Unfortunately, I showed up 30 minutes before close, but all of the staff was accommodating for me staying a few minutes after close to finish my purchase. Gina, Isaac, and Sawyer all helped me through different parts of my shopping experience. I also came away with a Fleet Feet exclusive for my shoes. My only wish would be for it to have a treadmill for trying out the different shoes. I would wholeheartedly recommend going to Fleet Feet for your running needs!

Searching for new running shoes at 63 YO after not running for a bit, I visited this store because friends had always recommended it. Now I see why, worth the trip to Boulder! I hit the jackpot, as staffer Mike was excellent, with exceptional knowledge of his store, running, and shoes in general. Personnel greeted us warmly. They have a techy sensor pad that examines your feet and makes suggestions about sizing, type of shoes, and brands, then makes suggestions, taking so much of the subjectivity out of the equation. Mike knew his stuff and gave me a pair of options. Both were extremely comfortable and had a great feel. It was a tough call, but the New Balance option emerged victorious and was on sale! They also have a Happy Fit policy, backing up your purchase for 60 days, and will price match. I added some summer running gear and nabbed a calf sleeve Mike recommended with solid reasoning and measurements. In addition, they have incredible apparel and a running club that prepares people for distances and races. Boulder Running Company has joined Fleet Feet, the largest running specialty retailer in the nation. What a great pairing, helping people like me looking for running advice. This will end up being my Go-To running store.

The staff helped my husband and me select everything we needed, and we spent about $1,000. Unfortunately, my swim cap ripped the second time I used it. When I returned to request an exchange, the experience was completely different. The employee immediately blamed my nails, then said she couldn't help because only the owner could approve it. The conversation became focused on whether the brand's rep would reimburse the store, which felt irrelevant as a customer simply asking for an even exchange on a $10 item. It was disappointing to receive that level of resistance over such a small issue after making a significant purchase just days earlier. Sadly, this experience means I won't be returning.

I haven't joined a group run quite yet tho my understanding is that they offer a few different distances, routes, and groups running at different speeds. Last night I attended their first ladies event. While I wasn't able to make it to the 4:30 pm run, I was happy to attend the evening of fun that followed. With my two best gal pals in tow we took in this store and event. Upon walking in the door we were impressed by the large crowd of attendees and jamming' tunes. There was so much to eat and so much to do. For starters there was a sports bra fitting offered by Brooks, a libations table offering champagne, wine, and beer, multiple food stations with a chocolate fountain, cookies, fruits, pot stickers, deviled eggs, chicken, spring rolls, chips and three layer dip, and more. These ladies obviously know how to throw a party. The fun didn't stop there. We enjoyed a fashion show which displayed the hottest running fashion gear and trends followed by a raffle. Now this was no ordinary raffle, they gave out nearly twenty killer prizes. From free sports bras, to special edition tanks, to gift certificates to the store, to Nike bags, every winner was elated. The only strange thing was a group of ladies that somehow amassed a pile of raffle tickets as some of their friends had left the event (they took home about 1/3 of the prizes tho they did spread the tickets among themselves). All fun aside In Motion had a plethora of beautiful running sneakers, clothing, accessories, and hydration supplements. If you fall in love with a product and they don't have the size you are looking for let them know and they'll happily order it for you. There's a lounge with plenty of seating, Eldorado water, and a station of nearly every foam roller and rehab stick you can find. There's also an in house physical therapist and massuese, truly a one stop shop. Definitely check this place out for your running and fitness needs!

They were actually planning to leave negative feedback and Google reviews about her. It honestly made me feel bad for the employee because she was just doing her job, and personal issues shouldn't be taken into someone's workplace. After reading the reviews later, I noticed several negative ones posted around the same time, which made me wonder if they were connected. When I visited, I was greeted, helped when I needed it, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Let's try to do better and keep personal vendettas out of the workplace. Employees deserve fairness too.

I had been looking for a smaller bag in a lighter color for summer and had not found one in my…read moreusual first choice locations. I even looked online at REI where there would be a collection to choose from different brands. Many, I had already seen and were not exactly right or if promising, they were out of stock. But the last time I bought a bag sight unseen, at a great clearance price from Athleta, it was smaller than needed. When I saw a bag online with good dimensions and good colors and I knew that we had an Arc'teryx store on Pearl, I called them. I have owned their branded fleece in the past and remembered that it had great quality features. I was told what bag colors were in stock, so I got a ride down to look. I chose the mallow (lavender, very summery) color and the price was right so I bought it. A nice feature it has, as a cross body style, is a narrower strap than my winter one. This makes it all the more comfortable when it is worn directly on a summer shirt. My other bag is much more comfortable over a coat. The store was beautiful and well staffed. They even have some specialized laundering machines behind a wall of glass. If you buy a down or Gor-tex jacket from them, they will launder it for free. That sounds like a great service. Sadly none of my down jackets are theirs. Luckily I have no problem laundering our Gortex jackets (also not their brand) but I will take that into account when replacing jackets in the future. I have a brand that fits me and that is always my first criteria.

Arc'teryx Downtown Boulder Store - Disappointing Experience with Their Repair Promise…read more I recently visited the downtown Boulder Arc'teryx location with my $90 lightweight long sleeve shirt, hoping to get a small collar stitch repaired. I had purchased this shirt with the understanding that Arc'teryx stood by repairs for their products--but left the store feeling let down by both the service and their warranty policy. My shirt developed a loose thread in the collar after coming out of the wash. I figured it would be an easy, straightforward fix, so I brought it back to the store. The employees seemed unsure about store procedures and explained I had two repair "options": Mail it off to their repair facility (estimated 6-8 week wait)--a solution I was fine with. Receive a store voucher to put towards a replacement, which would be emailed after 30-90 minutes. I said the voucher was fine and left to grab a coffee. Not long after, I got a call from the associate letting me know I suddenly wasn't eligible for a voucher or repair at all because I'd cut off the three-inch-long white side tag. She explained, in a condescending manner, that removing the tag voids the warranty. For clarity: this tag is attached with a small, easily-removable piece of fabric (a common industry practice precisely so customers can remove the tag without harming the garment). I bought this shirt about six months ago and, like most people, didn't want a long nylon tag sticking out of the hem, so of course it's no longer there. It was honestly frustrating to be told that removing such an intrusive tag disqualified me from any warranty help--especially for a clearly minor manufacturer flaw like an unfinished thread. Overall, I was extremely disappointed: The employees didn't really know their store policies, and what should have been a small fix turned into a hassle. The "repair guarantee" is misleading--if you cut off a tag, you lose eligibility for both repair and any compensation, regardless of whether the damage is a manufacturing defect. At this price point, I expect reliable customer service and a real commitment to standing by your products. Needless to say, I'll be looking elsewhere for quality gear. The service and policies here just aren't trustworthy enough for me to shop with Arc'teryx again.
