Amy greeted me with a beautiful smile and asked if she could help. She listened and then suggested a few shoes. She patiently helped me try on several pairs. Of course, the pair I found the most comfortable are the most expensive and considering that I am engaged in a physical therapy regimen I decided to ask my therapist for his advice. It is located in a shopping plaza known as Aspen Grove. There are many other stores in this area. Such as Alamo Drafthouse, Claire's, Starbucks, Yankee Candle, Eddie Bauer, GAP, Panera Bread, Noodles & Co, Qdoba, Tattered Cover Bookstore, Ulta, Ted's Montana Grill, Jos A Bank, Chick-fil-A, Banana Republic, etc... to name several. I had gone here to look for some business attire clothing but possibly some jeans too. Being that I am a plus size lady, finding 'the right' clothes can be a challenge. It has always been a personal irk when I hear 'one size fits all'. No two people are the same size. We are all different and unique. The Lane Bryant stores cater to larger size females. I have been shopping at Lane Bryant for years and while I use to love this store, several of the changes I do not. One change I learned was they use to carry shoes but not anymore. I was told due to the demand for activewear, they do not carry shoes anymore. I was told they carry shoes at the Stapleton location, okay fine. I was also informed there is a new rewards program. I may look into the details and seek out more information. The lady shared it is done by email and there is no cost to sign up. I get emails often from Lane Bryant already, not sure why I didn't see any emails regarding the new rewards program. One of the ladies working shared they have new items in for capris. They are stretch material, no zippers or buttons and they even had black along with jean. While looking through the pile folded on the table, every single one was a size 18. I asked the lady why all 6-7 pairs are size 18 and she said that is odd, but they have no control over the shipment that comes in. I think that is a change also. In years past, I was told new shipments with more sizes will be coming. It wasn't shared with me they couldn't control what sizes came in before. Well, that is an issue! Not only for customers like myself, but the employees having to explain that to every customer who asks. Why can't each store manager or supervisor keep track of inventory and when there is a size that is no longer there, document it and let corporate know? I know they keep track of inventory, every place does on some level. Again, another irk. Any place that carries an item and yet every time I visit the establishment, said item is not in stock. It is a good way to get a BAD REVIEW. I also prefer to look professional. The 'relaxed' 'stressed' 'boyfriend' look is not professional. I don't like ripped clothing overall, I think it went out with my teen years. The employee was very helpful with calling several stores to see if they carried this new jean in my size in stock. It turns out the 3-4 she called, NONE had my size. For a new product being offered, Lane Bryant is definitely not staying on top of their inventory. The employee did state that I could pre-order and have it shipped to me (I prefer it shipped to the store and then I pick it up). I have done this many times in the past. However, a very bad experience a few years ago had me not doing anymore pre-orders. I had ordered 3-4 pairs from The Orchard location (144th and I-25) and was never called or emailed or sent a text that the order came in. The shipment was sent back. I was livid! Due to that experience, along with a few other's, I haven't visited the Orchard location in some time. This was my first time visiting Lane Bryant at this location since the start of the pandemic. So while the lady was extremely helpful, she even updated my information and helped with 2 returns (tags still on them, never worn); the store itself needs some work on the inventory. I may try other locations to see what they have for inventory. I'm not wowed yet...
