Okay, I'm gonna be fair finally and update my old review for a couple of reasons. First, they did…read morelet go of that employee who was a jerk. Second, I did try their fried chicken finally a while back, and it was decent - though not world changing (3 stars for the chicken). Third - and the reason I'm giving them 4 stars - is their Dubai bar. I've had Dubai bars from a fair number of places in multiple states by now, and this is easily the best one I've had! And I've had it several times now! The price for the size of it is very decent at $12.50, and as you can see it is large, just like my banana! :) And the pistachio crème in that cross section is generously filled and delicious! It is melty and gooey and just a terrific treat! When I think Dubai bar and what a standard chocolate bar with pistachio crème ought to be, this is it. Inside of the store is still trashy though. But I'm happy to run in, buy a Dubai bar, and get out.

I always get the 6 piece wings & wedges with an extra hawaiian roll & double hot sauce. The hot sauce is texas pete of course and perfect for dipping. The wings are a good size, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Most of the time, half of the wedges are gone on the way home. Both the chicken and wedges are hand battered and seasoned well. Definitely check them out. Don't let the appearance of the building sway you. It is the best chicken ever. Give their fried okra and chicken nuggets a try as well.

By far the worst grocery store in the greater triad area. Non caring employees and small nasty…read morestore. Selection is horrible and a lot of the time there is out of date and expired merchandise on the floor for sale. Dont expect to get any help from anybody at this store. Never anybody in the deli, so I can never get sandwich meats, or deli items. Nobody ever says hello or offers to help. This place really makes you appreciate a good grocery store. Like anywhere besides here. I tried to call the store and speak to the manager about my concerns, but the line is always busy. I even called corporate, but their office was closed. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else. Absolutely the worst customer service ever.

It seems kind of silly reviewing Food Lion, because seriously... what do you expect??…read more Their produce always looks bruised and/or brown. I once bought raspberries from here and they were molded the very next day; they weren't on sale, I never got to taste them, and it wasn't even 24 hours yet. I've never seen such sparse product selection at a grocery store. It's really more like a convenience store. On top of that, where do they find these cashiers? I have to remind myself that this is Food Lion: you can't expect employees to be happy to be there; you can't expect them to say "hello" or "thank you" or really, say anything other than "MVP?" (in reference to the Food Lion card). Food Lion--it's what you get when you take something crummy like Walmart, throw out all other departments except the grocery, and make produce age a week before selling them.

I have read nothing but rave reviews about the food here but I just always skipped over trying it…read moresince it's a little out of the way for me. Acadia Foods is a small market/ restaurant. They have a small selection of produce, local meat, dairy and a nice craft beer selection. They also have a booming CSA box business because there was a whole counter and fridge/freezer devoted to it. I'd like to look into that in the future. We ordered at the counter after looking at the menu for quite a while. Everything sounded so good and I had a hard time deciding from the innovative menu. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but there were tons of options for those that are so this is a perfect place for you. We got the breakfast burrito with house made tofu chorizo and the BAT sandwich. My husband got a black coffee but lots of people were getting drinks from their extensive coffee menu so don't hesitate to order what you like. I prefer water so that's what I had. The dining area was full when we got there but there were open seats at the counter and outside. We grabbed a couple stools at the counter where we could watch the coffee drinks being made. As a non-coffee drinker l, I'm still fascinated with coffee culture so it was fun seeing the different components going into each drink. While we waited for our main dishes we ate a piece of their Salted Honey Pie Bar. Oh my goodness it was love at first bite and I will be returning for that item alone! My husband said it reminded him of the filling in pecan pie without the pecans but it was not nearly as overly sweet. Instead this had a perfect balance of sweet and salty with a firm texture that held its shape in a delicious flaky crust. I think the Salted Honey Pie Bar here is one of my top 5 desserts. When the food arrived everything was hot and fresh. We shared everything so we started with the BAT sandwich. The bacon was delicious and crispy and the roasted tomato and arugula were so good too! I do wish it had a little more ingredients to it. For the price, it didn't seem as much of a value as some of the other items around the same price. The burrito was large and was topped with salsa, a little cheese and jalapeño. This is a dish meant to be eaten with a fork and knife. It's full of potato's, the house made tofu chorizo, egg and cheese. It packed a punch though so just be aware of that in case you need to cool off your mouth with a cold drink. The friendly service here was on par with the best restaurants in town. It was clean and open with a family friendly atmosphere. Thanks for the wonderful food and service Acadia Foods!

The service is a little bit transactional, but it was also busy during our visit. It took about 25 minutes to receive our order, so my coffee was gone before the food arrived. The BAT was a bit underwhelming, a bit dry and lacked much substance for the $10 price tag. It really needed more arugula and tomatoes to make it refreshing. It tasted like two slices of toast with crispy bacon. Good toast, good bacon, but some more veggies would have been nice. The Breakfast Burrito we ordered with house made tofu was loaded with potatoes, cheese, eggs and topped with salsa. It was spicy and filling, well worth the trip here. We ordered a cup of coffee, but weren't sure of their refill policy on drip coffee, but none were offered even though we sat at the counter. We also had a Salted Butter Pie which was delicious. It reminded me of pecan pie, without the pecans. Overall a solid first visit. We will be back to try that Collard Melt and Fancy Bologna Sandwich.
