Ample serving sizes and attentive service make this a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Seating outside and inside. Outside seating has heaters and nice music playing. I had the eggplant with crispy wafers for an appetizer and it was very good. Next course was pumpkin risotto with blue cheese couple with steamed vegetables. Superb risotto. Al dente and the blue cheese was spot on. Vegetables were steamed without being soggy. Finished with a doppio espresso and it was perfetto. Total cost 34 euro. BEWARE!!! The blonde waitress here is a SCAMMER and will add fake charges to increase your bill!! AVOID! AVOID! We came here for lunch and the place was relatively empty. Service was very slow and the food portions are tiny for the price they charge. I can only assume the waitress thought we were Americans or something because she was giving us cold looks the entire time we were there, not a single smile out of her despite us being nothing but friendly! After we had left the restaurant we noticed a 5 euro entry of "meal" on our receipt even though our two food items already had separate listings on the receipt. Nowhere was it mentioned that there was a fee for table service so evidently the girl added this 5 euro to the bill so she could pocket it herself, probably thought it was easy extra cash to scam from tourists. This place was amazing. Super cool hip concept (traditional street food) and a great spot. Easy service and a great value. So good. They also give you gloves in case you don't want to get your hands dirty. Had the cheese case - basically a tour of the full variety of Italian cheeses. So much cheese. So little time. Amazing. Also had the chicken liver and polenta. Basically a big pot of steaming polenta with steaming liver on top. Really amazing. Hard to describe, but warm, wholesome and filling. Like a hug from inside. Had the half pork belly sandwich as a second and it was huge and with fries. So full but couldn't stop eating. So, here's the thing it's a pretty good restaurant the problem is that if you are looking for authentic, local cuisine this is not for you. This is a modern, americanized restaurant that I'm sure the locals appreciate (something different for them). After nearly two weeks in Italy my friend had a craving for american burgers which is what this place is known for - american burgers with a florentine twist. She absolutely loved it and mine was good but the fries were a little meh. Note that the burgers are really sliders. If you do a 1/2 order burger you get one slider, a full burger order is 2 sliders. So, as an American eating a burger in Florence this wasn't amazing but I'm sure for the locals it's a fun and different place to eat at. Dessert wise I had the lemon mousse dessert which was sadly disappointing - not very flavorful nor fresh. Oh well. Nice modern atmosphere with an on-trend farm to fork menu. The menu provides information regarding the source farms for the food they serve. Very nice touch! For dinner, the lighting was bold which created a strain on the eyes. Dimming the lights would be more inviting, and provide a warmer ambiance. The 5 course tasting option was delicious! Never disappointing. The food quality was excellent, yet the experience lacked a professional feel. Staff clearly needs more training. The first and second courses were served at the same time and each subsequent course was dropped before the last course was finished. No explanation of each course was provided when presented. Drop and go was the theme. At the end of the meal, our dirty plates were left quite awhile before someone came to clear. The restaurant might survive on the excellent food quality, but better service would certainly help it reach its potential! read more

We decided to dine at a restuarant that was celebrating/recognizing International Women's Day 2019. Foody Farms was packed, but they had room at the bar. The wine choices are lengthy and the mixed drinks looked beautiful while they were being delivered to our fellow patrons. Did I mention we were greeted at the door with a handmade bouquet. I went with a pasta dish for starters, pappardelle with tomato sauce and Burrata cheese. It was absolutely delish. My daughter went with the Chanti burger and paired it with a glass of the Chanti wine. Yum! We ordered the half size of everything and we were more than satisfied. Great atmosphere, great service would definitely recommend! Also, our cover charge was donated to a local charity - just for tonight. Win - Win. read more

I like the philosophy of foody farm; locally sourced, Tuscan dishes. However, the fast/rushed and mildly friendly service, where they forget about you is not great. You would think that because they were rushed the dishes would come out hot and fast. Not so. They came out slow, with long lags in between dishes. The food was tepid. We shared the ravioli with duck ragu, Maremma seared beef and pulled chicken pancake. The food was mediocre, with the exception of the steak which was good ( it could have been better if it was served hot and not lukewarm.) In total, as we are in Florence for only a couple of days, my recommendation is to skip this place and try something that will give you some satisfaction. read more

Was a little nervous because it's frequented by locals and my Italian isn't fluent but they helped me out when my translating skills only got me so far. Don't be turned off if the person taking your order looks like they're texting while you're talking, they're actually taking note of your order on the phone and which I thought was funny afterwards. When my wife and I met up with friends, and they suggested Foody Farm, I said "ok" but deep down in the confines of my wine fueled mind I was dying inside .... I kept seeing visions of the Italian version of Chuck E. Cheese where I was drunk, and having to eat really bad pizza while Italian kids made fun of me and I couldn't understand them ....... Thank God my wine brain is a silly irrational brain (my wife would disagree that this is a good thing). Foody Farm is FANTASTIC! Our friends and us had the most delightful and delicious meal there that rivaled anywhere else we travelled the following weeks ..... and that's a bold statement because I'm fat and love to eat. A nice restaurant off the beaten path away from touristy places. The restaurant reminds me of the Brooklyn hipster places I go to in nyc. Food was American ala Italian. Like Chianti burger. Fries are terrific. They have a crushed pork that was moist and not salty. The create your own salad was fresh and good selection of ingredients. Good wine and good beer in cool bottle. Just skip. I had the WORST caprihinia I have ever had. It just tasted like cachaca....and bad cachaca no lemon or sugar cane. My fiancé had a manhattan that tasted like jim beam shaken without any vermouth or bitters. The presentation of the cocktails was cute, they come in a small decanter of sorts which you poor yourself. However when it is delivered this way you lose the showmanship of the bartender creating your drink and creating it to preference. Oh and one of the decanters broke in my hand while i was trying to open it (i think it was put in the fridge while the glass was still warm). The food was mediocre at best. No interesting flavors and kind of dry. I am writing this review because I like what they are trying to do and it could have been an off night. This place was recommended to us by our host who we were staying with at an airbnb. We thought we would try it. It wasn't what we were expecting. I was hoping for something a little bit more quaint and Italianesque. This place was pretty modern, and I think a little bit too hip for my taste. The one great thing about this place is that they had excellent wine for the price per glass. I mean it was amazing how low priced they were. The food was farm to table but the menu was hard to figure out for each page was labeled like "Pasture", "Barn", etc....so we had to ask how it worked. Now, if you are meat lover then this place might have been more for you too. I don't eat red meat at all, and if I know where it comes from I'll eat chicken. So I ordered a salad and chicken with potatoes. In the end it seemed like American fast food. I didn't want a modern American like place. I wanted a quaint little place like we have been eating at throughout Italy. Perhaps the locals like this modern twist on the restaurant, and I totally understand why. It just wasn't what we were hoping for on our one night in Florence. No complaints on what we ate, the service, or the wine. read more

Terrific local Italian Fare. A short walk from the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. All farm-to-table veggies, meats and cheeses. We had the Beef, chicken and a pasta w/sausage.
