However when she met SAGE they immediately became friends. She went through the grooming process with flying colors!! She now looks like she's confident and happy!! Sage has an excellent eye for detail and a very loving heart for all of the clients that enter the salon. Sage is now my dogs groomer for life!! I had a very disappointing experience with Petsmart grooming. They told me my Persian cat, Coco, was "aggressive," but they failed to mention that they cut his foot and made him bleed during the grooming. I only discovered the injury when he got home, which was extremely upsetting. I later took Coco to a professional cat grooming salon, and they told me he was one of the sweetest and calmest cats they've ever worked with--which is exactly his personality. So the claim that he was aggressive was inaccurate and felt like an excuse. Not informing a pet owner about an injury is unprofessional and unacceptable. I trust groomers with my pet's safety, and transparency is the bare minimum. I will definitely never return and would not recommend Petsmart grooming for cats. read more

Hector is horrible I don't know who hired this asshole . Today I came in to get spray for fleas for my dog I sprayed a little in my hand to make sure my dog wasn't allergic he came up to me and to stop spraying in the store which I wasn't then he proceeded to harass me and follow me around the store and every isle and standing and staring at me when I wasn't spraying just continuing to shop for my dog when I was walking. I noticed my dog had some dirt on his fur, so I was rubbing him to get it off of him. He hector came up to me and said that I was taking out fleas and spreading them around his throat, which is very much hurtful and incorrect, then proceeded to kick me out of the store very rudely when all I wanted to do was pay for my items when he kicked me out of the store I put my items on the aisle and he laughed in my face and said I knew you weren't gonna pay for it that made me feel like he was very racist because I don't understand why he thinks that I wouldn't pay for it. He was screaming at me in front of all the customers making me look crazy just because I asked to buy my stuff. He told me that he'll check me out. I had a disappointing experience at the Petco in Van Nuys, specifically with a supervisor named Giselle, who was working as a cashier during my visit. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude and dismissive, both in her tone and attitude, while completing a basic transaction. As a supervisor, I expected a higher level of professionalism and courtesy, but instead, I felt disrespected for simply asking a question about my purchase. Customer service matters, especially in a pet store where people are coming in to care for animals they love. I hope Petco provides proper training on how to interact respectfully with customers--especially for those in leadership roles. I'll think twice before returning to this location. read more

I love this retailer. Very comparable to Petco but a little less expensive and usually found in lower income but up and coming neighborhoods for convenience. I can usually find exactly what I need and then some. I would recommend checking them out. read more

We have been bringing our pups to this place for nail trims. Strangely enough, whenever we arrive for drop in service the groomer goes on break. ? We can't make an appointment for a nail trim, but they can't accomodate us. They only have one groomer working at a time. If they ever get staffed again, maybe we'll come back. read more

My little one volunteered to bring little fish to her class for the fish tank. We went to PetSmart and unfortunately there were two fish tank completely neglected. When I asked the workers what was going on? They said they put a work order two weeks ago and PetSmart said they'd have to buy a replacement for the filtration . I'm sorry but WHAT?? I usually but my dogs food and kittens things at PS and it is always clean and helpful. . Today they picked an amazing rescue give tons things to. And they filled up six bags of donated stuffed animals and sent with the rescue. The rescue gave to my school and over 200 of our 600 kids got stuffed animals today. Unprofessional!! This pet salon refuse to groom a front left leg paralyzed dog!! I made appointment for my little pomeranian on 12/01 at 11 am with Casey A, the groomer. I tried to ignore that she pulled my dog so hard to have her walked (other groomers hold her). Once she saw that my dog had one leg paralyzed, she called the manager in and the manager told me to take my dog home because Casey was not at comfort to groom her. The manager asked me if she can stand for 5 minutes. Of course!! She can stand, walk, or even run with her 3 legs. But they insisted that I would not groom my dog, and asked me if I wanted to make new appointment with other groomer who used to groom her. The answer is NO and WILL NEVER COME BACK!!! As a pet's parent, this really hurt me. I brought my dog here so many times, no one had problem about her physical issue. Petsmart should hire a care and professional groomers. A lot of complaints about pet salon, but they did not seem to care. read more

This location does honor chewy price matching. Twice I've tried to buy Instant Ocean products and Tetra products for my reef tanks, chewy has them for 50% or more less then this place. Not on clearance, just chewy has amazing prices compared to here. The bald dude that's all tatted up has said BOTH TIMES that they don't do price match. The first time I was in a rush and let it slide, he was at the register. Second time, I asked the lady at the register and he came out all the way from the back to tell me they don't price match chewy. A simple google search says they do. The 5 stars is from the customer service my partner and I received from Daniela. We got a bearded dragon and she helped us so willingly. She also has a reptile so she seemed very knowledgeable on how to take care of it. Daniela also gave us time to decide which bearded dragon we wanted and also gave us input on which one she liked. Again, the service was amazing and I must extend my gratitude. My little family came in today for their spooky event. Everyone once again is so welcoming, easy to talk to, greets you with a smile and is just plain awesome! I was worried my little rat would be scared of the costume. ( see new photo attached of my rat and this awesome person, sorry I forgot your names.) But once this rad person came out in the dog costume he went wild. His reaction and everyones reaction really warmed my heart. They were so happy to go out of their way and make this little guy's day! I clearly saw that they had to put on the suite, get the little area ready for a little photo op, basically put it all together just for us. (This was done in no time I might add!) That was beyond nice, words can't really explain how happy that made me. Mind you we don't have kids yet so our furry chaka-chuki is our baby. I can't wait to print the photo out and frame it. I got my first aquarium and had no idea what to do. I bought water conditioners, bacteria starters and my water was never ready for fish. Eddy helped me and he really knows his info on fish. I wouldn't trust anybody with help and aquariums except him because a lot of people gave me different information but Eddy gave me clear and concise instructions so now my fish are happy in their aquarium. This PetSmart is difficult to get to. It's in the center of a really busy small city. You can only catch the main street to get here and it's just not worth all the traffic. This is probably why it's usually never too busy. Don't let the lack of parking fool you. You can come in pretty quickly after beating the street traffic. Grooming is a good service and the price is reasonable. I usually go when I receive a discount because the add ons can get expensive. As I groomer I don't think it's nice to say remarks about the dogs infront of the owner but she did anyways. I work in production all over the country and take my two dogs with me - so using a chain is just easier for grooming. (I am based out of LA). Had never been to the pets mart in van nuts but they had an opening before the holiday weekend so thought I'd give them a whirl. Ended up getting up sold to the summer package due to the fact that a coupon book worth $200 came with it. When I went to pick the dog up - they didn't give me the book and I didn't realize until I get home. Called the store. Was told to come back the next day to pick it up. Drive back to van nuys and today - no book. They ran out. And apparently have been out for some time. The manager was zero help. I was like - "do you know how much gas is?????" He offered to give me $10 off a toy or treat if I wanted to purchase something else. This experience will make me find a small business / independent salon to get my dogs groomed - wherever I am. My hope is that the small business owner will care more about customer service which seems to have evaporated with big box stores/ chains. So basically train you employees to get people to spend more money - then don't fulfill the deal they offered you. I am going to writing a formal complaint to their corporate office. Finally!!!! I've been waiting since November 2015 for this place to open. Saw other Yelpers reviews that it was finally open so I decided to stop by after work. Location-wise I love it since it's much closer to me than the one in Sherman Oaks or Canoga Park. Those of you familiar with "The Plant" know there's tons of parking so this is not an issue. At least for now since the new buildings haven't opened up yet. The store it's self is pretty tiny. I was still able to find what I needed, thank goodness. Pro's: conveniently located in the middle of Panorama City. Lots of parking. They carry dog, cat, and reptile supplies. They sell freshwater fish/feeder fish, crickets, and they had a section for live animals but I didn't actually see anything in there. Staff is friendly. Clean. Con's: it's a much smaller location so they may not carry the exact same things they do at the full size location. read more

I came here for the first time for grooming for my husky malamute mix! And boy was i in for a shock!! Best customer service ever! They were super nice but the grooming manager Vik went all out helping me and explaining to me about my dogs shedding problem! I got the Furminator plus package it was about 65 dollars super cheap for what i would usually pay! I would pay 95 to 120 at other places! When I picked up my dog was super happy looked great and smelled AMAZING!! If i would go somewhere to get my husky groomed its with Vik! This review is for the grooming salon. Worst customer service EVER. Twice, they haven't had someone scheduled for my appointments. The first time, they sent their people out for training (which is great) but forgot to schedule someone for my 9am appointment! The second time, I booked a 8am appointment online and when I got there, there was no one to do my dog's grooming. Apparently they schedule their people for appointments starting at 10. So why did no one check to make sure the earlier time slots were closed for booking?? Probably because they don't check the next day's appointments before hand. Both times I even got confirmation texts for my appointments!!! Then today I had an appointment at 230pm (I started booking later times just to be safe) and again, my appointment was cancelled! All they could offer was A POSSIBLE bath during my time slot. If I needed just a bath, I'd do it myself. I booked this appointment so far in advance because I knew that I needed it done by a certain date and appointment slots were filling up fast. The next available time they could offer me was IN TWO WEEKS! Honestly, if you can semi-cut your dog's hair, just do it yourself since this place is horrible with appointments. The only reason we would continue to cut here is because Alondra was my dog's groomer when we would go to the Sherman oaks location and she's amazing. Definitely not worth the hassle though. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and you should too. read more
