Dr. Garner is the best dentist in this town in my experience. He identified rot under a crown and fixed it immediately. I was so concerned with losing my last molar in this area, that I wouldn't be able to eat. His expert attention and skill saved my tooth. I am over the moon. If you are tired of the bad dental in Yuma, you have another option. The entire staff is VERY friendly and helpful. They gave me an appointment the following week which is also unheard of in this town. Normally, you have to wait several months for a new patient. EXCELLENT care. I give it TEN stars.

I got a different hygienist. I asked her to clean my teeth manually because the sonic cleaner vibrates on my nerves and makes me jump in the chair. She seemed very put out by my request so I said I could reschedule with someone else. She reluctantly did the cleaning. My mouth was very sore for a week and I received a letter from the dentist personally telling me I had been disrespectful and not to come back. This was an unexpected surprise and highly unprofessional.

She needed a deep cleaning that needed to be done in two sessions taking an hour each and cost $500 each. Sounded like a lot but they seemed to be caring and we assumed it would be done by a dentist not just a hygienist so we made an appointment. The morning of her appointment they called to say they could do both bottom and top the same day. She responded that she had an appointment an hour and a half after her appointment with them so that wouldn't work out. They said they could get both done in an hour. So here's the rub. Basic cleaning takes an hour and is done by a hygienist and costs under $100. Turns out the deep cleaning was done by a hygienist, not a dentist, takes an hour and costs $500. If you do both at the same time, it takes an hour and costs $1,000. They referred her to a specialist for a root canal and supplied xrqys to him. He wanted to do his own X-rays and there was no discussion about cost. After the X-rays they confirmed she needed a root canal and the cost would be $2,500. She declined feeling that cost was excessive and was then told she would have to pay $500 for the x-rays.

The Yuma Dentist - Review Recently, I made an appointment…read morewith The Yuma Dentist(16th st.) for December 15. 2020, not my choice, however, the Veterans Administration has changed it's policy in the program offered to veterans with 100% service connected disabilities to get dental away from large medical centers, and this was the one of three offered in the Yuma area. Upon scheculing a new patient exam/cleaning for my self and wife I was given an 8AM appointment for both. I thought we would both go in to different parts of the process simultaneously and be out in about an hour for xrays, cleaning and quick review by the dentist. Not the case. I was taken back and after about 1 hour I returned to the lobby to find my wife waiting to start the process. In discussion with the hygienist, they do in fact have two, but obviouly must have thought we wanted to spend hours in their office. 1 hour each for xray, clean, dentist visit and 40 minutes while the room was cleaned between our exams. The one good thing was the hygienist, Kara was excellent. Later that day I received both email and text messages from a third party company(Swell CX) to provide a review of this dentist. Absolutely no where in their paperwork was any permission requested to use/give personal email or cell phone to any other person or company. . I have reported this company as spam, blocked their phone number and am posting this complaint on any and all social media sites in the area. Great hygienest, fair price, ok office staff, 20 seconds for the dentist to look, then the personal invasion of my personal phone and email.

Went through a few before settling on The Dental Clinic Of Yuma run by Dr. Masillamoni. The atmosphere was very professional and well laid out. The staff was courteous and friendly. Dr. Masillamoni himself is very good and skilled. He's friendly, kind, and a calming presence for those of us who get apprehensive about trips to the dentist. I anticipated my dental procedure to be very painful, but was pleasantly surprised by how gentle he was and how relatively pain free the entire procedure was. I moved to California over ten years ago, but have yet to find a dentist as good as Dr. Masillamoni, so naturally I make a yearly sojourn back to Yuma for the excellent dental care. I have another dentist I've gone to for years in WA state but need someone to see when I'm south just in case. They wanted to run up the tab with x-rays. When I called I asked if they needed my records from my other dentist, they said no...just come in. But when I got there, they wanted tons of x-rays which were not needed. Personally, I hate dentists and doctors that love to pad the bill with tests that are not needed. Beyond that, I never got my teeth cleaned. They gave me a tour which consisted of two rooms and the bathroom. LOL. They proudly​ pointed out​ the Certificates of the Dentists... one of these days I should frame my Degrees. So...meh. I'm glad they at least went to college. I got the newly minted Dentist from Harvard who must have just graduated. Let's not forget SOME of the doctors we see are in the BOTTOM half of the class. I'm sure she had a difficult time with not hurting the patient. Maybe she only practiced on manikin heads. Having had enough of the mirror being jammed in my gums I said ENOUGH and left. Oh, and I also left their free gift...as if I needed another water bottle. They do offer to rub your feet and give you a cozy wrap... only partly kidding.
