The food was decent, especially the malai boti wrap and the garlic chicken wrap. The chicken sandwich was greasy and underwhelming, and the gappa chaat, while big, lacked much flavor. The falooda was the worst - it was just ice cream, milk, and a sparse amount of basil seed. The price point, including the sneaky service charge, does not justify a return trip.

On street or back of building parking and an unassuming entrance leed to an eclectic, pleasant, surprisingly spacious interior and distinctive dining experience. This is Pakistani with blends of spices, textures, and tastes very different from most Americanized fares. If you don't like Indian cuisine ( the nearest similar styles that are around central Ohio) or aren't adventurous you probably won't enjoy this experience. You order at the counter and they bring your food and drink to your table as it's ready. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. However, English is a second language and even the music will remind you you're experiencing a different culture. Many diners had children with them. However, if your children aren't culturally adjusted, or politely adventurous this probably isn't the place for them. We enjoyed the food and experience and both agreed we could return.

Everything was delicious! Well worth it! 10/10. Staff were friendly and helpful! We absolutely loved it and will be back!

Pros: Gappa chaat was huge and delicious. Loved the chutney topping and the crispy cracker exterior. Mango lassi is still a winner. Plenty of seating and very clean. Nice location in the heart of the Clintonville action. Free parking lot behind the restaurant. Cons: Service was efficient but not very friendly. Music was so loud, that I had trouble hearing my friend talking. Menu has recently been scaled back and options are limited.

Love love love Food Street! Always have ordered online/delivery, but we finally made into the brick and mortar. We went on a Monday evening, so the wait was short and there was plenty of seating available to us. The ambiance was great for a group of 4. We ordered several items, but the ones I had this time were the Malai chicken paratha, beef chapli paratha, and the mushroom Swiss burger, and of course the gappa chaat as an appetizer. I also got the mango lassi which isn't pictured. The gappa chaat was fantastic- I would have eaten the whole thing without hesitation if we weren't intending to share it! The flavors of the sauces blend beautifully with the mixture. The mushrooms burgers was also wonderful, no notes on making it a better burger!!! For the parathas, I prefer the malai chicken to the beef chapli, but they're both so flavorful and high quality. The only thing that could be improved (on a VERY personal level) is the spice/heat level - they are a touch spicier than I prefer, but they flavors are so delicious that I can overcome. For people who love spice though, it's probably perfect! Overall, food street is definitely a place we will keep going and ordering from!

A great restaurant in Clintonville featuring delicious food and neat decor! We ordered online in advance for takeout, and everything came out hot and fresh, well packaged for travel. We tried the Jalapeno Beef Burger (also came with cheese and grilled onions), french fries, the Gol Gappay, and paratha. Everything was really delicious and flavorful. The only con was that the onions on the burger were a little stringy, and we ended up just pulling them off. We definitely plan to stop by again.

I would not recommend going out of your way to come here. But if you are in the neighborhood and wanting something different, fast casual and reasonably priced (considering the times) this would fit the bill. The food is good enough, something different from the usual burgers and chicken offerings. Had the lentil burger with fried egg. Yes it had some heat, but the kind that was hot, not spicy. IMHO. Was good enough, but in no rush to come back. Service is friendly. Beware of the automatic 15% upcharge for persons of 4 or more.

Had a craving so had to come in - it was every bit as good as my first visit. Note: it takes a little bit to have made because it's all fresh (and worth it!) The space is clean and inviting. Music is a little loud but not enough to be annoying or anything. Young people working seem friendly enough. Honestly, I can't fault it. This time we got a Malai boti paratha wrap (I hope I spelled that correctly) and chicken garlic wrap with fries. Everything was hot, flavorful, and delicious. The sauces! Oh man the sauces are all so good. Couldn't finish my food so I have a snack for later!

I'm just going to say it now. Food street has the best chicken sandwich in the city. Halal is the way to go as far as chicken is concerned. It tastes fresher than what is sold at the grocery store. I also got the chicken tikka paratha roll. It's a house made flat bread with marinated chicken inside. The chicken is made perfectly with a lil spice. Even the fries really good as well. The wife and I have been twice and have been treated great both times. Food Street is FIRE go see for yourself.

What a cool restaurant and place! There's street parking and some parking available in their back lot. This location gets a lot of traffic, especially with other businesses and stores. The restaurant is a bit small and on their busy nights, it's full and packed. The room can get loud with the amount of people and their open kitchen. It's lively, colorful, and decorated so cozy. We tried a couple rolls, their Gol Gappy, Gappa Chaat, Mango Lassi, and a couple of their mojitos. Everything we ate was made well, flavored and seasoned well, and was delicious! My favorite was their Beef Chapli and Chicken Tikka Paratha rolls. The meat was flavorful, the sauces were great, and overall incredible. I will say everything is slightly more expensive than I expected but I think each item was made very well for the price. Staff was very nice, very accommodating, and service was great. Everyone was so helpful and patient. I would recommend for some great food and a good experience! Good for small groups, a casual date, a good meal. I would recommend!

My friend and I came here a couple weeks ago to see what the hype was about. It was busy on a Thursday evening! But there were still tables open. The tables were veryyyyy close together. Your seat will basically touch the back of someone else's. It's hard to get in and out of your chair without disturbing people sitting behind you. I did like the vibe in here. Great decor. And friendly service. The guy at the counter recommended the beef chapli since it was spicy. We also shared gol gappay. And I ordered the mango mojito to balance the saltiness. My friend got a couple things for us from the dessert section: falooda and kulfi. The food was filling! The beef chapli paratha roll looked small but it was packed with beef. I was getting stuffed after eating it with the gol gappay. The desserts were good. I know they're Pakistani but I thought the falooda at Cha Sha had better presentation. Not a bad thing. They both still tasted good. But one definitely had the more visually pleasing edge. Overall, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Staff were really nice. Helpful with the menu and cleaning tables quickly. I would come back to try other things on the menu. Parking is parallel around here. My friend got lucky and found a spot almost in front of it while I had parked on a side street around the corner.

I loved it here!!! Staff was so friendly and the place is so so cute. Great for a casual sit down vibe, very fast service too. Gol Gappay which was basically pani puri is a MUST! So delicious, I could have had them all to myself. I got the chicken garlic mayo roll and really liked it, but in the future I would get a roll that comes with the chutneys because they were delicious. Can't wait to come back! :)

Great food and nice atmosphere! My wife and I got the crispy chicken sandwich, classic burger and fries. We split everything and we were so glad we did. The sandwiches had a really tasty sauce and the fried were cooked to perfection! I asked for their special sauce for their fries so we didn't have basic ketchup to dip our fries in and that was also a great decision. The service was friendly and the decor was very nice. We are so glad we found this place and would come back if we're in the area again.

He promised that the food would be delicious and in describing each item, he set the bar quite high for me! Driving home was torture as the aromas of the food were so tempting. But then when we finally dug into the meal, we were blown away. Everything we ordered was great; the palak paneer, the Pakistani whole chicken (great deal and takes 45 minutes to make), the baba ghanoush. I would highlight the daal lentil which was freshly made and a bit spicy and full of flavor which we loved. The naan is generous in serving and airy. And for me the best thing was the lamb tagine. I had an awesome tagine years ago in France at a Moroccan restaurant that was so tender, the meat just melted in my mouth. This dish came close to that memory, with a generous serving of dates covered in sesame, complementing the flavor of the lamb. It will be hard for me not to get this dish every time. I cannot recommend this restaurant more. This has been one of the best meals I've had here in Columbus in the last few months. Between the friendly staff and the excellent food, it is definitely worth a try.

The main Tandoori Grill location is up on Bethel Rd. This Pakistani restaurant is one of my favorites in town. So I was excited to hear that they were opening a pop-up location downtown on Capitol Square. And more than a little confused. Their announcement made it sound like they were opening in a convenice store. That couldn't be right. Could it? Yep. It is. When you walk in, they have a couple of chafing trays set up with the day's offerings. According to the friendly folks working at the store, some of the menu will vary from day to day while other dishes will be offered regularly. When I was there they had chicken tikka masala, chickpeas, grilled chicken, and ground chicken that was formed into long patties and then grilled. They're served with/over rice. Also on the menu were chicken samosa and salad. The chicken tikka masala and samosas were both delicious. I didn't give the final fifth star however because they weren't as good as when you get them from the full restaurant on Bethel. Which makes sense in light of the fact that they were cooked earlier in the day and being kept warm. So in summary, a great downtown lunch time addition. And if you do like it, visit the full service location. It's even better.

I went as soon as I could, and honestly, so should you! If you love Tandoori Grill on Bethel or haven't been there because it's too far away, this is the perfect opportunity to try its food during the lunch hour. Ideally, this would be a 3.5 star review, but I'm rounding it up because of the convenience factor. During my visit, I tried the samosa, chickpea curry, rice, and chicken seekh kebab. The seekh kebab was the star; perfectly spiced and amazingly tender. I've had so many disappointingly dry seekh kebabs, but this was was pure perfection. Next time, I'm just getting this with rice. The chickpeas and rice were good too. Loved the samosa, though it could be a tad less oily. But, heck, I chose to have fried food. My meal also came with a side salad with an Italian vinaigrette (odd choice). The salad is typically also served in the brick and mortar location and serves as a nice palate cleanser there. But since the operation in the convenience store is takeout only, getting a dressed salad, which is limp by the time I eat it, doesn't quite make sense to me. My meal cost $12, and I would've gladly paid a little less to forego the salad. Overall, a nice addition to the downtown lunch scene, which sadly lacks good Indian food. (Don't get me started on Indian Oven. Just no.) DISCLAIMER: copied over from my initial review for G&Z stores; this business was not yet added.
