Whenever we go to St. Augustine, this is the perfect spot for us--my husband loves their burgers, and I'm a big fan of the shrimp salad, so everyone leaves happy! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. If you have a dog, there's a nice outdoor patio where pets are welcome, and we've never had issues with flies while eating outside. It's within walking distance of downtown, but just far enough off the main tourist streets that it doesn't feel overly crowded or noisy. There's also parking right in front of the restaurant, which is a huge plus. And if you're visiting the Lightner Museum, it's just a short walk away! Highly recommended. read more

I ordered the fish burger and it honestly surprised me in the best way it was way better than I expected. My partner went with the regular burger and loved it too. I also have to mention the banana pudding because it was AMAZING. Easily the best I've had so far, and I'm not even exaggerating. The service really stood out as well. Our waitress went above and beyond to help me figure out what the veggie burger was made of and even looked into the company that makes it since I'm picky about veggie burgers. A great deal if I may say so myself. We also ordered a side of fries. My kids ordered a burger and chicken tenders and my wife ordered a turkey burger. Everyone loved their food and we did not walk away hungry. We went during their first anniversary with new management and they were offering $1.23 scoops of ice cream. We decided to pass on that because we had just gone on the chocolate factory tour. However, this place really is one of the better burger/wings places that we have eaten at. My friend and I tried to eat at another local spot but the wait was too long and we would not have made our improv show. So my friend hopped on Yelp and found One Twenty Three Burger House close by and the reviews were good. Bonus, the restaurant had a parting lot which is hard to come by in St Augustine. I ordered The Cali burger with bison. Bison was an upgrade option for any burger and it has less fat content than beef. The Cali was served with Swiss cheese, jalapeño infused bacon, avocado, tomato and red onion. The burger was fabulous! It was huge, flavorful and all the ingrediants fit perfectly together! Everything was delicious; especially the garlic knots! They were HUGE and loaded with garlic butter. Yummmmm! The pizza was good with a crispy crust, but soggy middle. We had a great experience at this eatery in Saint Augustine recently. The service atmosphere was truly awesome, all associate, smiling, and tending to their customer needs. Last minute stop for a late dinner. Very friendly restaurant on the way into historic downtown. The place was packed which was a good sign. They let us in at 8:58pm. We ordered quickly. First: I paid extra to upgrade to a 1/2lbs from a 1/3lbs. When the burgers arrived, my patty was noticeably smaller than both my wife and daughter's burger. I asked the server about it and she just told me that it was a 1/2. In an effort to not make a big deal about it, my daughter jumped right in and offered to switch patties with me since she wasn't that hungry. It was immediately obvious that I had a smaller patty since the new one filled the croissant. Second: I asked to substitute the burger buns for the croissant buns they have on a different burger. I was surprised to see the bill showing a $2.50 up charge despite the burgers costing around the same amount and buns being needed anyway + no mention of any up-charge! Third: Our party included two adults + three children + a toddler + an infant. Somehow that warranted an automatic gratuity. We're normally generous tippers but it didn't feel right to have an amount pushed on us without disclosure. We would have tipped anyway despite the servers obvious fake smile and negative demeanor but this just added to the overall poor experience. Our family has no issue paying 25%, or more if service is exceptional, on $600 bills (often at steak houses more-so than regular restaurants) but I walked away feeling cheated here. read more

My first visit here was a success. We arrived around 1 o'clock in the afternoon on a Friday. The restaurant was quiet inside and out. We were able to seat ourselves. The patio had several fans going so even though it was a hot day it was nice to sit outside. The service was excellent. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich with the gluten-free bun and fries (which were also gluten free). The bun looked fresh. I ordered the Farm Joe with jalapeño bacon and pepper jack cheese and a side of tater tot's. The jalapeño bacon didn't have a big kick and the fried egg that the burger came with was overcooked. The tater tots were cooked in seed oils so yes that's something that is important to you, stay away from those, but besides that they were very crispy and well seasoned.
