The staff is friendly. Nice selection. I went to the store because I need the wider size, & the machine for the orthopedics. The person who helped me didn't put me on the machine & they did not have my size. Not a big deal but I'm annoyed that they brought shoes out for me to try but not my size. With small fat feet the larger size method doesn't work also wish he would have told me I got excited for nothing. Also annoyed they didn't put me on the machine. I'm not ordering shoes that possibly fit and orthopedics if you're not going to do the work. Yes the machine matters. I've been buying these type of shoes and inserts for years. I ended up not ordering anything due to was not put on machine & the upper size shoe trick turned me off. It felt like guessing. I'm not here for that. I went to this store because I was in pain and in search of MBT shoes. I'd had a pair previously, and it helped me get over some very bad foot pain. I'd gotten rid of that pair years ago because they had served their purpose. So, this store didn't have my size, and I was leaving on an overseas trip the very next day. The owners are medical professionals and told me I had plantar fasciitis. They got me into a really nice shoe with a special arch support and heal lift and instructed me on a couple of stretches to do and how to ice it. My trip overseas wasn't exactly pain-free, but it would have been very painful without their help. I'm very happy to have a new shoe store I can trust. read more

Foot Savvy is under new ownership. I went in to check out their inventory, as the shoe I wanted had an issue with one of the straps. Steve the new owner was extremely helpful, sent the shoes to a cobbler ( at no charge to me). The shoes fit perfectly and I am one happy customer. Went here to try to find shoes for my hard-to-fit feet. I called in advance and spoke with the gentleman (can't recall his name), who asked me many details about my foot situation, but when I got there he was busy with another customer and so I had to go through my entire story again with the lady (both seem to be the owners of the store). This was after waiting nearly ten minutes for the lady to finish with another customer. (It's a tiny store.) The lady measured my feet with a Branson device (which is known to be inaccurate), then brought out shoes for me to try -- in a size 10! I wear a 9, sometimes 9.5 in US sizes, and 40 European. The 10's were a size 42EU. They looked like clown shoes on my feet! I have very wide feet (2E) for a woman, and usually have to buy men's shoes in order to get them to fit. We tried several pairs of Brooks, but all were still too narrow. After exhausting all the women's possibilities, I suggested we try some in men's sizes (which start at D-width), but she just shrugged and said that's all she had. Surely they had some men's shoes -- else why were they on display? The lady seemed totally uninterested in providing any men's shoes for me to try, so I left. I will not be back. read more

Absolutely the best customer service! I called to make an appointment to take my 93 year old dad in. When the owner returned my call, she asked all about what we needed. She then advised they had nothing in stock to meet his needs. She told me the website of an outfit in California that had exactly what he needed, how to measure and which styles to look at. She was more concerned with ensuring my Dad was well fitted and comfortable than making a sale. We will always consider Foot Savvy as our go to place. read more

The owners are professionally certified orthotists. They make sure whatever type of shoe you purchase here fit perfectly. This can take some time and there seems to be just the two of them, so be prepared that you may have to wait a bit if there are other customers ahead of you. I went in with significant foot pain in the bottom of my feet. I admit that I did not own appropriate shoes. I was pretty stressed from having tried to buy shoes at Dardanos and Little Feet. They did not work with me to find a shoe that was good for me. Foot Savvy took time to watch me walk and see that I was struggling. They measured my foot in ways I had not know. They asked me to give them a chance before spending time going to a doctor. They saved me a visit. First, they had me ice my feet, followed by a heating pad, and stretched. They ordered in 4 different pairs of shoes to make sure we got the right fit because my foot is fat. It has been well over a month without any pain in my feet. Tom even taught me how to put my shoes on correctly since I have been sliding in and out my entire life. He showed me a way to tie my shoes which keep my heal from slipping to much. We purchased shoes that did not work well and tried to return them for store credit within the two-week time period allowed. The salesperson suggested we purchase a heel pad, but that made it worse. So we tried to return them again. But were then told that the shoes looked worn and they couldn't resell them (they were worn about two hours total). So the salesperson sold us a pair of socks, which also did not work. A total waste of $200. read more

Initially the lady was helpful, however when I went back in to ask for the name of the style of the shoe (I was looking at the Naot loafers in particular), the saleswoman told me that she wouldn't tell me the style of the shoe and would prefer that I purchase from her. I didn't argue with her because she wasn't worth arguing with. I didn't think that was good service because they charge a bit more for their shoes when their shoes are cheaper elsewhere. I understand they are a small business but that is one sure way to keep customers away if they don't allow a customer to compare. read more
