I'm from the Bay Area, and every time I'm in Sylmar, I make it a point to stop by this nursery, it's that good. They have an incredible selection of healthy, well-cared-for plants at super reasonable prices. I'm especially impressed with the variety of rare tropicals like Alocasia and Anthurium! Some of these plants that are hard to find or usually overpriced elsewhere. The staff here are genuinely kind and passionate, and Yolanda in particular was amazing. She went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for, offering great tips on care and placement. She even walked me around to make sure I didn't miss anything and let me take my time without feeling rushed. If you love plants, this place is absolutely worth the visit. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back!

I became a plant aficionado this year in January. I have visited a lot of nurseries in the San Fernando Valley. Q drumroll music....... This nursery takes the Oscar for being the best nursery in the Valley. Excellent service and excellent value. Love the employees and owners.

I absolutely love this place, it's like a hidden gem. The prices are FANTASTIC, the plants and trees are kept clean without a need to remove fertilizer stains after purchase, and staff is incredibly knowledgable and hardworking, particularly Regina and Yolanda, their work ethic is truly exceptional. Highly recommend taking your business here

Not hard to find this garden nursery. Parking was easy. There was just 2 other customers there when we arrived. They were mostly Spanish speaking so I am thinking all these negative reviews are leaning towards the lack of communication. But my hubbs and daughter speak fluent Spanish so they were able to conversate very well. I understand but can't speak fast enough. Lol The selection was very very limited. One green house was open. Potting area was also open. Ended up purchasing a ficus elastica and a bird of paradise. Prices were reasonably affordable! Was hoping to purchase string of pearls but a staff member recommended we come back at a later time since they haven't completely rooted yet. We really appreciate the recommendation. Her honesty is exactly why we enjoyed our visit. The woman in the office wasn't too pleasant but the staff working the greenhouses is why I'm giving 5 stars! Because of them, my family will drive 3 hours to come back when there is a larger selection! Tysm!

Overall prices are good. Depending on the size/plant they can be $1 to $15 cheaper than HD, Lowe's or lower priced plant shops around Los Angeles. There was an older Hispanic lady helping me who was extremely kind and sweet. She was definitely well liked by customers as they would all greet her with joy. Unfortunately she's not the most knowledgeable about the prices, which is a huge negative about this place, no prices on 99% of there stuff. There was a clearance section that had prices, but that was about it. Everything, except for the 2 clearance plants I got, rung up higher. 2 plants I was told was $13.50 turned out to be $18, plus $1 to $2 more on the others. The lady writing up the receipt could care less about customer service or honoring the prices told to the customer. It's a shame this business has been here as long as it has and they can't take the time to make signs for prices or figure a system that will work for their customers.

The good- great variety of plants and sizes The so-so- little bit overpriced The bad- geriatric guy who I presume is the owner? What a rude and unpleasant guy. Will I come again? Probably- it is the only indoor nursery around.

Hi! Is there any sort of "plant hospital" service here? I have a good collection of houseplants and they need a soil refresh or a pot upgrade. I would like to avoid having to buy huge bags of soil and supplies. Just curious!

Hi Amanda sorry we dont have anyone here to do that service Thank you

I've been wanting to purchase a watermelon peperomia and I've seen a person post a picture of it a month ago. I went to the nursery and didn't see any. Does anyone know when they get new shipments?

Hi we will get in again

There's promotions on their website & social media pages about a Memorial Day sale this weekend…read more(25% off). I showed up at their opening hours & was told to wait because they weren't ready. Totally get it. After walking in, I decided to move away from the few people already hovering over certain plants. But was then told the section I was in wasn't open or not for sale? Not sure. From my understanding only 1 & a half rows inside of the greenhouse were actually for sale. It's misleading, expensive & and an awkward experience (1st time here). The plants are not cheap. I went to Home Depot after & the plant in the picture was $25, whereas the same plant here was $15 before the sale for something waaaaaaay smaller. This is prob the place if you're looking for a very specific or rare cactus/succulent. I don't think I'll be back.

The warehouse is quite large but not all the plants are for sale as they use them for propagation. I don't have the greenest of thumbs and am not the most educated plant enthusiast, but many plants are not your run of the mill succulent you find at Home Depot, and prices reflect that. The staff are quite friendly and helpful and it was a fun weekend outing plus the dog (yes they are dog friendly).

Been to this nursery 4x before deciding to purchase an Olive Tree. Their worker Keith told us…read moremultiple times that the olive I was looking at would cost $800 alone or $1200 with delivery and install. Went back a week later and the manager working there states the tree is now "1500" at its lowest without delivery or install. Not to mention, the manager had a horrible attitude treating us as if we didn't know what we are talking about when we have years of landscape experience when designing our developments. I have been to 20 nurseries all across Los Angeles and these "Wilsoni" Olive at 7 ft cost between $450-650 without delivery. The manager then turns around and says "you must have not been to Moon Valley" trying to say their prices are so much cheaper when in reality their place is a rip off and Moon Valley is the rip off or rip offs. ALSO, when purchasing from them make sure to check the trees. The Standard Groups olive trees had major scale infection (black bumps fully covering branches), peacock spots on the leaves which you can tell when the yellow leaves have brown circles at the tips or in them, and a good majority of the leaves had bite marks from an infestation. You would think if they're charging a premium they'd at least have healthy trees. I will be going elsewhere to give my business to more knowledgeable, kind, and correctly priced for their quality businesses.
