It's too complicated to get an appointment. First they want doctors' notes from previous doctors, as if they can't make an independent assessment of their own, or order diagnostic testing themselves. Then they need to have the ID sent electronically to verify insurance, or you have to bring it in first before an appointment can be scheduled. The service might be great, that I don't know and it's hard enough going to the doctor, but have to go in to take them your ID and then still wait for an appointment. That's just way too much.! After the usual 10-15 minutes of paperwork the doctor came out and said hello and would be with me soon. I was very impressed with the simple explain actions and answers to my questions. Most doctors want you to know they are in charge and never question them. That was not the case here. He made some recommendations and explained the process very well. I've been seeing Dr. Nazih Iskander at HASS Pain Management for acupuncture to treat my chronic daily migraines (I was diagnosed over 20 years ago) as well as severe back pain, and my experience has been exceptional. I broke my back about 15 years ago, and unfortunately my pain never truly decreased afterward. I've pursued extensive treatment over the years, including physical therapy and consistent core strengthening, yet continued to experience significant daily pain, especially when sitting, standing, or lying down for too long. At my first appointment, I only mentioned migraines and back pain because I'm used to doctors focusing on one issue at a time. Instead, Dr. Nazih took the time to go over ALL of my pain concerns. I felt genuinely heard and understood, which is rare and incredibly meaningful as a chronic pain patient. He performed a brief diagnostic evaluation and identified that a large portion of my migraine pain was related to sinus pressure, something no provider had ever previously recognized. I had never tried acupuncture before and wasn't sure what to expect. During my first treatment, I remember feeling a distinct sensation in my hand followed by a noticeable relief from the migraine I had that day. I knew he was preparing my skin, but I hadn't even realized the treatment had started, which made the immediate relief all the more encouraging. I know it's not a placebo effect. For my back pain, the improvement has also been remarkable. Greedy, Greedy, Greedy and opportunistic. I was involved in a car accident and after 2 months of chiropractic and then an MRI, coming to Hass pain management was a last resort. I had only 5 visits after I decided to cut it short since I felt no improvements. The acupuncture treatments did not work and only confirmed my doubts that it doesn't work. It was a waste of my time. I had a personal injury case and when it was time to negotiate the bill I found out that Hass Pain Management was charging me the most out of all the other medical parties and they're the ones who did the least. I went to the chiro for over two months 3 times a week for an hour per visit and their team consisted of the Chiro and his two medical assistants and they only billed me $2500, but this place I only visited 5 times for 30 min each visit. The doctor only asked me a few questions put some acupuncture on my ear and left me in the room alone telling me to just sit down and do nothing for 20-30 min and they had the audacity to originally bill me $5823. When my attorneys went back to re-negotiate the doctor had the nerve to only reduce the bill by $250 pathetic. From the moment they realized this was a personal injury case they saw money signs and knew they were going to take advantage of the situation and jump at the opportunity of over charging. I took time out of my day from work where I could have been making much needed money to support my family and was counting on my settlement money to help with bills that had accumulated from all the work I had miss, only so this place could be greedy opportunist and over charge me for some bs acupuncture that doesn't work smfh. To make things worst when I asked for the itemized bill they don't even specify what they're billing you for. It just has the date of the visit and the amount I was billed but it doesn't specify what I was charged for. There's two visits where I was charged $1978 one time and $1050 another time. When I called to speak to the doctor or someone in charged to explain to me the breakdown I couldn't even get a simple response. The Office Manager was dismissive and rude hurrying me off the phone. Just terrible customer service. No professionalism, no empathy, no sympathy or understanding. For someone being in a managerial position is your duty to deescalate a situation, try your best to find a solution and help answer any questions but this Office Manager did neither she was just ready to get me off the phone and tell me to speak to my lawyers. Just a terrible experience and caused me more pain mentally and emotionally than it did any help. Taking food out of my family mouth since they want to be greedy opportunist. read more
