I've shopped at this Foot Locker location on and off for years. Even though they have a decent enough selection of sneakers to check out on the walls I usually leave without a purchase. I've bought a few pairs here when they had an occasional good sale deal, which isn't offered as often anymore. Service is also ok and based on who helps you can vary. Plus, its a narrow space and can get a bit crowded especially on weekends. read more

Foot Locker is pricey but I like the selection. Today I was assisted by a friendly staff member. They didn't have the sandal I was inquiring about. I did fall in Love with some red Converse. But I'm not done wearing out the ones I have! I'm glad this store hasn't closed. Many stores along this block turn over. I need to pay closer attention to annual sales. I'm sure you need to be there first to get the size you need. This is a busy neighborhood. Shoe Stores are hard to find. read more

I purchased tennis shoes at my neighborhood store on 86th st. the other weekend. Was SO impressed by the customer-centric efficiency the entire team exuded, during an incredibly busy time!  The store was packed with people, it's a tight space, and I was so pleased with the high level of service we received. In today's crazy world, customer service has waned but not at Footlocker.  I'm going to add this franchise to the few who know how to hire and value their customers! There's something to be said about being able to walk into a neighborhood store, buy something needed of quality quickly rather than go online and purchase from Amazon who ups their prices each time you re-purchase items. Then you have to wait to delivery. This is a great reason to shop locally in person, not to mention supporting local businesses as a tax base for NYC and NYS! Keep up the great work! Red read more

They have a whole wall full of men's shoes and only a 1/2 wall for women's shoes. Bummer. Was looking for cross trainers, and they didn't have more than 10 pairs, most of which looked to be more for style than function. Oh well. Decent store. It's clean and wasn't too full. read more

i had to flag someone to help despite there being 6 people standing around. i asked for four shoes and they brought me three with no explanation and I had to find them again and have them tell me it's out of stock when they just scanned it and showed me it was. the shoes I ended up with I wish I had gotten somewhere else to give the money to someone else but I needed to leave with some. they also barely spoke to me at checkout and gave me the filling stuff for one shoe (the wrong one) and then the other with nothing. read more

Went in today and was helped by Jose-who I think was the manager. It's rare I take time to review but because of the exemplary customer service and great attitude of Jose-and the staff in general-I will never buy sneakers anywhere else. Every single person that worked there said hello, good bye and smiled when you spoke with them. Wouldn't recommend going to this location at all. For starters it's extremely small and tight spaced. And secondly the person at the register needs to be trained in being more welcoming and friendly. His dimeanor was very unwelcoming and he sounded like he hated his job and didn't want to be there. Not the type of people you should have working at a foot locker. read more

I have never in my life have ever dealt with such horrendous customer service. Ms Mendez you should be ashamed to call yourself a manager, but then again with the way you treat your paying customers I think that title is quite fitting. I had a wonderful encounter of meeting this "women" if that what she considers herself, when I went to simply exchange a pair of sneakers I was sold wrongfully in the first place. A few months back I went to purchase a pair of sneakers for my boyfriend. My boyfriend is not a "sneaker head" by any means. He only wears these one pair of Nike's so when I found a pair that he didn't have I was happy. The young man told me he had a pair in the back that weren't out & he'd gladly sell them to me for the same price. He brought me out the sneakers, I paid for them & left. When I got home my boyfriend tried on one of the shoes & said they were a little snug so I planned on exchanging them. A few weeks went by I threw out the receipt & brought them to the Foot Locker closer to my house. When we got there & opened the box we realized it was two completely different shoes, they told us to bring them back to the Foot Locker I had purchased them speak to a manager & they would politely exchange them for me. I went in & brought the shoes & that is when this whole ordeal went down. The manager had a real attitude from the start after I explained to her the whole story. I explained to her I didn't have the receipt & the shoes have never been worn. She told me "it is not my fault that I didn't have the receipt" & that she doesn't "remember these shoes being here for a really long time". She then proceeded to turn into a monster of a person & refused to sell me anything. I will be calling the main headquarters & reporting her. People like her is the reason why the Upper East Side is slowly declining. I wasn't even able to exchange the shoes or purchase what else I planned. read more

I've basically decided I'm only going to come into this Foot Locker to look at shoes in-person vs. online, but it's unlikely I'll ever buy a pair of sneakers from here. I've gone in on multiple occasions and it doesn't matter if it's busy, slow, or even empty - none of the staff seem to actually want to help you. It's almost like you're bothering them if you ask for a size or want to check out. On top of that, I've gone in to buy a pair of sneakers on multiple instances and they didn't have my size in stock (men's size 11.5). One time, my family went in to buy matching Nike Prestos and they didn't have ANY of our sizes in stock (m 11.5, w 9, and PS 1). So not only do they not care, it's like Foot Locker won't even empower them to care by providing enough stock. That's why I've decided to spend my $100-$150 at other Foot Locker locations or just purchase online instead. read more

Earlier today, I was walking to Foot Locker hoping to use my gift card to buy some shoes more adept to the snowy weather. I picked a shoe that I thought was suitable and waited for another 30 minutes until they brought told me they didn't have it. I asked for the same shoe in a different color and waiter another half hour. I decided they weren't very comfortable in my size and reluctantly asked for another pair. Another ten minutes passed and they told me that the other shoe I wanted was out of stock as well. Finally I had enough and left the store. The employees were rude and unhelpful. The employees here are ABSOLUTELY useless. I came into Foot Locker early afternoon a week ago to see if they had a new release I was looking for. Went in and asked and one of the employees said that the shoe that I was looking for will arrive later that day and told me to come back after 4 PM. I came back at 4 PM and was trying to look for the same employee that assisted me but he wasn't there. As I asked another employee she rudely said that the shoe I was looking for was never ordered in that Foot Locker.. So they've provided the wrong information, had shitty attitudes and there were a bunch of customers looking for help but he employees were bunched together in the back laughing and chatting. I went to return a pair of Adidas because they came apart after having them only 2 months ,that I may have worn 3 times. I ask for manager and I explained the situation and telling him I have cc receipt with me. Danny explained the store policy like he was programed to say because that is the way it came out. He said he had to make a call to another store manager. I have to say this was the worst customer service I have ever experience in a long time. I purchased a pair of black New Balance shoes in the Foot Locker Store at the 159 East 86th Street, New York, NY 10028. The staff was very nice. After wearing the shoes a few dozen times, the soles split away from the rest of the shoes. I took them back to the Foot Locker at the Mall Boynton Beach, FL Foot Locker store and ran into clerks that: did not know what planet they were on, had terrible tattoos and grammar, could not think of anything to do, and had no one with a brain to call on. I called the 800 phone number and waited for about 40 minutes, and finally spoke to an idiot that was very difficult to understand. After realizing the phone clerk was too stupid to cope with the problem, I asked to speak to a supervisor. I am still waiting to hear from that supervisor. The very-low quality of front line staff and very bad software they use, makes it almost impossible to solve any problem. DO NOT BUY FROM FOOT LOCKER. read more

Customer service was at an all time low at this location. Not only was I not greeted upon any time of my visit (e.g. Hello, need any help, can I get you a size in anything, thank you for your visit, etc) I had to "interrupt" a conversation that three male workers were having on the sales floor about a show they saw last night and what girl one of them was currently talking to. I asked about a pair of timberlands which one brought out, I tried it on as he continued his conversation with his colleagues about who was making what ever money on the side. I personally don't care for certain conversations but when it comes to paying attention to a paying (NOT BROWSING) customer, I would've expected a little more effort. Well I tried on the shoes and saw that one foot had a flaw to it, not there fault, so I asked to get another and pointed out the flaw which was obvious. One said that it was the last pair (how convenient) and proceeds to tell me when I go home to clean/ scrape it off. At that point I said no thank you and walked out. In my opinion, that situation could've been handled in so many different ways but I guess they didn't want to make a sale. read more
