My husband and I went for a couples foot massage. Other than being seated in a separate area separated by a curtain there wasn't anything romantic about it per se and the seats were pretty far apart so much so we couldn't interact/hold hands while waiting to have the massages start. Once the massage commences we became to relaxed to care so it wasn't a big deal but I think in the future I'll request we be closer and I'll certainly ask for more blankets as I was cold most of the session until I finally spoke up. My massage therapist never asked if I was comfortable, if the water pressure was okay as I had requested HOT, but the water in the bucket was more lukewarm so again, right from the beginning I had to ask for the water to be warmer. My husband said his therapist asked him a few times about his comfort level and his bucket of water was the temperature he requested. We arrived just on time which I would suggest they remind or let guests know to come early to sign in, It's possible they did but for some reason they only contacted my husband to confirm the appointment and not me. I made the appointment and provided both of our numbers; so I'm not sure what the general policy is but for future I'll too will make sure they do any confirmation or pre-visit/massage communication with me because he never even told me they had been sending him confirmation or messages so I just assumed that was not part of their protocol until the day we were driving there he had mentioned he had confirmed the appointment the day before. Initially I made the mistake of thinking they were still located in Braselton across from the Chateau Elan as a friend has taken me once before. I'm not sure why I never made the connection they had moved or I had scheduled it in Athens but obviously that's a longer drive so we had to reschedule the first appointment due to my mistake and they were very accommodating and kind and we didn't receive any charges due to the fact we rescheduled and came in to make up the appointment. The navigation to the spa was a bit challenging as they are hidden in a corner of a busy shopping center so planning for that and parking is another thing we will need to prepare for when we return as that was a good 10 min making us walk in right at the time of our appointment instead of early. The boutique store in the spa has some amazing and unique one of a kind finds for helping you create an at home spa feeling with their cozy robes and products. We wish we had a beverage of some kind included in the service, even a cup of water as massages can be dehydrating and encouraging hydration after should be considered by offering a complimentary flavored cup of water. The form asked if we wanted a beverage but not a mention of price so I checked thinking we would have been brought one but afterwards was told by the front desk staff that usually they will ask what kind upfront but due to us being late the therapist must not have seen we wished for one (which we walked in right at the time the appointment was booked but remember the pre-massage form took a few minutes); which explains why they didn't have the water temperature correct and made me feel as if why did we need to spend time completing the information if it wasn't even read or acknowledged. I saw them bringing beverages to others well after we sat down so my thoughts on that were the therapist could have asked the front staff to help accommodate this request for us. At check out, I asked about it and she explained per above and my husband said he was fine not receiving it after the fact and I asked if I could be given the choices and was it part of the service we just didn't receive and she then explains no; it was an additional cost (but that's not noted on the form where it was asked so I was under the impression it was something extra and was looking forward to it; so I was a little bummed about the entire transaction afterwards because she made me feel as if we were super late and that due to that the overlooked the check mark but in my mind; they overlooked us altogether and this is just a fast in and out; no special feelings of being pampered except during the treatment. The Treatment itself for me I believe was okay, nothing out of the ordinary and I did leave a little more relaxed. I wish she would have asked about what pressure (soft, medium or hard) I preferred but that too was never discussed and at times it felt too soft where more pressure would have been nice. My husband said his therapist asked him a few times if the pressure was good and if he was comfortable. Mine did not but she was cordial and nice, and did her "job" but nothing extra. I got the 60 minute signature message and was very underwhelmed. There is a lot of wasted time during your 60 minute time slot. From calling your name into the massage room 2-3 minutes after your appointment time, to ending the massage a few minutes early. Also, once you enter the massage room, your massage therapist will introduce/ask/talk to you about your massage, then they leave again to gather the water bucket for your feet soak. (They should have this ready for you, why waste time?) The massage started 8 minutes past the hour. Then a few minutes later, they stop remove the water bucket. They start the massage again, then leave again for a warm eye mask. Then start the massage again, then stop again for a hot towel to wipe your feet, then stop again, to take back the towel. So in actuality the massage is really 40-45 min with all the stops and gos. Lastly, I have been here twice, and hoped the second time would have a better outcome. Both times the therapist is very slow, barely apples any pressure after being asked to on the card you fill out before you enter the appointment, and I verbalize it to the therapist. Overall, it's a very lazy massage and no relief from soreness, discomfort or pain. Just enjoy your feet getting wet. read more

I'm glad I'm not the only one who agrees this is NOT a massage but a 60 minute soft touch on face, neck, and feet. I expressed several times to the therapist I needed firm pressure. She replied "I'll try" and then completely ignored me. It was not told until afterward when I told the front desk that this was a disappointment. She said they don't do "deep tissue", but I wish the therapist could have communicated the lack of any kind of pressure, especially after writing that I need firm pressure on the form you have to fill out before you go in. I would have left immediately instead of spending 60 minutes being aggravated. I have been to places that have a room with other people, but not herded in at the same time and the therapists doing the same thing at the same time like robots. It was weird. Perhaps there are stronger and more capable therapists that y'all have had better luck with, but I won't be coming back to try. I think all my reviews have been beginning with "I'm new to the area".. but I am. And I've been trying lots of new places. I got a recommendation from a FB group. It's cute and chic inside. There is merchandise and beverages available for purchase in the front. We had a short wait before our reservation. We were taken to a darkish room with quiet music. I purchased the basic package . The massage was ok. I relaxed a bit. I will say that my daughter was placed in the last chair on the right and it was very very squeaky. It was louder than the music. I've always liked this place. However, I recently had my anniversary and decided to make an appointment for a couples massage. I read up on it on their website because I have only ever received the unwind package. I read that it was in a private room and around $104. It literally described an hour long unwind for both you and the "other" to your couple. I was unable to make the appointment for the couples massage via their website so I made the decision to drive to the location and speak with the front desk receptionist so there would be nothing lost in communication. I told her I would be interested in the couples massage and made our appointment. The lady even advised us they only do couple's appointments at certain times. So we were under the impression she understood we wanted the couples massage and booked it with her at the time she said was available. When we get there the day of our appointment we were out in the general room with everyone else. I just decided to let it go and relax to enjoy the service with my husband. It was extremely loud with people walking in and out but I chose to just sit and not make a scene. I hate confrontation. We then go to leave and I say please use the card on file from the booking. After I get home I checked and we were NOT charged for the couples massage but for (2) head to foot massages which are $100 EACH. I was not given what I asked for and if I would have know we were in the general room I would have just paid for the unwind package. Although we enjoyed our visit, it was indeed not what I asked for and double the price of what I had expected to pay. I'm highly disappointed, and sad to say they have lost my business. I felt like whether it was a loss in communication or if they need to update their website with new prices.. my trust was taken advantage of and there was nothing I could do other than just pay for the service. Came to the Foot Palace with a friend for a Reflexology Foot Massage. I had never been here before and had never had a food massage so I was really looking forward to it. We made an evening appointment and arrived right on time. We only waited about 3 minutes and were taken right back. I chose the one hour massage and was so very glad that I did. You can select from feet and legs massage only or add your shoulders, arms and hands as well. I just chose the shoulders. The therapy room was darkened and there was some relaxing music playing. The chandeliers in there were very nice too. I know that's a weird thing to mention but they really were lovely. I settled into a comfy lounge chair and the massage therapist put my footies in a warm/hot foot soak. She started working on my shoulders and neck first. It was wonderful, and so very relaxing. When that was done she placed a warm towel over my eyes, reclined my lounge chair and moved to my feet snd legs. For the next 30-40 (guessing) she worked her magic on my feet and calves. She knew all the pressure points and gave them all special attention. Her touch was perfect - not too hard but strong enough to be effective. It was fabulous! I can't really tell you what all she did; I was too relaxed to take notes. Lol. Plus I'm rather ticklish and it was not a problem. Not once. Let me add- I WILL be back. It was absolutely worth every nickel. Self care is so very important, especially these days and I can't think of a better way to treat yourself than a visit to the Foot Palace. read more

You enter a large room and stay fully clothed. So wear a loose tshirt and some shorts. They offer many different packages. Some are more expensive but well worth the price! All of the people working here have been through intense training. I love this place. I hate to share a hidden little gem but this business deserves attention. i used to go to foot palace on Epps Bridge all the time, at least one a month and loved it. all the people there were awesome. Fast forward to their business on Alps in athens totally different story. Price had gone up from $35-$42. Understandable in the last couple of years. The girl I had today was awful! Her hands were so cold and the zero effort that went into it all was unbelievable. I asked her not to touch my hair but she kept on trying. The only redeeming part was the foot massage. They should stick to their name and only do foot massage. They don't flip you over and do anything on your back or neck anymore. Great massage but kind of an odd concept. You keep your clothes on the entire and they basically just massage every area that is not clothed. That being said, it was $40 for 60 mins so a great option for something cheaper and in between full body sessions. I took off a star because you are being massaged in a room with a bunch of other people, which I was not expecting so that kind of threw me off. I received a $60 gift card in late June 2019. The gift certificate expired in a year. No big deal...at the time. Being a teacher and a coach and a mom, I wasn't able to use it in the fall. Still no biggie. I'll use it during spring break. Then we had a pandemic that basically shut down the world at the end of February. My gift certificate expired in the middle of the pandemic, June 2020. Only recently, after receiving my 2nd dose of the vaccine have I felt safe enough to go out and not worry about bringing the virus home to my newborn and toddler. My first excursion out was to The Foot Palace. When I tried to use my gift certificate I was told no way, you have 6 months to use it before it expired. I said but what about the pandemic? Nope. They didn't budge. Didn't even offer me percentage off. They were happy enough to take $60 but didn't honor the certificate that EXPIRED IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. Horrible. Make sure you scan appointment because although they do take walk ins it is definitely a gamble that they will have an opening. The facility is nice and inviting. But had a very disappointing experience.My friend and i wanted an hour foot massage, but due to a computer glitch were only booked for 30 minutes. To top it off, Our appt was at 1130. No one came to get us until 1140. They rushed through the massage, and we were out at 1200. If you count the time we actual got treatment, it was about 15 minutes.I am a hospice nurse and my friend is a graduate student. We rarely take time for ourselves. So disappointed. read more

Let me begin by saying the service was exquisite. My massage therapist was wonderful, and I believe it was a real value. I came away feeling refreshed and invigorated. I only wish I could go back with a good conscience, but I cannot. You see my wife gave me a gift certificate for a one hour massage on Christmas 2019. She also gave my daughter one, and we had planned to do it as a Dad-Daughter day out. We've had some tough family circumstances along with my daughter moving fifty miles away. We have not been able to make that date. Tonight, I found out that my wife had flushed $70 down the toilet, essentially making a donation to the Foot Palace. The gift cards have expired. There was no negotiation. I was told the BS that "all gift cards expire." They were nice enough but no matter how much I loved the service, the ethics of literally taking someone's money and refusing to deliver service, that's a deal-breaker. It's as rude as it is unethical. I am going to pay (again) for my daughter to go, to somehow redeem my wife's wasted Christmas gift, and then we will never deal with the Foot Palace again. They could have had a life-long customer, perhaps two. I assume they don't need my business. read more
