This place is red flag city and has a weird, unprofessional vibe. When I called to make a new patient appointment--a standard routine at any other medical office--the stammering person with who answered said he needed to see if someone who did new patient appointments was available and placed me on hold. (Why is someone who doesn't do this answer the phone at all?) He came back and said no one was there and I needed to wait for someone to call me back. That someone had an almost incomprehensibly thick accent and did not seem to understand all I was saying--there was a significant interference with clear communication. Whatever, I figured let it go and I made the appointment, but I definitely was left feeling less than confident. Red flag #1. Then days before my appointment, I am sent what is a freaking masters degree thesis of a questionnaire/registration form: it had to be 18-20 digital pages. Okaaaay, fine, I filled out the typical medical history stuff, which got more and more detailed and intrusive, but then came alllllk the pages about mental health (suicide, depression, ADHD, etc. questionnaires and family histories--but ALSO very personal questions about trauma, even asking about sexual abuse as a child). And then came alllllllllll the pages about pain medication use (what do I take now, who prescribed it, for how long, how bad was my pain at its worst yesterday, at its best yesterday, how is my pain now, how much does my current medication help, how long does it last, how effective is it overall, and so much more), THEN came all the forms to sign about opioid/opiate use plus all the questions about drug use--I can't begin to remember them all. I became more and more agitated filling the form out, but FINE, it's done, maybe all of this info will help guide treatment, but Red Flag #2. Then today, my appointment time finally arrives and my husband accompanied me as he usually does to new appointments. I will say the building itself and its location added to the sketchy vibe, but I still put that aside to just go with it. I have a very complicated medical history (including but farrrr from limited to 2 back surgeries and brain surgery) with many overlapping conditions related to those surgeries (as well as unrelated), and my husband is both my support and my advocate. But as I was waiting to check in, I saw a sign posted that as of 7/1/26, only the patient is allowed in exam rooms and not support/advocates/partners. I have never seen this policy anywhere --and I regularly see 7 specialists, and saw dozens during my pre brain surgery years. I understand the practice of disallowing other people for *procedures* and things like echocardiogram/tests, but those are instances where there is no real exam or doctor interaction, so having another set of ears isn't really necessary. But exam rooms? When we asked why, the receptionist said it was because some accompanying people have been combative/aggressive. So...have a policy where such behavior gets them and/or the patient removed from the building, or disallowed from coming back, but to ban ALL others? And to not have it anywhere in any of that mountain of intake paperwork, or anywhere in the texts, or any other notice at all? No exceptions? (We asked.) Forget it. Red flag #3, you're out. We canceled the appointment, turned around, and went out the door. I will be calling to make sure my cancellation reason is noted, and not just "patient cancelled," in my file. In summary, my experience left me without confidence in this practice, to say the least. None of the issues in and of themselves would have dissuaded me if they were the only ones, but the combination of them and the no additional person policy was the nail in the coffin. I recognize medical practices are free to have the policies they choose, but in light of everything j am not comfortable establishing care here and will look elsewhere for pain management. read more

I'm not even sure where to begin. I've been visiting this facility in Covina for about two years. Last week, I experienced severe muscle spasms in my mid-back and called to see if they could fit me in. Unfortunately, they said no, and even after calling back over the next few days, I still couldn't get an appointment. Hoping for a walk-in, I showed up on Tuesday, July 14th at 2:30 pm; with only one person in the waiting area, I thought my chances were good. However, the receptionist told me they couldn't accommodate me. I asked them to check with the PA on duty, Johana, to see if an exception could be made. I watched as the receptionist spoke to Johana at the check-out counter, deliberately blocking my view. The receptionist returned and said I would need to wait for my scheduled appointment two days later. When Friday arrived, I met with Austin and shared my experience. Instead of addressing my concerns, Austin dismissed it and simply asked how they could help me now. Previously, I preferred seeing Austin because I felt they genuinely cared, but that was not the case this time. I am deeply disappointed with this office and have already contacted my provider to request care from another facility. If you're seeking a medical doctor who truly cares about your well-being, I would not recommend this place. As a side note to the sloppy looking receptionist, your unprofessional behavior--including flipping me off when you were holding the iPad--did not go unnoticed and should be addressed. This place is a dump and dirty. You see it from the moment you pull in and park in the dirty parking lot in the back. Then you see a neglected building needing repair and paint. Finally, you walk, or limp, inside and are greeted with unfinished boards laying on the ground behind the seats, to a cheesy plastic undecorated Christmas tree (in June!). Their exam tables are janky in need of repair and reupholstery. The staff is rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. During "procedure day," Dr. Mehta runs a production line, yelling and screaming at the staff to hurry up so he can make a buck. The male nurse spends more time flirting with the staff than tending to the patients. I've been here several times because I have no choice. Never again! Now today I had my second spinal epidural and the doctor took over. Had to wait months to get appointments. Had to go the Covina office because that was the soonest appointment. What a sh-t hole! Back door open loud music to the point they can't hear you if you had a problem. No printed after care instructions. Not even sure what they told me because I was in so much pain. First visit I was pretty satisfied. They asked a lot of questions. They talked me into a epidural. The procedure went fine but I did not get any relief. The procedure did seem like a assembly line where they rushed you in and out and on to the next patient. I followed up with my neurologist. He ordered a date for spinal fusion and stated no more epidurals. I went back to Foothill Pain Management looking for relief until my surgery. They were pushing very hard to do more epidurals. I said no and was asking for some pain meds until my surgery date. The Doctor became annoyed and stated "We don't do pills, we do shots". I am not and have never been a drug addict, answered all of their questionnaires and provided a urine sample. Why the urine sample if they did not prescribe pills? I'm thinking to pad the insurance billing. I think they make more money on epidurals then writing prescriptions. I feel it was very obvious that they could care less about my pain. read more

I've been going there for 7 years and the staff and rn's have all been doing the absolute best they can under the circumstances, they are also victims of Dr.Mehta's wild mood swings and absolute disregard of patent conditions. You will hear exactly what to expect eventually from a visit with him, he had just finished bickering with a female employee for an hour about door locks and her getting sexual harassed and he kept telling her repeatedly to go get food because that must be the cause of her irrationally! I was his next patent and I knew I was screwed, in the video he is grilling me about "why I'm I seeing you still??why this and that??? He literally his no idea of my condition!! 7 freeken years!!! Failed spinal fusion L5 S1 no disk there!!! And now trying too deal with Throat cancer!!! In video he can't care less. He says get more pain meds from throat dr.! About 18 months-2 years ago I left a poor review in regards to foothill pain management. My chief complaint was getting paperwork needed for workers comp. I left a review about Dr. METHA on vitals. Basically complaining on trying to expand to quickly without due care for his patients. I had made complaints, like others with the office managers, PA OR RNPS, and even Dr. Metha. I was not the only one complaining and neither for the most part, his employees and other patients were in agreement. Since then, Dr Metha has been down right rude and condensending. Last month in his Covina office, he again was rude. He called me a criminal and compared me to a police officer recently convicted of murder in Minneapolis. I recorded all this. I asked him if he was comparing me to a murderer, with no basis? He said yes. By the way, I've never been arrested and was 30 year, honorably retired police officer. Rita and the staff at Pomona are outstanding. A lot of improvements have been made. read more

I am not going to lie, I was skeptical prior to my first visit because of the negative reviews I came across online. During my first visit, I was waiting and waiting for an experience like the ones I read online, but instead I was welcomed and taken cared of. I feel like this office can be a little loud because every person working there is like a huge family, they come off very welcoming. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. Each and every person make you feel secure and allow you to trust the process of finding a pain management plan that will work for you! I got my procedure done today, I was very anxious, but they made me feel comfortable. Quite frankly, I feel I made it harder on the staff with my anxious self and 100 questions. If you want to fight for your well being then this is the place for you. I'm so sick and tired of the way I'm being treated as a patient by these so called health care providers. I'm not going to go into every detail of how unprofessional and uncaring this place is but let me point out the two major issues. I had a procedure for a epidural shot and was told that right after the procedure is done I should go to physical therapy to help with my recovery. The day after my procedure I call to make an appointment with the PT and the request was never put in to my insurance. When I called this office to see why that was, no answer. I have two herniated disks and anyone with this similar condition knows how mind numbing this pain can be. So getting on the phone and having to jump hoops just to get the help I was told I was going to be given is not very ideal, I should be resting. So I decided to be patient and wait until my follow up appointment to mention it. When I told the PA-C all he did was make unnecessary comments and excuses about the doctor and didn't seem to empathize with me at all. Now fast forward to my appointment with the PA-C he suggested I receive a different shot to help with the pain I'm still experiencing. He scheduled it 2 1/2 weeks out. That was on a Monday. I called the office on Thursday in agony pain asking if I can please get the shot done sooner. Hoping maybe someone would empathize with me seeing how I've been in this pain for going on 2 months now. The person I spoke to told me they didn't even put the request in for my insurance to approve it. He goes on by telling me that they are going to submit it that same day and that there's no way I could get a sooner appointment cuz it takes about 8 days for it to get approved anyway. Seriously! Adding insult to injury? I know for a fact that it takes 24 hours to get an approval. I've been on the phone with my insurance way to many times to know that process is quick. It's nothing but excuses and lies that come out of this office. I just don't understand why anyone is in the health care field when they clearly just show that they're only there to punch in and out. Perhaps find a new profession. This is people's well being and lives at hand. Would it kill you guys to show empathy and compassion to your patients? If I wasn't in such a state of emergency I'd be doing my own research in finding an office that actually cares to help unwell individuals. read more

This office and all the other foothill pain mgmt. clinics suck big time. They never ever answer the phones and then if it does get answered it goes to voice mail and then the voice mail says mailbox full you will have to call back. Now mind you I have called this clinic for over 15 times and the says thing every time. Even the Walgreens could not get a hold of them. I really feel sorry for anyone who really needs to talk to someone at this clinic. I literally had to drive to the clinic to talk to someone in the office to make an appointment. Then when I got to the Walgreens, they needed the dr office to call them because they were unable to get a hold of them to confirm that this is a legit prescription. So I drove to the clinic and talked to a nurse, and she said she will take care of this and it was still not done after several calls to the Walgreens. Mind you it has been 4 1/2 hours later. This is the worse place I have been to for any care.In fact, sometimes you wonder if they care more about themselves then the patient.The staff at the front desk has no idea on how to do a medical job to keep your information private.Having you give out your personal information in front of any and all other patients in the office and talking loud enough for all to hear and if they wanted to get your information,it would be as easy as writing all information down on a piece of paper.I myself have gotten reports from the office from past visits and noticed that they had filled out sections on their reports that they conducted test and all were normal,"false"!!!!! I refuse to go back , I was in a terrible accident that left me disable and in pain .I was told by Ann the office worker that I was a lier and accused of buying pills off the books with a pharmacist at cvs . I can't believe I was accused of this during all my pain , they left me without any medication for 5days and in thoses days ANN wasn't helping . I honestly can say i hate this clinic this doctor diagnosed me with severe chronic pain taking medication ever since last may 2021. Now over a year of me being there i have always problems with my prescription. They automatically stop answering phones 20 mins before office is suppose to close. And when I finally get an answer all they say that they will send it in i have gone 11 days in pain waiting for my meds and still no answer. I would never ever recommend this bull Dr that has never even offered me different resources like therapy or so now i might end up having surgery in my back again thanks to poor care and always changing me Drs but yet again I'm hardly ever seen him now that i think of it. read more

This man I will not call him a doctor. I agree with all the other negetive remarks. This man has a mental illness first of all the medical assistant lied on my notes saying how I got hurt. The doctor never read the notes he came in with a straight attitude. He had me in tears the way he was talking to me. He wanted to inject me with needles when I told him I don't do needles. His reply to me was that I was a pill popper. Told his assistant to write I refused treatment. I asked for Pt and pain cream. The doctor needs treatment his self. They all lie for each other. I've been coming here for about 2 yrs. when I came for the first visit I was in a tremendous amount of pain. Dr. Send me to get an MRI. I was so disappointed. I needed relieve right away since he was my last shot since I kept getting sent from Dr to Dr with no relieve. He explained the process and I knew it sounded right but wanted relief right away. After the MRI was completed and he was able to determine the best treatment for me I am 110% on board. Dr Mehta is amazing. His staff is great and PA Joanna is heaven sent. Not only did the help me with my neck pain but have made my chronic pain from fibromyalgia bearable. I would recommend him again and again.
