Chicken tikka masala & mushroom saag: both dishes were packed with flavor and were absolutely delicious! I've had tikka masala before but this was the first time trying saag. I loved both! The onion naan was some of the best naan I've ever had. It was extremely soft and tasted very fresh. It even heated up very well the following day. My dine-in experience is more middling: servers are friendly, but the service is often very slow (even when the restaurant is pretty empty). The food is some of the best Indian cuisine I've tried recently in Columbus. The servers are excellent--very polite and attentive, always checking in to make sure we're having a good time. They also do a great job keeping water glasses filled and making sure the drinks and food taste great. The only downside is the restaurant layout. A small change could really improve the flow and make it feel cozier, especially since guests with reservations sometimes end up waiting near the entrance and blocking the way for customers who are leaving. A friend and I visited on a Friday night. The restaurant was crowded but we didn't have to wait. The service was inconsistent, but okay. They have such a variety of cocktails so I would love to come back for happy hour. I enjoyed my Indian Summer cocktail as it was refreshing. The bread/naan was a $2 charge but worth it as you can't go wrong with naan. I ordered the Dinner Special which was a generous amount of food for $22. It was a little taste of everything and included an appetizer and dessert. I got spice level 4 out of 5 but probably could've gone 5 as I like to sniffle a little bit when I eat my Indian food. Date night! Post-movie dinner at Khaab Indian Kitchen & Bar in Bexley. It was our first time here and we found the restaurant quite bustling and the decor modern, but comfortable. My only complaint is that lighting was really dim,, particularly in the corner, where we sat. The service was very attentive despite how busy they were. We ordered more food than we knew we could eat, but decided to try a couple of different entrees, which looked similar but tasted very different. I ordered the Punjabi lamb and Dan got the chicken Rogan Josh. Both were very good- saucy and the regular heat level was fine for our palates, however there is milder and hotter. We shared the chef's special stuffed naan (which was our favorite) and paneer pakora with dipping sauces. It was a very filling dinner but hit the spot on a cold, dreary night. I placed a carry out order of Saag Paneer and veg samosas. I went inside and saw that they had a small buffet in addition to a menu to order from. I was a little confused when I walked to the bar because no one helped me. I waited for at least 10 minutes and a lady finally came out to clear dishes from someone that just left. If I had not asked her if she could help me I would still be standing there. She did apologize and helped me and I appreciated that. My food was amazing and I would definitely recommend it. The place was not full of people but it did have a few people there. The inside was kind of dark but cozy so you could go for a casual meal or a group meal. Indian food is a favorite of mine and I love trying out new Indian restaurants when I travel and when I'm craving a nice cozy meal at home. Locally I'm a big fan of Aab and Haveli Bistro and from what I hear, this actually used to be an Aab but they changed ownership recently. I was up to giving them a try and lucky for me (and you) they offer delivery directly from their Yelp page, easy peasy. My food arrived piping hot which tells me that they took the time to really wrap it all up nicely. I ordered the garlic naan and navratan korma and both were incredible. The naan was soft and pillowy but at the same time sturdy enough to handle the weight of the veggies in my korma dish. For those that don't know, navratan korma is a mixture of vegetables tossed in a creamy sauce with raisins and cashews. It's my all time favorite Indian dish and goodness did they do it right! I was really caught off guard by how tasty it was. I'll definitely add Khaab to my small list of go-to Indian restaurants around the 614. Give it a try! read more

Very straightforward, From decor to the food selections, this is the best I've had since moving to Columbus in 2020. I stopped while working for the buffet and glad I Yelped! It was an enjoyable experience, and a very good buffet. Pretty nice inside. Smallish, but comfy. Service was great though they seemed understaffed. It's a little more expensive than other Indian buffets, but also a step or so above them in quality. An assortment of the usual suspects, all done very well. Khaab is an Indian restaurant out in Bexley area and while a bit more of a drive for me, I decided to give it a try. I came out here for their weekend buffet, cause I love me an Indian buffet because variety. We were sat quickly and the waitress did end up leaving us without checking if we were doing the buffet or ordering off the menu. Luckily, another team member came to check on us and let us know you can just go up and grab food. The food here was great, food was replenished often and was super flavorful. I have now found my favorite Indian bread in the form of bhatura and do not understand how I went through this many years without discovering it. Its a wonderfully airy, crisp, fluffy bread that goes perfectly with the various curries and sides. I ate waaay too many bhatura but have no regrets. I have raved about other Indian buffets in the Columbus area before but I think Khaab has now taken my number one spot. Amazing the food and service, we a party of 6 arrived at 7:30 PM on a Sunday without a reservation, but we're able to be seated on the patio which was very nice as it was a bit noisy inside to have a conversation with a larger group. we all ordered different dishes and they were all very yummy and even better as leftovers on Monday evening! This restaurant is in Bexley with parking in the back. The lighting inside was dim and it was clean. I went with my mom for restaurant week and we each picked an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I got a fried paneer appetizer and it was okay. I attempted trying something new but didn't love it. I also tried to steer away from chicken tikka masala because I always get it so I got a lamb dish with rice and it was good. I probably wouldn't get it again. First time eating Khaab. Craved Indian food tonight so I ordered DoorDash. I can't speak to the restaurant since I ordered delivery. I can only speak to the food. I ordered: Garlic Nan - this was a very dry bread unlike what I like from other great places here in Columbus. This was way to dry and more like a cracker by the time it arrived to me. Saag Paneer - this was delicious! Thanks to this I was able to actually eat the nan. I love dipping into this dish. Chicken Tikka Masala - this was my least favorite dish. I love Tikka Masala but this sauce was very different. It was very light in color and low on taste. I've never had bland Indian food before. It was the rich orange color I've come to expect for this dish. The chicken was also more shredded rather than cubed or cut up chicken. This gave an odd texture to the dish that I really didn't like. I would not order this again. Mixed Vegetables in a curry sauce - I added this at the last minute to give something new a try. I'm glad I did because this was very flavorful and tasty! Overall the food was okay, but to be honest there are so many great places to get good Indian food, I'm not sure this would make it into my list. When I read the other reviews it makes me wonder if the actual dine-in experience may be a better way to go. You'll have to check that out for yourself. This restaurant took over the space that Aab had in Bexley. It looks the same but the food was not as good as Aabs. We had a combo appetizer which was very tasty and had 3 dipping sauces. But our main courses were disappointing. The lamb was mushy and the flavor was off. The chicken was good-my daughter really liked it. The garlic naan was dry and needed more garlic. We have been here a small handful of times and everything, we've ordered something new and different - from Vindalu to Curry, to Tikka yo whatever else, our dishes gave been ample for the price and we've always eaten this voraciously. Today, we ordered Goat curry and Malai Tikka. . The order arrived slowly (about 20 minutes), but the waiter filled our table with Basmati Rice Toureens, a Basket of Fresh Naan, our Sampler Plate, Lentil Soup, Heat Curry, and an Entree Dish of Matai Tikka. . First Things First. Sampler. The Appetizer Plate includes Chicken & Paneer Pakuras, a trio of bite-sized "fritters", and a half moon of Roti. The three-part dipping sauces were seen, savory, and dpicy - a good mix gor a variety of tastes. . We both bug into The Malai Tikka as soon as it arrived, laying it on a soft bed of Basmati Rice. The Chicken was soft and pulverized, lightly charred like a well- cooked Fajitas meat - however, carrots and cauliflower take the place of peppers. We added a drizzling of Goat curry - pure perfection. . My wife's dish, the aforementioned Goat Curry inluded a broth anchored by a half-dozen Goat necklines. That mix of narrow, fat, and render Goat meat was softer than any shaved meat you'd find in a Greek Gyro. . When we finished, my wife ordered 2 more servings of rice and another Goat Curry. Thus came in addition to a large leftover serving if the Tikka and 4 pieces of Naan (roasted flatbread). . Our entire meal came to $75, enough for 4 gut-busting servings. . Khaab has replaced Aab Indian. Friends and I stopped by after Bexley's Porch Fest on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately there was a sign on the door explaining they were short-staffed that evening and were only offering take-out that nite. This restaurant space has a great front patio area with shaded comfy seating, perfect for relaxing. It was very nice of the husband and wife owners running the show to let us take our to-go food to their patio and sit and eat there. I tried the Malai Tikka, and it was quite good. The chunks of chicken were very tender and juicy. I would love a little more cardamom/ginger/garlic flavor, as it was very pronounced, but it was still great. The onions, carrots and broccoli were a great touch.the dish comes with a bowl of Khaab's lentil soup. It was heavily spiced on the awesome-side! I did get an order of garlic naan (does not come with the entree), and that left me underwhelmed. Imo, it needs way, way more garlic. However, in Khaab's defense, to each Indian restaurant's own - they all make their dishes with their own touch, and perhaps Khaab's naan is meant to not be as heavy garlic as others. Hot and soft, this one "negative" is not really a negative, as I'll likely continue to get it - Indian food without naan is like peanut butter with no jelly. Both the inside and patio spaces were well-kept and clean. Service was accommodating, efficient, and very friendly. Our food came out nicely packaged with paper plates and plastic ware included, a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely be back to Khaab, seeing as work is a five minute walk away. My favorite meal is chicken tikka masala. Instead of large chunks of dried out chicken, Khaab shreds their chicken which helps absorb all of the wonderful Indian spices in the chicken!
