I was thinking a hot dog and after looking at the menu know that would have to be it. Their hot dogs were very different from anything I had seen before. I went with the On the Border Dog since it was at the top of the list and seemed the most original. The On the Border Dog comes with Mexican Street Corn, Chorizo, cheese, cilantro, and Chipotle Mayo. How could I say no to that. For my side I had to go premium and went with the Chili Cheese Fries because when times get tough carbs are you friends. This dog was HUUGGEE and so filling. Everything on it really complemented each other. Who knew corn on a hot dog could be so good. I will say it does help that I'm a huge fan Mexican Street Corn as well. The Chili Cheese Fries came as a huge serving as well. Plenty for 2 to split. They could have used a little bit more toppings on them in my opinion since I did get a hand full of fries that didn't get any toppings, and I will admit I am a monster in that way. (Bury my fries). But hey very good food truck and would 100% come back. They really do offer something different that really works.

The steak was so tender and the sandwich had so much flavor. While I only finished half of my sandwich because it was so much food, I somehow found it in myself to eat all my fries haha. I usually go with a Datil Dog (that spicy datil mustard is a must!) or Spicy Dog paired with a Chicago Dog, and it's never let me down. And whatever you do, don't skip the hand-cut fries. They're perfectly crisp, absolutely delicious, and you'll wish you'd ordered an extra serving because sharing won't be an option. Hazel's is one of St. Augustine's best-kept culinary gems, especially considering how few truly great hot dog stands there are in Northeast Florida.
