PLEASE READ MY RED BARD REVIEW - IT'S CHILLING... I was told by a Red Barn employee no hay would be delivered until Tuesday, 12-22-20, without exception, though I begged and begged and begged. Are those the words of someone who feels 'more special' than anyone else? Desperate to have edible hay delivered for the bunnies to eat as quickly as possible, I found a resource. Six days with no hay can be very damaging to a bunny's GI. Very stressful, I was able to obtain a temporary fix - a long story no one would find helpful or interesting. Exasperated, I called Foothill Feed and spoke with a man, Mr. Gus. I told him my issue, ad nauseum, because he truly needed to understand my bleak situation. He understood, and Mr. Gus offered a wonderful solution even though delivery was not available until Monday, 12-21-20. Guess what? After a brief call early that day, Mr. Gus took my demographics, expressed delivery would be sometime that day, and he would call me to confirm. He didn't...BUT Mr. Gus did one better; I received a lot of fresh, fragrant, edible hay early afternoon! I was near tears, the customer service was so amazing. Mr. Gus hadn't taken my credit card information during our call earlier, trusting I would make good. He wanted to make sure his hay was up to my and, more importantly, my children's standards. Not many, if any, retailers, would offer such service! When I called to provide credit card information, I told Mr. Gus how pleased my children were with the hay and how they gobbled it as soon as I presented it to them. Foothill Feed now has a long-term customer. I do not feel self-entitled in any way as told to me by Red Barn but circumstances WERE/ARE. This is the major point ignored by Red Barn. Please do yourself a favor...the next time you need something for your furry loved one, call Foothill Feed, and ask for Mr. Gus or Mr. Eli. What makes this even more concerning is that I clearly explained to your staff that my dog is dealing with irritated anal glands and needs to be seen as soon as possible. Despite this, we have been repeatedly rescheduled with no urgency or accountability. At this point, being pushed out to Sunday, May 10 is completely unacceptable. This pattern of disorganization and lack of professionalism is extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable for a company like Petco. This is not okay. If you know Frenchies, you know they are basically short haired bratty toddlers with attitude. My three are a force to be reckoned with, small but mighty and a tight little pack. When we walked in, I noticed it is a smaller space, but I was not there for merchandise. I wanted groomers who actually understand the Frenchie breed and their personalities. We were greeted by a very sweet girl who explained the basic package and immediately made me feel more comfortable when she mentioned they specialize in Frenchies. The prices were a bit on the higher side, but I never judge solely on price. I wait to see the results. A few hours later, we got the call to pick them up and were greeted by the owner, Jr. He was incredibly nice and let me know one of my kids was not a fan of the crate. I instantly knew he meant my oldest, Ruby. The other two were totally fine, of course. When he brought them out, wow. They looked amazing. And let's talk about the smell. You know that weird wet dog but covered with perfume scent some groomers send your pup home with? Yeah, none of that. These babies smelled so good. Like they might actually be allowed to step out of the Camry and into mama's Lexus! . Naaaah, probably not but still smelled soooo good! Overall, we had a great experience.
