I have shopped at this store before for mouth guards and shin guards and it's always been a fine experience. Today I brought my daughter to buy her first field hockey stick. A young man approached us and it was clear from the get go that he didn't have any real knowledge of field hockey. He kind of stared at the wall of sticks for awhile as said "I think it needs to reach her hip". Then he handed her a stick that was 32" (clearly too small) and said "it should be alright". Sensing that we were "not in good hands" I said, "would it be better if we came back when someone is here who knows field hockey?" He responded "Oh, Erin knows field hockey, she's in the back." I felt relief because my logical assumption was that this knowledgeable person would now come out and help us purchase a Field Hockey stick. Instead, the boy came out again mumbling "she said the sizes are marked on the back of the stick" and handed my daughter a 36.5" stick and said it Iooked fine. At this point I was getting irritated. Ten minutes of my life have just been wasted staring at a huge wall of field hockey sticks that I know range in price and size and the person who knows Field Hockey can't be bothered to come out and help us?? We were the only people in the store! So, at this point I said "Look I'm a little confused. No offense, but you clearly don't seem to know about Field Hockey. Why is the person in back not coming out to help us? I'm kind of irritated. All I want to do is buy my 10 year old daughter a stick. I think we're going to leave". Now this experience would have been chalked up as bewildering if I had just walked out the door. End of story. But, as I was walking out the door, the woman in back emerged! She strode up to me saying "I don't appreciate how you just spoke to him." What??!!! I truly thought she was coming to apologize to me for ignoring us as customers. I've just wasted 15 minutes of my life (with 3 kids in tow) with a teenager who clearly has NO idea how to help me. She then tells me he's new. Well, if he's new to the job, why on earth didn't she come out and show him how to sell a field hockey stick???! Train him! When I protested that I didn't think I was being rude but, didn't understand why she didn't come out to help me- she replied "well, you don't need to buy your stick in this store". Am I crazy? This is a business, right? I truly felt like I had entered an alternate universe. I was the customer. I was ready to purchase something. Shouldn't the knowledgeable salesperson come out and do her job? And then I get told off for mildly expressing my dissatisfaction with the service I received.. This is truly a shame because this is a local business which I would love to support but, now I'll never go back. If this woman is the owner of the store- good luck! But, if she isn't- I truly hope the owner realizes she is an awful manager.

The best dance supply store I've been to! They have so many sizes available in leotards from child…read moreto adult XL and a great variety of brands and materials (cotton leos for the win!). The staff are friendly and so helpful. One of the staff recommended a leotard brand that fits me so well and went to the back several times to find different sizes, colors, or styles for our small group. Thank you! They have a comfy couch seating area for those waiting on dancers trying on dancewear and an adorable play area for little ones. The dressing rooms have plenty of space and great mirrors too! They thought of everything when designing the store.

Honestly customer service was just ok but they have everything ur dancer needs .... I was excited…read moreto be there but was received sub par honestly for my daughter's first time there..... they have lots of shoes and gear..... would like if the dance wear was separated differently by sets not sizes overall I'll return they have a rewards program and they're a one stop shop ..... we saved 10% for being affiliated with a partnering dance studio.

But, surprisingly the store was fully stocked, well organized and full of great stuff. I bought two pair of shoes, a couple of running shorts, gym gear and a hat for less than $120 bucks! Talk about a deal...Anyone who knows about a Nike store, you can pay that price for just one pair of shoes or hoodie alone!! LOL! The floor plan is open which is great for accommodating large crowds, and this place tends to get crowded for sure but, what I've noticed is that the lines at check out move fast and they tend to have a good rotation of inventory. There were a couple of items on the floor where I needed a different size and one of the staff members were able to check their stock and pull the size I needed from the inventory room. I really appreciated that as to he could've been lazy, and not even bother to put forth the effort, giving that the store was so crowded. In all, easy to shop because of the set up and attentive staff. Also, great prices and return policy. The store is large, clean with lots of rotating stock and items for a factory outlet store. I also purchased early Christmas presents for my grandchildren. The customer service I received from the following sales associates was awesome: Joy F, Ebony, and Jeremiah. Under the direction of the manager Isaiah created a more smooth check-out and every item I needed and wanted was found on the floor or in the back inventory. My daughter had her heart set on getting a brand new Lamar Jackson Ravens jersey. Since we're from Cali it would've been almost impossible to find that jersey. I went to the first lids store in the mall and the associate told me to come to the "locker" one. I was greeted by two very friendly gentleman Eddie and Andy (i believe that was their names) they gave off Rob and Big energy and were so pleasant and helpful. Andy helped me get the jersey my daughter wanted along with two other jerseys; a throwback Vince Carter raptors jersey and the highly sought after Michael Jordan UNC college jersey. Both in youth sizes. Our lids in Cali rarely sell jerseys and if they do it's only Warriors so to find these gems were a huge win for me! As I was getting ready to pay their register was having a bit of an IT issue. They both handled it very professionally and made sure to communicate with the other customers what was going on. They were only offline for less than 10 mins and even offered customers to come back and they would hold their items if they had to go to other places. That was very nice of them considering they weren't sure when the system would be back up. This is probably my favorite Lids to ever visit...it's too bad it's across the country otherwise my child would go broke there lol!
