Shoutout to Cierra, who delivered fast and friendly customer service. This store's atmosphere is great as well- friendly, helpful, always clean and well organized. I come to Trader Joe's primarily for their organic breads, specialty drinks and desserts, single ingredient dog treats, non-scented body products, and their chocolate chips, which are kosher, gluten free, AND DAIRY-FREE! These items prices at Trader Joe's cannot be beat, and I love that I can go to a store to pick them up the same day versus ordering something so specific online to be shipped. This location is continually busy, but long lines move quickly, and the staff seem to always have a smile on their face while they work efficiently. The parking lot is also continually busy and can become a bit congested, so have patience. Still a great Trader Joe's. This past weekend we visited the Gunbarrel location after celebrating a birthday at a nice restaurant near by. It was convenient to stop in while we were in the area instead of going downtown. The selection was good. The store was clean, well stocked, staff were respectful. We found a few new labels to try that we haven't seen at the other locations however the staff seemed to target us. We were followed around the store by several employees who were nice but it was obvious that we we're being watched since they were not treating anyone else the way they were us: aggressively asking if we needed help every six minutes (I timed it after I noticed no one else was being asked) and following us around the store. We weren't being loud or disrespectful but we were dressed differently (since we had been out celebrating) than most of the other casually dressed shoppers. Due to being made to feel like we were being constantly watched and judged our shopping trip was cut short. After leaving this store we finished shopping at the downtown location where we were treated like regular shoppers. While I am still very much a Whole Foods fan, I won't be going back to the Gunbarrel location again.

I was so excited when I learned that GFS was coming and couldn't wait for opening day! This store is amazing. It has grocery items, fresh produce, a international aisle, deli, pantry items, grab n go items including an entire rotisserie chicken for $5.00, meat and seafood, kitchen ware and freshly made popcorn ( Carmel and other flavors too) , dairy and frozen sections and best of all ; no membership fee. It carries items for your home or business (small restaurant) meaning that they carry very large sized items like 35lb of liquid frying shortening or 180 egg carton. It has aisles with cooking fluid, cleaning supplies , kitchenware, disposable plates, cups and gloves. It's like going to Oz! I was amazed at the vast inventory they carry and really good prices. We picked up a 50 count package of frito lay chips ( snack size) for $14.99. A pint of blue berries for $1.99 and a case of 12 ounce bottles of Coke de Mexico for $24.00. Just to name a few...... My cart was completely loaded and I came in just to look. We've been waiting a long time for a grocery store to come to this neighborhood and GFS doesn't disappoint. Located behind Pizza Bros. A lady that works there gave me a water and finished my cart and had it waiting after I felt better and returned. I will find her and thank her properly next time I'm in there. Easily Accessible: You can come in here and get the things you need and get out quickly. The prices are about the same as Walmart or it seemed that way. What they have vs what the don't have: They don't have an electronics department but they do have $3.74 DVD dump bin. It's a small one located at FOS in front of the pharmacy. They don't have an automotive department. This looks to just be a grocery store only with a pharmacy. I didn't see any toys, sporting goods or clothes. This should help you out as far as what is in this store. Everybody was friendly that I talked to and they are no where near as busy as a Walmart.

So let's start at the beginning. *bring a quarter* you need it in order to get a buggy/ shopping cart. They offer a few name brand items - don't let that scare you away from their brands. We have found that we prefer a few of their items over name brand. The produce is very interesting. I can typically always by fruit there and it be less expensive than other places and just as good of quality. The potatoes and avocados those are good as well. They have a good selection of organic. And they always have good mushrooms at a low price. When it comes to salad cucumbers and peppers we go elsewhere. They have beautiful pumpkins in at $3.99 ! Wow. We LOVE their brand of orange juice and almond milk. I'm scared to mention their selection of hummus for fear they won't have any left. This store always has cool chocolates and treats around the holidays. Be prepared for long lines that move swiftly. Another hint - bring your own bags. You either have to purchase bags or load your purchases in a box. My negatives - you never know from one week to the next if you will have certain items. They are very seasonal with certain things. They constantly run out of basics. My final thing - it's really lovely to pay it forward with the shopping carts...its a quarter folks - make someone's day.
