost a $1 for adding a little cheese inside the burrito (which they had not charged extra for before when we ordered burritos). A Mexican burrito should have cheese inside, and customers should not be paying extra for that. What happened to the days when cheese was always part of the Mexican food experience? That is what we always loved about Mexican food. But, since this place wanted to charge us extra for a little cheese sprinkled inside our burrito, I am guessing they are doing the same for their tacos and other items. When a business has to "nickel and dime" customers, it is time to eat elsewhere. We will not be returning. read more

The store it self needs updating but the food deals and selections are good...the wife goes here as well as Fry's to get groceries and if not found at either then Walmarts the last stop....I do see they cater to the Mexican more so but,with the sells every week then it can be delt with even though I don't do Mexican foods. read more

If you haven't shopped at Food City for their fruit and veggies, your missing out. Their prices are very good and their items fresh. Check their sales, nobody compares. Sales such as four avocados for $1 and 4 or 6 cucumbers for $1. While there, try their "all made on location" toastados, the Ranchero Chicken specifically. The staff are very nice and the store has just been remodeled. They even have a live Mariachi band play there sometimes. Been shopping there for the last 9 years. read more

Good prices on produce, canned beans and weekly specials. Caters to hispanic shoppers and their favorite foods. The bad side is the produce is second rate like the dollar store. If you buy it eat it fast or it will go bad like the plums and nectarines that I had go bad in two days. Check bags of produce for any bad items. One bad item spreads fast. Use the carrots fast before they mold. These huge bags of carrots they buy from somewhere are also sold at Winco but theirs are good for a month. FC is good for a week. They are very limited on healthy foods besides produce. If you are trying to eat healthy this is a great second store to use. They make their own salsa and guacamole. They also have some hard to find Mexican beer like Bohemia. read more

Yep. I've never seen vegetables so cheap. I walked out of the store with three full bags of vegetables and spent less than $10. Heads of cabbage - 2 for a dollar? What?! Plus, they carry all the animal bits, hearts, livers, all kinds of feet and gizzards, that most stores won't bother with. If you're looking to make some good old style food grandma's way, they got the goods. They got quite a spice selection, and their in-house tortilleria is great. Of all the grocery stores I've ever been to in the United States of America - Food City in Casa Grande wins. Quality products, quality employees. read more
