I will say the way they hardly use massage oil was a little off putting because I intentionally didn't slather any of my good stuff on at home after my shower because I wanted theirs to soak in. Idk if it's a culture thing or what but I was preparing to pay for myself, my daughter and nieces massage with gift cards we received and while I was trying to discreetly count the cash I had in my purse (thinking the desk clerk was getting me a receipt together) I glanced up at her (cash in hand but sliding it out of my purse) and she was staring at me with an annoyed look on her face & said "Well, aren't you going to tip?" Whew old me would have slid that tip right back into my bag and vowed to never return based on her actions but the masseuse's that were assigned to us did a wonderful job so I couldn't bark at them when they weren't the ones that bit me. Got a 90 minute massage on my birthday, it was heavenly! Going back 2 days later because it felt soooo good!

WOW! I needed that. I am going to go to foot finesse every month now. I am a service provider- I spend most of my days helping people relax and my body is usually tired by the end of the day. I received the 60 min $50 service and next time I'll definitely ask for the 90 minute. The best way I can describe the massage is a full body factory reset!! Normally I prefer Swedish massage but the pressure was the perfect amount of deep pressure. I appreciate that the massage is very intentional. If it's your first time going I recommend wearing comfortable clothes~ I wore a sports bra, yoga pants, and flip flops. This is my favorite place to get a massage and I've been coming here for 15 years and always had a consistently high quality experience. The standard massage is currently $50 for 60 minutes and covers your feet, arms, legs, and some back and neck. For $10 more, get the combo massage which skips your arms and does more time on your back; it's worth if you really want to get tension out of your back. I always feel like a new person when I leave here, and I think they apply way more pressure (in a good way) than I've had at high end spas. Things to note: you don't take your clothes off, so wear comfy clothes and pants that can roll up to your knees so you can soak your feet. You will be in a room with other people, but it's dark with calming music playing and your eyes are usually covered with a towel when you are on your back, so that has never bothered me. Let's just start with, they were open when they said they would be open. I was immediately greeted by two women at the counter. I will say that, they seemed to have been a bit impatient while trying to figure out what I wanted. And I almost think I heard one say to the other, "they never know what they want" and both proceeded to giggle. I almost walked out, but because I wasn't 100%, I figured let me not make a haste decision. After all, the goal is to get a foot massage. Fast forward, I'm glad I opted to stay to get the full experience. I don't know the lady's name who gave me my massage, but I promise she hit all of my trouble spots!!!! I normally get a 90 minute massage, but because this was my first time, I did 60. I wanted more!!! I will definitely be returning and will get the 90 minute massage. I was having a really bad day and needed a relaxation moment so I thought I would try this place again. The last time I went over 2 years ago, they stole my necklace and it was a whole thing. This time I brought nothing with me so that was that. It started out very peaceful then she started really digging. It felt like I was getting beaten up. It was so painful and not relaxing at all. At one point, I almost started crying. I knew I was tense and had knots because all I do is work but my god, it hurt so much and it shouldn't have. I got home after and all I could do was lay down. I didn't do anything else the rest of the day (I got home around 4:45pm). I woke up this morning to bruises all over my body. My neck, shoulders and back. Even my legs. If you have one hour and $30 go to Foot Finesse! If you want a full body massage (with an emphasis on your feet) but don't want to pay an arm & a leg or be naked with a stranger - this place is for you. I've never had to wait but I imagine there are wait times sometimes. But you walk in and go to the chair/table. You take off your socks and shoes & roll your pants up. (Take off necklaces, bracelets or rings if you wore them in.) Next you put your feet in a tub of hot water to start the relaxation process. (Don't worry, each tub is lined with a clear bag so it's clean!) Then they do a massage (reflexology). They massage your head, forehead, neck, shoulders, arms & hands. Then they work on your feet, calves and toes (& focus on those pressure points!). You turn over and they work on your shoulders, back, & hamstrings. The room is quiet- just meditation music playing. There are only a few chairs/tables per room. They cover you with a towel so you don't get cold (especially when your feet come out of the hot water). The pressure is great- but they'll ask a few times to make sure. Overall it's just a great experience! When your done you go back up front and pay (don't forget to tip!) and you leave feeling relaxed and ready for whatever is next I'm your day. read more

Love coming here with my boyfriend for a quick massage while it's hard to get into other more "official" massage spots which are also much more expensive or requiring a membership. There are a couple things they do that leave me confused (shaking both of your extended arms aggressively), but overall I enjoy getting a massage here for the price. The name "Foot Finesse" is a bit misleading for this business - sounds like a shoe store, no? The owners should have named the shop "Best Damn Traditional Chinese Full Body Massage You Can Get For $25!" I stopped in to Foot Finesse out of curiosity after seeing the foot reflexology poster in its window. That, plus I had time to kill after a business appointment fell through. Suffice it to say I will be back...probably next week! FF specializes in traditional Chinese massage, which means that much attention is given to the feet. Those familiar with reflexology know that the primary tenet of this modality is that the health and balance of the entire body begins with proper care of the feet. A session at Foot Finesse begins with a warm foot bath while you recline in a very soft and comfy massage chair - not the traditional massage table most practitioners use, trust me, more like a massage Barcalounger! - and the therapist works on various reflex points in the scalp and ears. Wait, here is a good place to interject that one remains fully clothed, save for shoes and socks, throughout the session. Arms and hands are massaged after the scalp and ears and then, oh then, the therapist will take control of your feet and lower legs, starting with the left side. A combination of compression, effleurage and shiatsu strokes are applied all over your tootsies and lower legs, with the final treat being a rapid succession of percussion and slapping strokes that are guaranteed to revitalize even the most tired, aching dogs out there! But wait, there's more!!! After both feet and legs are manipulated into a jello-like state - as in relaxed beyond belief - the therapist reclines the chair and flips you onto your belly so that he or she can tackle the kinks in your back, neck, upper legs and butt. The butt work is amazing! Many therapists dare not go there, but the FF pros know that this part of the anatomy is notorious for being tight - yes, sometimes we are all literally and not just figuratively tight-a**es! The end result? I honestly felt taller and lighter after my session and I'm no newcomer to massage or reflexology. At $25, this has to be the best body treatment bargain in town. The studio is spacious, minimally and tastefully decorated, and softly lit. Traditional Chinese instrumental music plays in the background to complete the experience. As I am writing , today we had an appointment at 10 am at 86th street location . We were checked in by front desk lady . She only mentioned that we can get 60 and not 90 minutes massage. We said ok . She fid not ask anything else. We were positioned on the massage chair and then our masseuse with poor english wanted to know if we want combo or not ? I asked what combo entails? He could not answer . Then his associate asked same question to my friend, who was with me for massage. She also asked what combo entails? I figured that it is easier to go with the flow, so I said that combo is fine. Once massage started and in 2 to 3 minutes , I was asked again if we want combo massage? As I opened my mouth, front desk lady or madam marches in and tells us to ' keep our mouth shut and no talk' . She said that there is one more customer in room. She also said that we are disturbing another customer. I ignored her rude tone and response when we checked in but this was difficult to let go. Needless to say that we left at once after such an unprofessional behavior. We did not say any thing except answering of question of their employee's' question. I also asked for private room but they put us with an another customer. I am not sure if this personnel has issues with how one appears or if she is not professional but she surely messed up my dream of starting this week relaxed . Foot Finesse offered me the best overall "foot massage" I've had in the States, easily. I've had glorious full body Thai massages in Bangkok, pleasant but not entirely satisfying ayurvedic massages in Kerala India, and lots of "foot" massages from reflexology/Chinese massage parlors in Indy. I love massages! When I used to wait tables they were a weekly habit of mine. This location has one open room with maybe a dozen or so 'beds' and then several smaller, more secluded rooms that branch off. It's not as dark as other foot massage parlors, and I did not hear any soothing music...but that's OK. The focus is on massage. While my feet soaked in a deep tub that was MEANT for soaking feet, the therapist started on my face. No weird ear poking here -- which I am happy about! Lots of neck and shoulder attention. Next came my arms. She spent probably 25 minutes on my feet and lower legs. It was good -- not the BEST foot portion of a foot massage I've had, but nothing bad. More relaxing than productive, would ask for a stronger foot massage next time. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful back and neck massage. Felt like she worked on these areas forever (a good thing). She was super into getting out kinks, using her elbos and hands...just fabulous. Literally I went from a 10 dollar tip to 15 for this portion of the massage alone. Usually this portion in my experience is about 10 to 15 minutes...this one lasted probably 25! One star gone because the woman who was massaging me was speaking loudly to another massage therapist next to us...for like 5 minutes... right when she started the massage! Not professional! No longer worth the $25. Unless you enjoy the thought of unwashed hands touching you and a painful, inexperienced "massage," Don't waste your money. The following is pretty gross, but I have to post it so others will know to beware. I've been here a number of times over the course of a couple of years--the first time was great but it went downhill from there and the last few times were awful. This place gave me an ear infection. The "masseuse" had unwashed hands and I spent a week in agony as a result. As part of the massage, they... well... kind of dig in your ears a little bit. A day or so after my last "massage" here (she did a terrible job) my ear started hurting and got worse. I was bed-ridden for literally a week. Two trips to the Dr... Eventually they had to prescribe a stronger antibiotic, and even Vicodin--that's how bad it was. If "Foot Finesse" can't even follow simple hygiene standards, they need to be shut down. Don't waste your money here--it has really gone downhill. The first massage I had here was a couple of years ago when they were first starting out and had a very small staff. The owner herself did the massage and it was really good. She knew what she was doing... applied deep pressure in all the right spots, and at the end I was completely wowed. But now they have a large staff, and when you consider the fact that they only charge $25 an hour--it makes sense that they hire cheap staff who are NOT trained properly, or are just lazy. I went back a number of times, and each experience was a little worse than the previous. On one occasion I notified the owner of what was going on--I told her that the girls were chatting and laughing the whole time, and not concentrating on giving a good massage. Frankly, the owner didn't care. She didn't offer to discount anything... literally just said "Oh, sorry about that." and took my money. Still, for 25 bucks, I gave this place a couple more tries. But, really? An ear infection???!? So disgusting... If you try to get a massage from this place nowadays, your "massage" will consist of lazy, random rubbing--in the wrong places, which is painful. And you'll be annoyed by the employees who are distracted and chatting away... When I left, my back was actually hurting and I was LESS RELAXED than when I walked in. That's not even a little bit relaxing. She was very rough. My suggestion to the masseuses is to slow down and don't be so rough.
