I'm not a Karen I shop here literally every week for my guinea pigs, my cats, my rabbits, and my dogs. I went home and fed my guineas and rabbit pellets, and there were so many bugs it was okay though I thought if I came back they could just help me out, note, that guinea pigs and rabbits really shouldn't be outdoor, or at least mine are indoor, so imagine an infestation of bugs in my home, but it's okay I caught it quick. I came to return it they said they'll give me another one but it most likely has bugs too. So I asked if I can get another brand, it was 2 dollars more which I didn't have, and I drove there and back, and they laughed at me and said "lol it's not a big deal it has bugs it's protein" and I said I can't just let the bugs in my home can you not please just help me out. They just laughed. It's okay though. I just realized I've been giving my money , when you can just go a couple miles into another city where service will matter. I'm also taking this matter to social media because it's just not right. read more

Amazing people amazing service. I got there for my cat litter and get 40lb of pine pellets for only $10 what a value! Plus they have great a selection on anything pet/domestic animal needs. I definitely recommend getting the duck heads for dogs. It's the only place I can find them. It's a good old fashion hay and feed store with much better service. read more

The bottom line: Foothill Feed came through for my bunnies when Red Barn left me holding bags of, literally, 'rotten' hay and did NOTHING to try to help ensure the bunnies had food. PLEASE READ MY RED BARD REVIEW - IT'S CHILLING... I was told by a Red Barn employee no hay would be delivered until Tuesday, 12-22-20, without exception, though I begged and begged and begged. Are those the words of someone who feels 'more special' than anyone else? Desperate to have edible hay delivered for the bunnies to eat as quickly as possible, I found a resource. Six days with no hay can be very damaging to a bunny's GI. Very stressful, I was able to obtain a temporary fix - a long story no one would find helpful or interesting. Exasperated, I called Foothill Feed and spoke with a man, Mr. Gus. I told him my issue, ad nauseum, because he truly needed to understand my bleak situation. He understood, and Mr. Gus offered a wonderful solution even though delivery was not available until Monday, 12-21-20. Guess what? After a brief call early that day, Mr. Gus took my demographics, expressed delivery would be sometime that day, and he would call me to confirm. He didn't...BUT Mr. Gus did one better; I received a lot of fresh, fragrant, edible hay early afternoon! I was near tears, the customer service was so amazing. Mr. Gus hadn't taken my credit card information during our call earlier, trusting I would make good. He wanted to make sure his hay was up to my and, more importantly, my children's standards. Not many, if any, retailers, would offer such service! When I called to provide credit card information, I told Mr. Gus how pleased my children were with the hay and how they gobbled it as soon as I presented it to them. Foothill Feed now has a long-term customer. I do not feel self-entitled in any way as told to me by Red Barn but circumstances WERE/ARE. This is the major point ignored by Red Barn. Please do yourself a favor...the next time you need something for your furry loved one, call Foothill Feed, and ask for Mr. Gus or Mr. Eli. You will be treated with the respect a retailer should provide but will feel the level of care for your needs without drama. Foothill Feed is AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR YOUR CARE, MR. GUS!!! read more

I have a variety of animals and feed all of them Alfalfa. My more recent purchases have been pretty crappy. The hay itself was ok but there was trash, cigarettes, dirt clods , many biting insects and the bales were so loosely packed they were merely a heap with strings on it. I complained after this last load. The owner stood behind his policy of customer service and exchanged my bales. It was above and beyond because I am outside their delivery zone. So they performed above and beyond. The driver was very pleasant and said that Foothill is dropping that substandard supplier. Thank you so much. read more

Poor customer service and moldy hay. Bought 5 bales of timothy hay. 2 bales were moldy on the inside so not found until fed. Tried to exchange them. Employees wete afraid of the owner and refused to replace anything because we didnt have the full bales. read more

2 different horse owning friends recommended this place for hay. Been to Coopers, Fox, East Valley & Kahoots - all gave me horrible hay (#1 so they said). I was tired of my horse tossing that stuff all over the place and throwing my money in the trash. Finally came here and WOW what a difference!! The hay was GREEN and had leaves!!! Haven't seen nice hay like this in years. Never going back to the dry, brown, dirt filled crappy hay I'd been sold for $20 a bale.
