Cozy restaurant in an Indian strip mall. Sever was a young female that was very nice. She appeared to be the only one waiting tables so she was stretched a little thin. I would give this place a strong 3.5 stars. The spring rolls were extremely small and the wrap was complete mush on the inside. They had strong potential because the sauce drizzled on the outside was delicious. The butter Chicken was good but I wanted it a bit more spicy. The chai tea did not have much flavor and a milk film on top where it was heated in a microwave. I would def try another dish sometime and maybe update this review.

This is a good restaurant, perfect? No, but I challenge you to name me one perfect restaurant. They need to work hard in service, I don't know why (maybe is a cultural thing) but at least pretend you want to serve my food and please check on your clients every now and then. Now the food is the complete opposite, is so good that I can't wait to go again. The pork sekuwa was so flavorful that I'm drooling just thinking about it. If you are around Reynoldsburg and thinking of trying something different come here. You won't regret it.

    Chicken Curry, partially eaten lol!

Visiting here in a Ohio for work and came across this place on google for food options in my area! Me and my boyfriend love us some Indian food so we decided to give it try because of their 4.5 star rating! Let me start off with the food. The food is PHENOMENAL! For our starter we ordered the Chicken Chili Momo, Medium spice! It was so freakin good! Great savory flavor and good spice! It was a little spicier than most "medium" sauces so if you like spicy but enjoyable still, I wouldn't go past medium on them! For our entrees I got the Chicken Curry and my boyfriend got the Butter Chicken! Both very good in flavor and the meats are tender! Butter chicken is perfect if you want a creamy and a slight sweet and savory combo! And the Chicken Curry is perfect if you want a more savory, peppery combo! We paired our entrees with an order of the Cheese Naan and Onion Kulcha, both excellent and soft! Now the service is the reason why it's not a full 5 star rating! The service is very slow! When we walked in it was just us and two other tables, there was a lady at the bar area I guess doing something but we stood there for 5 minutes waiting to be sat. When we got sat and got served water, we didn't see our waitress again for about 15 minutes. She took our order, brought out the food within like 5-7 minutes and then we didn't see her again until we were done and she brought us the check. So with that being said if you're looking for a quick lunch I wouldn't recommend lol! But with all that said I WOULD come again! The food makes up for the lack of service and the ambiance of the place is clean and homey!

Absolutely amazing food, they have wonderful bar inside. Definitely a top 10 in Columbus for me. Just look at the food.

Almost literally a hole in the wall with Indian food. Durbar is one of the newer places around here. It has authentic tasting Indian cuisine that's mostly takeout. Can also dine inside but it's very limited. The prices are good and not sky high like many other Indian places. Hard to find. It doesn't look like much from the outside. This is located in a strip mall on the far east side of town. Also it doesn't look like much on the inside. Barely enough room for the host stand and ordering. Amazingly it seems to have a dining room I didn't know about. The food is very authentic tasting. I had the Gobi Manchurian to go. It's about $12 for a pretty big portion. This is cauliflower cooked with chili seasoning and garlic and has a meaty texture. It comes served with rice. This was a filling meal and is a very good protein substitute. It has other things I want to try the next time here. Lots of good vegetarian options. They have a dining room if you don't want to get takeout.

Wonderful Indian. Not as good as my favorite, Aab in Grandview, but a great local substitute. Dining in is by no means a luxury experience. Over all this place gets a classic thumbs up. The waitress was named Sebbie, friendly and a good person, you could just tell.

Paneer Pakora Appetizer With Tamarind And Green Chutney. (~$9)

Durbar has zero curb appeal but then again, there is a small but nice dining room in the very back of the building. For those who like discovering hole in the wall types of places, read on. Service was slow paced and politely friendly in that typically Indian style that they have. There are plenty of familiar Northern Indian dishes available along with a small selection of Himalayan, Nepali and Indo-Chinese options too. Prices and portions are pretty standard for an Indian place. I chose the Paneer Pakora appetizer (~$9) and the Chicken Momos (~$10) for my lunch. As is Indian-typical, they offer a complimentary basket of thin and crispy Papadum and a little side of a mild sweet sauce. It's a nice little starter while they get your meal ready. Next up was that Paneer Pakora appetizer which is breaded cheese cubes that are served on a bed of red onion, shredded cabbage and cilantro and comes with two dipping sauces: green chutney and tamarind sauce. For the newbies, think deep fried cheese curds. Like I mentioned before, I opted for the Chicken Momos which are basically gyozas or "potstickers", for my main meal. They come out steamed, tender and and well seasoned. My guess was that they were house-made, don't quote me on that thought. The presentation is a lot nicer than what I expected as they were served with red onion, red pepper, shredded cabbage, sliced carrot and cilantro along with a ramekin of savory chili sauce on the side. It was a good first visit and so I'll give them 4 stars.

It's tough to judge any restaurant right now. Service was very slow. The bread basket was amazing. The variety, the textures the flavors and the chutney all sang together. The appetizer plater was on the other end of the spectrum. French fries? A single samosa, fried wedges of Indian style cheese and unusual crispy onion blobs. The momo was plain. Delicious dumplings but need to be clearer that this dish is just dumplings with no sauce, side dishes or rice.

I had dinner with my friend for the first time in this restaurant and I can say we both really enjoyed the food, service was great and ambience was great as well.

Vibes: Durbar is a cute and hip Indian/Nepalese restaurant with a full bar. It definitely is a hole in the wall find because it sits in a little unassuming plaza on East Main Street in Reynoldsburg, next to a small Nepalese grocery store and local pharmacy. Food: Their Marsala chai, mango lassi and old fashioned were delicious. I personally liked the chai way more, wish I could've had a bigger cup of it. Their garlic naan and basmati rice were perfect vehicles for the lamb curry that was tender and mild. The star of the show was the Chef Special Thali--it had an assortment of curry, a veggie saag, lentil soup, chicken tandoori and a couple of desserts. I think it's the perfect dish if you want to try a variety of different Indian/Nepalese dishes. My favorite is definitely their chicken curry. It was so tender, a little tangy and perfectly spiced. FYI, they have a spice range from 1-10 and I think 5 was pretty mild. I got level 7 for my special Thali and there's a slight kick (I do handle my spice better than a lot of people though) Parking: there's ample space on their parking lot. Can get crowded depending on day and time. Service: There was only one girl running tables when we went on a weekday. She was super friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend making a trip to Durbar whenever you get a craving for Indian food or want to try out Nepalese food! You won't regret it.

    Nepali chicken momo

What a fantastic little find. The Nepali momos were the first restaurant momos I enjoyed, prepared and cook to perfection. I only had the Nepali dishes and they were outstanding. I am definitely coming back on my next trip and you should too.

Okay. So listen. This spot is kinda a bit deal. Another Yelper called it a hole in the wall and that's so accurate. In the last 10 days I've ordered food here three times. I'm kinda obsessed by it. I never knew that Nepali food would speak so heavily to my New Mexican roots. The bhatura is just like our sopapillas. So delicious! I've had the chili mono twice and the spices are just amazing. I do think they may be using red dye though because both times I felt a bit sick afterwards and I'm allergic to dyes. If you're reading this and thinking okay dumb dumb why'd you try it again if it made you sick - well first it's 2020 so don't judge me and secondly because I didn't realize it was the chili momo that could've made it sick and it's honestly an outstanding dish. Next up I had the Pork Thali and it's a great selection to try several menu items at once. The chicken cholla is absolutely ridiculous on flavor but I didn't feel for $10 the portion was super duper tiny. The chicken pakora was delicious! Good to share and the dips was nice as well. Next up the vegetable samosa. INCREDIBLE. Like what are y'all doing because these are the best samosas of my entire life. In short this food is the absolute biznazzzz. I have been doordashing my life away.

Mustard greens?? Def not saag paneer!

I had. Lamb Jhapali Thali : Rice in the middle with a crispy thin type of bread similar to a tortilla. a spicy sauce, gulab jamun ( round heavy cake like with a honey sauce), yogurt, lentil soup, lamb , spinach and a cauliflower vegetable with spices. My wife had butter chicken. We both had garlic naan and pea and potato Samosas. We will definitely go back with friends showing them this restaurant.

The decor is pretty simplistic, although the furniture is beautiful. It looks pretty dark outside, and the neon "open" sign is the only indication that they're open. We were seated quickly, as it was empty when we arrived, although two more couples showed up after us. We ordered our favorites, chicken tikka masala for me, palak (saag) paneer for him. As an appetizer, we had puri with a vegetable curry that was AMAZING. I wish we'd ordered more of that, because the rest of our food was a bit underwhelming. Well, he enjoyed his saag paneer, even though it was made differently than he was used to. My chicken tikka masala was VERY buttery, which was very odd for me, and not what I'm used to. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't. The Service was okay, but when we got the check, the prices were ALL different than what was listed on the menus that were handed to us. When we pointed out the discrepancy, all we got was "well, the prices are correct in our computer, would you like to see?" No, but you should PRINT NEW MENUS WITH UPDATED PRICING, instead of gaslighting your customers for a problem that you created and refuse to properly fix. Ridiculous. Eat somewhere else, ideally at a place with the CORRECT prices listed on the menu.
