Found this place on Yelp after looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite in Dublin, and it exceeded all expectations! I could tell the food was fresh cooked, and the dishes were extremely flavorful. I got the chicken kebab, my boyfriend got the lamb kebab, and we both basically licked our plates clean. The staff was super friendly and courteous as well. Best gyro and falafel I've had in years! And the baklava is buttery, sweet, deliciousness! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

The owner is very nice. Ahmed went out of his way to ensure our food was great quality. The chicken shawarma wrap is one of the best I have ever had. Not dry and not too saucy. They even precut the bites which makes it super easy to eat. The hummus is freshly made and it was by far one of the best hummus and pita bread I have ever had. My first and only visit (certainly more to come!) to Food Hamati for carry out was very positive! My take out order of falafel, baba ganouch and hummus was freshly mand delicious. My only regret was that I did not order more falafel. The tasty bites are some of the best I have ever had - crispy on the outside with a moist blend of savory goodness on the inside. This place is killer. It's unassuming but don't let that fool you. The food is excellent and the staff friendly. 5/5 would dine again!

First time here and definitely won't be our last! We enjoyed the Cucumber Yogurt Salad, Falafel (5 stars on their own) warm Cauliflower Salad, Grape Leaves, and Chicken Shawarma Wrap Combo. All food was fresh, authentic and delicious. We finished off with the Baklawa (first time in Columbus I've had it with Pistachios as it should be!) Went in at 10 and it looked closed. They said they were open and took our order. They have a screen with their menu right in front of the register that makes ordering easy. We got a falafel wrap, a chicken shawarma, and a lamb wrap. The food was very fresh. Nice big portion for the price. The fries were really good. Customer service was friendly. I have visited here twice with a friend from Syria. He has been searching in a number of American cities for authentic middle eastern food and was thrilled to find this restaurant. In particular, he's been on a quest for authentic shawarma and he says he found it here. Both the meat and the pita in the chicken shawarma wrap do indeed seem different to me from that which I've tasted elsewhere and he tells me this is the standard by which I should judge the others. We also had really good fattoush and kibbeh. Service was friendly and quick as well. Don't look for much ambiance here, just surprisingly good food. read more

Update: The food is getting worse here. Not sure what's going wrong in the kitchen. It was a slow Monday night and they were not particularly busy, but it took them forever to make the food. You would think that since they took so long to make the food that it would at least be fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, it was the opposite. The chicken was dry. Everything was over cooked. Even the hummus was off and unseasoned. More like chickpea purée than anything. I hope they take a hard look at what they are doing differently and go back to the way they were doing it when everybody was raving about the food when they first opened. Holy cow. This was some of the best chicken shawarma I have ever had. If you've ever been to Los Angeles, this place really reminded me of Zankou Chicken. Huge portion for a great price. After reading so many great reviews, went in to get dinner. Falafel platter was really disappointing. Everything was dry. There was Hummus but no pita to go with the Hummus. There was falafel but no yogurt sauce. I looked for extra sauce etc. in the condiments but there was only ketchup available. I guess I had high expectations. The best shwarma that we've had since we lived in the Middle East 30 years ago. He makes his own wraps and they are perfect for the food.

We just ate at Food Hamati and are delighted to say it has been over 30 years since we had such delicious meat and felafel wraps! It was our first time to go there. The food they make is all homemade fresh, and deliciously flavored. We had homes, tabbouli salad, meat rap and felafel wrap. Oh the food was delicious. This restaurant is passionate about authentic Jordanian cooking. I have become an instant fan of their homemade bread wraps. You tube has a video of the bread making. I'm still smiling a half hour later. I've lived in the Middle East and did not know how much I missed the real thing until I had dinner tonight. read more

*After having been open for some time now, and establishing a more "precise" customer base, it appears they've dramatically decreased in service and appeal to the more broad community. Their wait times have tripled for carry out orders and the food is almost always cold or subpar. If you're ordering carry out, do so there, and DON'T LEAVE. If you so much as sit outside, they'll give your order to a friend or "community peer" and they'll lie and say that they just want your food to be fresh. Friends and family are very clearly given priority over other patrons. If you call, they'll tell you 20-30 minutes, but don't actually make it until you show up to pick it up....Which would be fine if they did that for your whole order, but instead they'll make some of it ahead of time, or give some of it to a buddy in the dining room. So half your order will be cold and half of it hot. The kitchen staff clearly has no idea how to cook and manage food to be ready at the same time...they quickly outgrew their space and capabilities. We waited over an hour for our last order, which was for 10 falafel, a chicken shawarma wrap and a meat shawarma wrap, with no exclusions or substitutions. It all had to microwaved, it was so cold.
