We ordered fried pork dumplings, beef Lo mein and sesame chicken combo. Pork dumplings- very good and filled with pork! No fillers at all. Beef Lo mein- good but basic. I ordered Singapore chow mei fun any restaurant I ordered from Im always satisfied. This one literally was the nastiest one I've tasted : they used the wrong noodles. It had no flavor I ask for very spicy it's didn't have any type of spice in it . It's like They forgot to add the spices or something . Noodles was over cooked . Pork fried rice was also disgusting. I order from this place all the time. On a busy Friday night i picked up a $70 order and when i got home i realized they gave me a wrong entree. I called them and told them, they told me to come in and pick up the correct one.. when i got there they asked me to return the order they messed up on (which i did not bring) i told them i can bring it back after dinner since i was already there. They did not want to hear it and sent me back home without the correct replacement meal to eat the rest of the food that was cold now at home. We don't order often but when we do we always "hope for the best" the last few times the food was average but the service was horrible. We've been getting takeout from here for about seven or eight years. I haven't noticed the deterioration in quality mentioned, but like many place - maybe it's the time of day and what you order. We usually get ribs, Mushu vegetables, maybe beef and broccoli - pretty basic stuff. I've found that fried foods are always a bit of a risk, so I keep away from that. We pick up at the counter, mostly in the evening, and the service is always polite and quick. If there's a better place locally, I haven't found it yet. Very friendly service. Just stopped in to grab a soup and egg roll that I could eat at home. Took 20 minutes to get home and that wonton soup was still nice and hot which was great. The crispy noodles they give you are the typical thin ones and they came in a half size bag. Maybe thats the size they serve with lunch specials but, I didn't get one. The roast pork egg roll was crispy on the outside, and it tasted good. Nothing bad to say and I would like to try one of their dishes next time. I did find the hot mustard not a personal favorite though. The packets they give you taste like yellow mustard that is just hotter, more than the actual flavor of Chinese mustard. So if you're a Chinese mustard fan I would opt for the house mustard instead. read more

So this has been our go to Chinese place for the last couple of years but after today's experience they have lost my office business. We order a variety of items but two items we ordered were General Tso's chicken with white meat and pork fried rice, easy right? Apparently not. We received the meal with white rice instead of fired rice, yes a mistake. But what really set us off was that the chicken wasn't chicken at all. It was total breaking breading and no meat. It was like ordering a Zeppoli in sauce. When we called to alert them of this issue, they refused to credit it to a future order and forced us to come to the store. I drive all the way to the store, and without even looking at the food begins to argue with me. The food was clearly wrong and he gave me our money back to get me out of there. He even deducted for the soda we forgot to bring back, of course he didn't consider my gas or time. He didn't even offer to remake it. Terrible customer service and a nasty manager. He lost our business forever and I will make sure everyone in our office building is fully aware of their business practices. The service here was LESS than desirable and in POOR taste. I placed an order which included a 1/2 fried chicken and found saw that it was dry AND burned once I reached home. I phoned "Food King Express" to speak with someone about the problem and was told at first that there was NOTHING that they could do. Knowing that I'd just spent over $30 on my entire order, I asked to speak to a manager and was THEN told by the woman on the phone "Just bring it in and we will make a new one". With that said I carted the burned and hardened meal back. Once there, the SAME woman began to tell me that 'it was hard and brown because I put sauce on it'. In disbelief I said, " How could hot sauce and ketchup BURN chicken and make it THIS hard. I asked her to break a piece off in order to FEEL how HARD and BURNED it was and with MUCH debate she RELUCTANTLY agreed to replace it. THE FOOD WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL. THE MANNER WHICH SHE TREATED ME WHEN I RETURNED WITH THE BURNED HARDENED FOOD WAS IN VERY POOR TASTE AND NOT AT ALL PROFESSIONAL. By the time she agreed to replace the order she said, "Next time you check your order." and I sat down thinking that I wouldn't tell a customer that and that if "I" owned a business ID CHECK MY PRODUCT TO MAKE SURE I PROVIDED AT LEAST A DECENT ONE. This woman was so nasty and rude that I really wanted to let others know that FOOD KING EXPRESS IS NOT A CUSTOMER FRIENDLY BUSINESS. When I asked for her name--she refused and when I asked for the managers name she was only there for ONE day and DID NOT KNOW the managers name. So I walked away dismayed feeling there was no one for me to complain to. THE RATING OF THIS RESTAURANT IS A ZERO IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND COOKING FOOD APPROPIATELY.
