Acadia foods has quickly become one of my Winston Salem staples, the consistency of high quality food and service keeps bringing me back!

An incredible experience I did not expect. I knew the food was going to be decent--my friend never steers me wrong. But this was colossally good. I had a delicious steak sandwich with crispy potatoes as my savory side. And nothing beats a cane sugar Coke. Like ever. The staff was fantastic, making the food quickly and with care. And we love a reataurant in a grocery--Acadia has a fine selection of other artisinal foods and products to make your next meal a success as well. The vibe was chill, and the food blew me away. An absolute new favorite, and I can't wait to return!

I didn't know what to expect when I went inside, but it wasn't a grocery store and deli in addition to a mini cafe. Their cafe menu was pretty limited compared to a regular coffee shop's. The grocery store portion was unique and had some cute goods, but was definitely over-priced. I didn't have a chance to try the deli, but their tables were filled with people who had ordered from there. We were the only ones ordering coffee and it took about 10 mins for them to make it- start to finish. It was a cute place and unique, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the coffee, especially with the delay in time it took to make. Would love to try the deli sometime though.

This spot is such a pleasant surprise. a small neighborhood grocery store slash deli with way more to offer than you'd expect. They have a full coffee bar with all your favorites and serve fresh, made-to-order food. I stopped in during the morning and grabbed breakfast, and the sandwiches were made fresh and hit the spot. They also serve lunch (didn't get a chance to try it this time), plus they sell local produce, snacks, and even beer and wine. While you're waiting for your food, you can browse around, which honestly makes the wait fly by. There's seating if you want to eat there, or you can easily take it to go. It's a great spot for a small group, I'd say perfect for about 4-5 people. Bonus points for their own parking, which is always appreciated. Service was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they're doing. If you're looking for a low-key spot with great coffee, fresh food, and local charm, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Delish! Great coffee, incredible sandwiches, and cute market. Good informal brunch. Not the best service but to be expected somewhere like this! I'll be back!

Service is a bit rocky, be a bit more for the people. Food was good though. Although they need to communicate better because they told me they ran out of steak, then 3 people behind me, he got steak lol. Then they ran out of smoked sausage. All by 11am. Overall a relaxing atmosphere, good food, I would recommend. P.S. tables are really sticky...

Really enjoyed my first experience in Acadia. They have a co-op market in there that's fun to check out, but the prices are expensive. I got a cappuccino and the breakfast sandwiches with collards and the BEC. The sandwiches were decent, just wish they were on Kaiser rolls. Service was pretty quick and friendly enough. Plenty of room to sit inside or out on the patio with your food/beverage, and quiet enough to connect to wifi and get some work done.

Acadia foods has become a staple in my morning rotation. They have excellent biscuit sandwiches that are very affordable as well as a rotating case of pastries that always look amazing today. I couldn't resist because for the first time I saw a honey pie and it is every bit is delicious as what you can get over at Louie and honey I highly recommend trying out Acadia foods. They have excellent quality a really cute small store very inviting seating and very friendly staff.

    Turkey V, stone cold!

The sandwiches here are far and away the main attraction, for me anyway. Next on my bucket list was the Thanks V - sliced turkey breast, cranberry sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion, sprouts, and lettuce on multigrain bread. I called in the pickup order as I headed to the restaurant. The menu lists the Thanks V under Cold Sandwiches, and that is exactly what I received - at least 1day in the refrigerator cold! This sandwich was obviously not freshly made and was impossible for me to eat at that temperature, all I could taste was cold. I have never encountered this before! I simply threw the ice cold, $10 sandwich in the trash! Obviously there will be no reorder of this item, and whether there is a return visit is in doubt - we'll see!

On the rare occasion, you find a business that's totally unassuming and perfectly comfortable being exactly what they set out to be. In short, Business as Art. Welcome Friends, to Acadia Foods. I came in for breakfast, but more about that in a moment. The moment you walk in, there's a perfect comfort and ease about the space and the vibe. Casual, powerfully community focused, arty, funky, and down-to-earth cool. Acadia Foods is at the same time coffee shop, local eatery, co-op, provision shop, and wine bar. Their grocery selection is well curated and perfect for day-to-day provisioning with healthy, mostly-organic and local foods available. Apparently there is a co-op where members can sign up for member-select CDA boxes. And everyone is welcome to shop and buy whatever you need for your daily needs. The coffee bar is stocked with the usual bevvys, and the barista, Salem, was awesome, well informed (I had questions), and genuinely kind. And the cappy she whipped up was excellent. Oh...and they have ceramic mugs for "drink here" coffees. Kudos!! Now for the food...I ordered the ham & Brie breakfast sando. Absolutely...love at first bite!! Thin shaved succulent ham, melted Brie, a perfectly over medium runny-yoke friend egg, sautéed spinach, and a dash of Dijon on one of the best lightly charred, fluffy, chewy rolls I've had in a long time. Totally unexpected and completely delicious. This is my new perfect breakfast sando!! Add to all this, a very respectable selection of bottles of wine and chilled beer to-go, or they will chill and/or open bottles for a $9 corkage. And wines available by the glass. Acadia Food is a wonderful community market/deli/coffee shop/wine shop that excels at every turn. They truly have a sense of themselves and are unapologetically, beautiful who they are. I love being here and will absolutely be back again and again!! Cheers!

We've had Acadia on our radar for a couple of months and finally stopped in this morning as we headed east out of town. The exterior of the building is a cool well loved brick building within the Washington historic neighborhood. We instantly thought it reminded us of South Eugene in Oregon. We were immediately greeted by two young men working at the counter. They were friendly and helpful and when we told them we hadn't been in before they were quick to suggest their favorite menu items. We wanted to look over the menu so we took them to a table and looked it over. My wife decided on the BAT (Bacon, Arugula and Tomato) sandwich with a side of fresh fruit. I chose the Smoked Sausage sandwich with a bag of chips. We placed our order back at the counter and then decided to walk through the market area while our sandwiches were prepared. Acadia offers everything from fresh produce, to beer and wine and many other local treats over approximately 3 aisles. The prices are reasonable for a small neighborhood store and we were impressed with the local selections. Our sandwiches arrived in a timely manner and looked yummy. My wife thought the BAT sandwich was delicious and the fresh fruit hit the spot. I enjoyed my smoked sausage sandwich but did think it lacked flavor. Overall it was good and we are glad we stopped.
