Very, very bad experience with our salesperson today. I could tell commission was the goal for her. It took 2 1/2 hours to get this visit "done" so we could purchase and leave since the in-between "waits" to try on 1-2 other shoes (a few times) took *MINIMALLY* 20 mins in between.. She showed that the "other people" she needed to serve were going to get the help they asked for but-- when quickly running by us-- she DID NOT LISTEN(!!!) to the requests and would not bring what we asked. It felt like we were annoying to her even though we tried to kindly and humbly relay the incredible need for some help. Definite contrast to my last visit with a difft salesperson -- She gave EFFICIENT help, easy and UNDERSTOOD conversation when she was present and(!) she brought GREAT add-on suggestions (which i purchased!!!) -- Totally different salesperson... The female today was just so frustrating. She took the sample shoes EVERY TIME so the reference to them --or a prices to be known ---became a mystery. I NEVER found the several samples on the salesfloor again(!!!!)-- and THEN we would NOT get the shoes we requested in the first place!!!! Very unusual customer service, to say it lightly. She also repeatedly brought entire sizes bigger--with no verbal relay of this(!)-- (even if that was all that was available) which is horrible to an 83 year old female-- Obviously these were not(!!) to fit at all and a total waste of everyone's time. I never saw again the ONE particular shoe i asked for 3 times.. I think she hid the sample for good. We won't be returning. I think this was our salesperson's goal. read more

We came in to the Colorado Blvd location today to get some shoes for my partner that struggles with her feet. It took a bit for someone to help us because it was super busy but we were happy to wait. Ben was the person to help us out and he was very informative and patient with all of our questions. I never write reviews but I was so disappointed in my visit I felt compelled. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, ready to make a purchase and was greeted with, well, nothing. There were plenty of sales folks, but all seemed completely uninterested in helping. It's true, the woman closest to me was helping someone else and I'm typically a very patient person, but it really seemed like she was ignoring me on purpose. I was there at least 20 minutes and not even a glance, let alone a "hello" or a "we'll be right with you" or anything. I would've waited a hair longer except someone came in after me and was helped immediately. I'm not sure if I just look like I can't afford their shoes, they don't care, or if they are just so oblivious to customers in their store that they can't be bothered to help folks in the order they arrived. Either way, I left feeling incredibly frustrated and they lost a very easy sale. One star seems generous considering I left with nothing. I just purchased the same shoes I was going to get here at the DSW down the street. I was helped immediately, the shoes were cheaper, and they water/stain proofed them for less than $5 extra. After wearing water shoes for the past four year due to their being the only type of shoe that didn't cause my feet severe pain, a dedicated hard-working clerk at Dardano's kept bringing out shoes until she found a pair that FIT. Since this brand is manufactured in Australia, I had never seen it before. True her shoe was too short, but she wrote done pertinent information about the shoe and I found a shoe store in Montana from whom I am now ordering these comfortable shoes. I have a pair of expensive but well-worn boots that I just couldn't part with. Dardano's brought them back to life! They look almost new.They replaced the heels and amazingly cleaned the suede leather. I've worn them 4 years and expect them to last that long again. I have been a loyal customer of this shoe & handbag leather repair shop, since I returned to my home state of Colorado when my dad died in 2021, because my mom raved about it, however the quality of their work has declined dramatically, and their staff lacks proper, polite, and professional customer service. In 2021, I dropped off my Rebecca Minkoff handbag to repair the leather strap that had separated, splitting apart, and to repair a minor scratch on the handbag. When I received it back, it still had tacky, black substance on it, that came off on my clothes, which I wanted to avoid this year, in 2024, yet they did a good job with the repair then, otherwise. Fast forward to 2024, when the issues began. 1) First there was the issue of over promising and under delivering - a big no, no, according to my Nordstrom customer service training at age 16. I understood & forgave the 2-week delay, as it was due to illness. 2) That said, the communication of said delay was also unprofessional, as Ryan Dardano texted me, without informing me who he was, the name of his business, or what the matter he was texting me about was in regards, which is a huge red flag in cybersecurity/fraud, forcing me to call Eric at the store to clarify the matter. 3) When I picked up the purse strap, 2-weeks late, last week, it wasn't edged evenly, and the customer service associate agreed, and apologized profusely. She was lovely! 4) I called the store today, when it was due to be ready a second time, and Crystal - who's allegedly a "manager" - failed to introduce herself with her name (basic phone etiquette), before putting me on hold for almost 5-10 minutes, such that a man named Wesley returned multiple times to check-in with me. When Crystal returned, she was very rude, abrupt, and abrasive, and evaded my question as to if the purse strap was improved on this re-do since last week. She flatly said, "it's the best they can do; it's final". 5) I drove over her tonight, and was greeted by Alex, who I thought was getting my strap from the back for me, only for Crystal to come out, with her ongoing grumpy, dismissive, bad attitude. When I found an obvious paint brush mark / dropping - evidently of the black edging material - she attempted to dismiss my concerns, and push me out of the store so quickly, I wasn't heard, and she didn't even do much as look at the strap, much less listen to my concern, to fix it. She tried pawning me off to "the owners," Ryan & Joe Dardano, then gave me Dillon Dardano's card, while interrupting me, and asking me to shockingly leave the store, instead of solve their issue. This is not proper customer service, and I told her as much. She's clearly untrained. This store is far lower than any similar store in DC or San Francisco, who do this type of work. read more

Dardano's does a wonderful job with modifications to specialty shoes. I had to have a buttress put on the outside of one of my shoes and they did an outstanding awesome job better than anyone I've ever seen very impressed. I placed an order with Dardano's online orthopedic lift service. I sent my shoe in and received it back within a month. However, whoever worked on it needs a lot more practice. Parts of the shoe body were sheared/scraped off and damaged. The cobbler also got it in their mind that the lift needed to be painted to match. Which would be fine except that the paint was applied with very little care and was splashed all over the rest of the shoe. I would have preferred someone call me and ask what color lift I wanted or if I wanted it painted to match. I will not be using this service again. read more

I came in for a pair of shoes with the slightly vague directions of "black, polishable, non-slip." I know nothing about shoes. But Nathan was fantastic and had me try on a few pairs that worked for others going in the same field, at the same time as about 3 other customers. He worked fast and gave great advice, so I didn't end up spending too long in the store at all. I ended up having to return them because my shoe requirements for work changed after purchase, but Lela (I hope this is the correct spelling!) helped me out with just as much in very little time. Had I not inspected my shoes I would've paid for services that were not rendered. The disgruntled man refunds me for the service they didn't completed, but please understand that the point. Recently went in to look for a specific shoe, no one greeted me or asked if I was looking for anything in particular so I walked around aimlessly looking for this shoe. I found the section then had to stop someone working there to ask if they could grab me the shoes to try on. They guy came back later and asked if I needed any help and so I showed him the shoes I was considering trying on next, was not patient once so ever and said he had to leave and help another customer. He never came back and I sat there with the shoe I wanted to try next. I felt some micro aggressions from the employees and reluctance to help so I got up and left. A couple of years ago I bought my wife a couple of pairs of HOKAS and hasn't stopped thanking me for the great support & comfort from this brand...I did a little investigating and to my surprise they offer larger sizes (size 15 or 16 ) depending on the shoe, so we went to the store on S. Colorado Blvd. where a sales person put me in a pair of 16 Bodinis and at 1st felt great but a couple of weeks ago we went to buy my wife another couple of pairs and mentioned to the young man taking care of us (Connor Ryan) that they seemed a little too big and he not only took back the pair that did not fit quite right, with full credit and put me in a pair of the Gaviotas in a 15, better support and way better fit. Connor spent a lot of time with us both and was extremely patient with us both & we could not be more happy!!! Mr. Connor Ryan was one of the best sales persons I've dealt with in years, literally. I have a problem with wearing a hole in my shoes with my big toes and he suggested 2 options one is a service where they install internal toe patches and one was a Big Toe Hole preventer that you install yourself. Great time service and shoes were exactly as I expected. The Hoka tennis shoes were a much better price than anyone in town.

Steve was running around helping multiple customers but he still took the time to check on me. Their annual summer sale was going on and they were busy. Not all their fall items are in so it's a weird in between stage. And I didn't find my size in the styles I wanted. The other location has the size I needed for an open toe shoe style I like. Steve called to make sure and they will be sending the shoes down so I can buy them. The other style I like they can order for me. I'm going to wait and see if I want to order them once I see all the other Fall styles they have coming in. The parking lot is shared by other stores in the strip mall. It can get crowded but today there was space. The store has many different brands but not all of them are comfortable for my feet. Basic adventure to Colorado Blvd to get a pair of all black Hoka One One's Bondi 8's. My old ones are embarrassing and I don't think I could wear them to the gym one more time without being kicked out. I ordered online and the entire process communicated seamlessly. Which is extremely odd and I was expecting to hear back around 5 or not even today. Ordered and paid at 10am and picked up at 1. They take their running shoes seriously as well and that is shown in store by their staff. I'm not sure if they analyze your gait because I was in and out so I quick. The only thing I noticed was one of the people at the front, a male, was really not wanting to accommodate a women's shoe cleaning- seemed like he was just annoyed in general rather than it actually being an issue where they couldn't be cleaned. I am a really overworked person too and I'm sure they're so over shoes but don't project it onto a darling 60 something woman who wants her suede shoes to be steamed. Let them be steamed! read more
