If you want a massage or esthetician work, and are on a budget, this is the place to come! They offer a variety of services, at a discounted price, because everything is done by students. I have had a full body massage, a full facial and a back facial completed here. Their website is great for looking up all their services, prices and hours. You must call to schedule an appointment. Once you arrive, you fill out a form about your health and skin. Then wait for your student to come and call your name. Then, the two of you will go over your health screen, allergies and concerns. They take you back to the main room. Massages are done on one side of the hallway, and esthetician services are done on the other. No matter the service you get done, you are taken to a "room" which is just divided by curtains on all sides. Everyone speaks in low volume, as to not disturb the other customers. The student will take you to your "room" and explain what will happen. Then, they leave and give you privacy to undress, as needed for the service. After the service is complete, and you redress, the student walks you back out to the lobby. You are encouraged to give them constructive feedback that will help in their education. If you don't feel comfortable telling them directly, there is a written survey you can fill out. Tips are not required, but if you do want to tip, it must be done in cash directly to the student. read more

Indiana Wellness College is honestly a hidden gem in Indy. The prices for facials and massages are unbeatable. A 50-minute massage for $30 and a 60-minute facial for $45 is hard to beat, especially since they use Dermalogica products, so you're still getting high-end quality. I've gotten at least ten full facials and one massage. The facials have all been great, but the massage was pretty underwhelming. You just have to remember the pricing is low because they're students and still learning. Let me reiterate they still do a great job. I recommend this place to everyone. read more

I'm getting married this summer and trying to make my skin look as fresh as possible. I can't afford crazy expensive facials every other week, but I can afford Indiana Wellness College. I was so impressed by the knowledge of my esthetician. It's a really fun experience as well. Before your facial you meet with your esthetics student and discuss your skin needs and what you want out of this facial. Then the student comes up with a plan and they briefly present it to the supervisor. If approved by you and the supervisor, you get started! A 50-minute massage for only $30? And tips are not required? I'm there! And then I found out that if you check in on Yelp, you get 20% off, which brought my total to $24! As you can probably tell, I get quite excited over not paying a lot of money. My massage was amazing, and not just because it was $24 (although that didn't hurt). My student masseuse, Kevin, was thorough and intuitive, and I left feeling positively relaxed. I've had massages that cost five times as much that didn't feel half as good as this one did. The people who work here are students, but they are professional and try their best to make sure you have a relaxing experience. Because this is a school, the massage area is no-frills. The massage room is dark and quiet except for some relaxing music playing. There are rows of tables separated by fabric, so you have your own little space, but you can hear what's going on next to you. It's a clean but very functional space. But for $24, that's fine with me! I also loved that I was able to get an appointment on the same day that I called. They're only open for massages Friday through Sunday, and I've heard they can book up quickly. read more

I almost don't want to review them on Yelp and keep this nice gem my little secret! This place is super nice, the students professional, and the customer service very nice. The booking process is super simple - can be done by calling or byb getting the Mind Body app [which many gyms use to book their workout classes]. Book it and pay when you get there. Massages can be booked in 50 or 80 min increments. They even have couple massage options. Same price as the individual, just in the same room vs separate rooms. The massages are given by students who are still learning so they aren't like 5-star spa quality, but they are $30 and darn near close! The massage rooms seems to be one big classroom that are separated by curtains so you can hear into the room next door but only if they're talking loud. The hubs and I enjoy pampering ourselves every now and again without breaking the bank. Pro tip: 50 minute massages means from the top of the hour to xx:50. The student I had (Abigail) was extremely professional, prompt, and provided the massage techniques that you would expect at a professional salon. And best of all, it was dirt cheap - less than $50 for 80 minutes! Can't beat that. Now, what are you NOT getting with that bargain? The little luxuries of a posh salon. You won't get a private room as each client is surrounded by hospital curtains. (Overall, I was impressed how relatively quiet it was. That said, I could hear the client on the other side of the curtain slightly snore lol). You won't get any fancy, scented oils or fragrant candles/incense burning nearby. There's no option for hot stone massages, body scrubs, etc. And for me, that is more than fine as I don't care for the frills. I just want a killer massage to get rid of my damn knots and to temporarily tune out the world. I will definitely be back! read more

Girls hate the music--they hear the same thing day after day. Was told there is over 7 hours of music but you couldn't prove it by me. Walked out early last week. Sick of it. What a perfect way to spend a Saturday! I heard about Indiana Massage College from my friend who visited the yelp event this past week, and after hearing her experience I immediately picked up the phone to schedule an appointment. Scheduling was very easy-best part is the clinic is open on weekends when I have more free time. The atmosphere of the clinic is great- friendly and professional staff, and the address takes you right to the main office building. There in not a sign out front, but the door to get in is at the back of the building facing US 31. I was able to check in on yelp and get 20% off my 50 minute massage- how awesome is that! If you plan on tipping make sure you bring cash. My massage was lovely. At the begging I filled out a sheet talking about my problem areas, requests, activity level etc so that therapist can tailor the massage to you. I'm very active and do a lot of heavy lifting so my back and shoulders needed some work. Jennifer worked on my back, shoulders, and neck for a bit whic helped to take away some of that tension. What really made me happy was her honesty. At the end we discussed my massage and she thought it would be best for me to see a therapist who works on athletes, and recommended one specific individual to me. I'm now on the waiting list for him, so fingers crossed! Update: I had an issue with billing here (I wanted to get my yelp discount so my card was swiped again to and refund was to be issued) and I've been waiting now for almost 2 months to get my refund, so I have to subtract a star. read more

Let me start by saying I've been here twice- the first massage was meh and the second was even worse (both massages I did not get my full time that I paid for ) I don't really like that especially when I'm paying for it by the minute- (also I took my husband with me to the second time and he said his massage was also meh) I'm extremely picky with my massages so I guess I'll just stick with professional massages (they say you pay for what you get) and in this aspect I blame the school because maybe their students are not ready to be out in the clinic yet as I've been to other massage schools and have never had a bad massage. FANTASTIC place! I have been going here for years, and I have never had a bad massage. The massage therapist students are excellent at what they do, the receptionists are kind and hilarious, and the managers are awesome as well. Indiana Wellness College is always clean. The music is so relaxing there. Furthermore, I like that they have diff lengths of time for your massage. You can get a a 50 min massage, 80 min, or 110 min. The receptionists know my name and remember things that I say. I think that's great because they have so many clients there. It makes me feel special and like I'm not just "another client." Holy. wonderfulness. I cannot thank Lauren L. and Brittany S. enough for reviewing this place. I almost don't want to spread the word so it can be a secret for a few of us, but that's silly because this place deserves all the business in the world. I scheduled an appointment on the website and got a confirmation email within a few hours. For mere dollars more than you'd pay at Foot Finesse (which is fine don't get me wrong), you get the full massage experience for 20 minutes more. When I pulled up to the building, for a moment I was like, this seems sketchy, but that was really only because there was 1 other car in the parking lot. Since this is in an office complex and is only open on weekends, this totally makes sense. I'm just weirdly paranoid about everything these days. I was warmly greeted when I came in and was asked to fill out a few simple forms about my medical history, what I'm wanting out of the massage, etc. Within minutes I was back in the private room on the heated bed, anxiously awaiting my 80 minutes of bliss. My student was more than professional, really working through the problem areas I had indicated and making me suffer through the pain. It hurt SO good! I could tell she was nervous but she did a fantastic job. Not really too different from any "professional" massages I've received elsewhere. Maybe this is me being really strange, but I loved the lotion she used. It had no scent, so I was able to go about the rest of my Sunday without smelling strange. Scented lotions also sometimes cause me to break out as I have very sensitive skin, but I didn't notice anything like that at all. The pricing is perfect - an hour and 20 minutes massage for $37. They are only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but the drive to Carmel (unless you live there I guess) is totally worth it. Highly, highly recommend! read more

I decided to get a massage after attending a Yelp event and learning about IMC. I called in to make an appointment and the lady let me know that I would need to see a student that had been in classes for awhile since I wanted the 110 minute massage. They asked if I preferred a female or male too. I got to the appointment early according to the confirmation email to fill out my paperwork. They ask you to pay up front and do accept credit cards, but you can only tip with cash. You can tip after your appointment. My massage student came to get me and reviewed my paperwork and took me back through a maze of curtained off areas. She tucked me away in one cordoned off area and advised me to lie down face up. There is no way to "knock" to make sure you are ready so I guess they just try to time it right. You can hear everyone walking by and some talking. My student did whisper to me throughout to make sure the pressure was good. There was also music that randomly would get louder much like commercials do on the television. We both laughed at that! I'm a talker during my massages so this was hard to be quite for so long since I didn't want to ruin any of my neighbor's experiences. You cannot beat the experience for the price, that is for sure. It was doubly nice that Yelp had a discount for my first time check in as well! Even regularly priced, this was well worth it. I like having this as a back up to my normal massage routine and that you can book for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday with a pretty wide range of hours. read more

Lets just say this: my massage and experience was so lovely that I booked a return visit for the next week...this isn't typical for me, you guys. When you're looking at $36 for an 80 minute massage, you literally cannot beat this deal in Indy/Central Indiana. Yes, your therapist is a learning student. Yes, the space is very sterile and feels hospital-like. Yes, the check-in process is somewhat chaotic especially on Saturday mornings. BUT! It is so worth it. I had a great massage, friendly therapist, ended up feeling more relaxed than most other massages and the affordability made it something I can pull off more often. What I loved most about my student (Mya) was that she actually listened to my areas of concern (neck) and gave this area the special attention it needed. She checked in early on in the massage to confirm the level of pressure was comfortable and quietly rolled out a beautiful massage from start to finish. I had the best massage EVER by one of their students after the Indy Women's Half Marathon. It was a free massage, yet it was better than any massage I've payed for. I want to say that the woman who massages me was named Ashely (I could be wrong). She discovered knots I didn't know I had and talked to me about how a combination of regular massages and home treatments could help them. In addition to working on knots, she helped me stretch some tight muscles out, which helped a lot after running a half marathon! Not only did I relax a lot during the session, but I also learned so much about my body! Because of this, I'll definitely be scheduling an appointment with them soon. What a hidden gem. I only found out about ICSM due to Brittany S's 5-star review. Massages are done in private rooms (they do have a couples' suite) and cost $25 for 50 minutes. Yes, $25! The massages are done by students but I didn't notice much of a difference from other massages I've had. The environment was very professional. They offer 80-minute massages for $37 and 80-minute hot stone massages for $45. Since I work on the northside and live downtown, it seems like a pain to drive back up north on the weekends, but this was totally worth it. One note -- you can't add a tip if you pay by card. I was not sure how good a $30, 50 minute, student massage would be but figured I would give it a try. Checking in with Yelp brought it down to $24. I wish i had tried the Indiana Wellness College years ago!! I was able to get a massage on the day I called. I did not take that chance for my next massage and scheduled an 80 minute massage before leaving. The massage area is one big room with beds separated by big thick curtains. There is calming music playing, the room is cool, and you can have the bed heated to your comfort level. The massage area is so relaxing and then the massage starts. I filled out my form explaining exactly where I was having pain/stiffness and then discussed it with my student, Katrina. She did an amazing job of targeting the areas causing me problems and worked out all the pain/stiffness! I highly recommend Indiana Wellness Center and cannot wait for my next (longer) massage!! The no pressure, expectation, or mention of tipping but you can leave a tip with the Receptionist (who is great!!) and it goes towards events for the students. read more
