Worst Customer Service Ever! Unfortunately, I had to do my grocery shopping while carrying my 30lb one year old daughter. I quickly grabbed a few items that I needed and proceeded to the register. I struggled a bit getting things out of my cart and on to the counter. I was doing everything with just one hand. The clerk stared at me while I struggled. I asked to purchase two bags for my items. Rather than hand them to me the clerk threw them on top of my groceries. I again struggled to get all my items into the bags. Not ONCE did she offer to help or ask if I needed assistance. Went in on Saturday and my cashier (jennifer.o) asked me to separate my wic stuff accordingly to coupon. Ive never been asked by any other cashier and I frequent this store regularly. And other grocery store has never asked me to do it. Was a little rude about it as well. Cashier is getting paid to do her job why do i need to separate my groceries. Place was clean. Meat department was great. But the last person I saw at the market Samantha G. was as cold as a person can get. I asked her would specific meat fit in the plastic bags they sell. It was like I was bothering her to ask. There where no people behind me. I had a lot of stuff. And she could not give that extra service of helping instead of just standing there. I was at a different market earlier and the exact offices. Fantastic service employees cared even gave me a recommendation of how to cook something. Leaving this meat cart out over 45 minutes and unrefrigerated. I never buy meat here and this is one reason why. No wonder people get sick. I haven't been back ever since. I've seen food out on pallets just sitting there, blocking aisles. This place is a zoo, people allow their kids to demolish the place. Lines forever down the aisles. This market chain is definitely not my favorite but it does have a few high points. The cashiers are really friendly and helpful most of the time and their produce is cheap! The quality of their produce seriously rivals the high end markets. Best of all, its within walking distance! read more

The food really is cheaper here. There are certain products I get from here all the time. The produce, sour cream, food containers, southern style hash browns, and liquor. It's funny because you will see that the alcohol they sell here is way cheaper than in other grocery stores. If you go late on a weekend you see a lot of people buying their drinks for their parties. Consistently has the same bottles of liquor 3-4 dollars lower than Ralph's, their sister store. They have all the same brands as Ralph's with the cheaper price tag. Yeah the clientele is a bit ghetto or paisa but its all good when you pay. read more

Went to the market today just for a quick few things and I get in line to pay and I'm helped out by a cashier named Michelle. I must say usually she's pretty good but today was so ridiculous on how I was treated. She threw my items,squashed my hot dog buns, didn't greet me, never said thank you, and when I was going to pay, said " yea do whatever you have to do" with a really nasty attitude! Usually I'm not one to write a negative review but this is the second time I've came to this market in a row and have had horrible customer service! Last time was helped by a cashier named Samantha and she was super rude! Yelling at a customer that was in front of us and then carried her attitude with my mom and I. I love Food 4 Less. LOVE. Now, not all F4L's are created equally - some are great and some are ghetto. This one is GREAT. Clean, organized, well stocked, great service, great selection. I normally shop the F4L in Santa Fe Springs since I try my best to stay the hell out of the Norwalk location (ghetto, dirty, unorganized, low inventory, you name it - its all bad there). I ended up here because I had just tried the Superior across the street and since most of my staples were more expensive at Superior, I made my way home - where I KNOW the prices are lower. This place is actually nicer than the SFS location, by a hair. I got what I needed and the low prices I've come to expect from F4L and was a happy, happy gal. I will be back FO SHO! read more

Food 4 Less is by far my favorite grocery store down here. There is always a great selection at affordable prices and the lines are never too long. I can get SO much more for my money here than anywhere else I have been to. The meats are really good and so are the fruits. The veggies are so-so, but I'm really picky with my produce. read more

I come to this location out of convenience because it is close by from where I live. On average, my shopping experience here is good. My last visit on Tuesday 5/22 was substandard. Colleen, the young and rude cashier that was suppose to attend to us did not. She never greeted us, asked us if we needed bags, or if we found everything okay. Instead, she was gossiping with the cashier and another customer across us about an incident in the store's women's restroom involving a crackhead woman. Now, I could not care less what or who you talk about as long as it is not on the clock. I had to request to purchase some bags and Colleen got them, threw them at me, gave me an annoyed look perhaps because I interrupted her conversation, and then quickly returned to the crackhead woman incident conversation. Management, please train your staff on how to better conduct themselves while on the clock. Colleen provided poor customer service to us. There are many other options for grocery shopping, I don't mind driving a few extra miles if it means receiving better customer service. read more

I had never done a review for a grocery store, unless something is really wrong with it but, I believe this is discrimination against people who have a work permit, on Tuesday 8/11/2020 I was trying to purchase beer, but my ID was expired due to all this COVID-19. I haven't been able to renew my drivers license.The girl who helped me was very unprofessional, same as Erik who he called him self been the store mananger. For my understanding, a work permit it's a document that it's coming from the government, I did NoT purchase this Document or it's Fake. He claimed that the document that I was providing was not allowed, and he couldn't accept it. The document has a date of birth, expiration date and a picture on it. So how is that not allowed or why can it be accept it?. For my understanding if your able to provide two different ID you should be good. Maybe this need to go stay to court to see if this is discrimination against hard working people who have not said anything about this but had been through this. Very unprofessional workers. This has nothing to do with the store but with a man who is one of humankind's worst. I was waiting for my wife as she shops inside Food For Less on Whittier & Beverly when I saw this middle-aged man load his items into the trunk of his fairly-new Ford car. He then just left the shopping cart behind the back of the car next to his car. After he left, a pickup truck parked in the same spot but bumped the same cart into the car next to their slot. Neither one didn't even have the courtesy to park the cart to any of 3 spaces within 10 steps from them. What lowly idiots & doofuses do we have in this neighborhood. Just an unbelievable site! And I thought I've seen worse. Obviously, these people are not raised in this great country. I liked what one store did in Las Vegas. You have to deposit a quarter to use any of their carts. And when you're done, you can get your quarter back if you return the cart to any of the stalls around the parking lot. Otherwise, your quarter goes to support charitable causes. read more

I had an awful and horrible encounter with one of the cashiers named Judith M. This morning on 07/01/2016, at 11:46 a.m. I had brought my final selections to the checkout. My total came up to $4.98, and I had exactly $4 bills and 0.93 cents. Judith M. the cashier said to me "where's the rest of it"!? I looked up at her by surprised and I told her "I apologize, I do not have the extra 5 cents to give right now". Judith then said "Well I can't ring you up, what do you want me to take off because I'm not giving you no donations for 5 cents".. I said to her "Excuse me"!? Judith then says "You heard me, maybe if you got a job then you wouldn't need 5 cents so again what do you want me to take off!??" Oh my God! I was shocked that this woman was coming at me like that behind a nickle. So I asked for the Manager and Judith M. replied and said that they were busy in meetings. I told her I parked extremely far from the store and it was extremely hot outside and I had the 5 cents in my car, but she turned to another cashier and changed a quarter to put the 5 cents I was short by in her register. Judith said to me "I work 8 hours a day and I refuse to have my register come up short for you or anyone else for that matter, you know how it is right?" And my reply was "Yes I have a job and yes I've worked in customer service for over 11 years and the way you treated me today was not right nor was it ethical, and when I get the chance I will contact your Corporate offices".. She nonchalantly gave me my receipt and I exit the store. Food 4 Less I've been a customer and dedicated to your stores for 15 years and I never had a nightmare experience until today. I'm still bothered and upset about it and I do not want this to go away. You do not mistreat nor bash ANYONE for that matter for 1 cent 2 cents 5 cents or a quarter, you are suppose to HELP people and customers by any means necessary. This experience brought tears to my eyes because the lack of empathy she displayed just wasn't right. She is very very rude and has no right to treat ANY customer this way.
