I am writing to document an incident that occurred on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at TumbleHQ LLC,…read moreduring my 11-year-old daughter's gymnastics/cheer tumbling class. My daughter, D., was enrolled in the 6:00 p.m. "PRO" group class that evening. During practice, the students were working on round-off rebounds. While performing this skill, my daughter's feet slipped off the AirTrack, and she landed sideways near where Coach Victor M., the owner, was conducting a private lesson. At that point, Coach Victor stopped his private lesson, approached my daughter, and forcefully yanked her hair while attempting to demonstrate what she had done incorrectly. He did this in front of others, creating an unnecessary scene that left my daughter humiliated, frightened, and embarrassed. One would think that, as a middle school teacher at Delay Middle School in Lewisville, TX, Victor Muñoz would have more experience in handling children with patience and professionalism. Coach Victor runs the girls like cattle in a very confined space. Multiple classes, often 2-3 classes are held simultaneously while he also conducts private lessons. The gym simply isn't large enough to safely accommodate that many athletes at once. When space is limited and the business is stretched beyond capacity, mistakes are bound to happen, and students can easily land on the wrong equipment or in unsafe areas. My daughter is 11 years old and in 6th grade. She participates in middle school cheerleading purely for recreation. We are not pursuing competitive or collegiate-level training. We enrolled her at TumbleHQ simply to help her build confidence, coordination, and basic skills in a safe, encouraging environment. The owner's actions were inappropriate, unprofessional, and unacceptable, especially when directed toward a child. No parent expects their child to be treated in such a physical or demeaning way by a coach.

I writing this to you to express my concern with the Keller Soccer Association and as a word of…read morecaution to anyone looking to sign their kids up. I've coached for 3 seasons now and I have decided to pursue another league where they truly support sportsmanship and a fun experience for the kids and parents. Just two weeks ago my U5 kids had to suffer through another experience playing a team that lacked a coach with ethics, referees who don't understand the game and no supervision from KSA. The other coach had the audacity to verbally tell his kids in front of all the parents and referee to use their hands and arms to "control the space" around them. Let me repeat, these were 4 year olds! Everyone heard their coach say this repeatedly, it was no secret. As a lifelong soccer player I found this very confusing as you are not allowed to hold your arms out to push players away. I can't imagine instructing my 4 year olds to do this, when many of them don't understand the difference between a corner kick and goal kick. Predictably, their team was pushing my players and at times pulling them to the ground. At one point in the game, the foul was so blatant that the referee finally called it. But who really cares because I had to go on the field and pick up my crying player. I instructed my team to go to our bench as I was tempted to stop the game completely because the referee could not control the game. For the remainder of the game, my players would only run alongside their players because they were afraid that they would get pushed to the ground if they got too close. This is unbelievable and unacceptable for U5 or any age! The Bulldogs coach came on to the field and explained to the referee that "his players are allowed to use their hands to hold away the opposing team to protect their space." He also said "why should I care since the referee called a foul." The referee just stood there and didn't say anything. I allowed my team to go back on the field and finish the game as there was only 1 quarter left. Of course, my players are confused and asking if its ok for them to push back. I said no. In fact, I removed my player from the field when he pushed one of our own players. Ultimately, KSA is responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. I expressed my concerns to KSA leadership and their response was predictably poor. If you do decide to sign up with KSA, just remember that the referees will be too young to instruct and there will be no KSA supervision available to help you when the other team's coach has decided that his dream to be in the World Cup. PS. Because of the population of Keller, there will always be plenty of new players to come along for KSA. This is a function of quantity not quality. I know of at least three teams that are electing to pursue other opportunities. Hopefully there will be more!

This is a really great gym. I've taken a few of my cheerleaders up here for the open stunt night on…read moreThursdays. Ryan Johnson is the coach that runs it and he is fantastic. He gives such great feedback to the athletes. It doesn't matter if you're a basic or advanced stunter. They have people of all ranges that show up. Ryan is really great about making his way around to everyone. He makes an effort to learn everyone's name and get to know them. You feel right at home there. In most gyms stunt classes I have to do a lot of coaching with my girls. The people running the class like to stick around the more advanced stunters because that's more "fun" to work with. But Ryan is great and makes sure to work with everyone. It's great when you find a coach who actually knows what they're doing and clearly enjoys what they do! I have an infant and a husband who travels. I LOVE that I'm allowed to bring my son with me. Granted I keep him in the carrier the whole time, I worry about someone stepping on him. But I'm so appreciative of a gym that will allow me to work with my girls and have my son with me! Talk about family friendly! If you're in high school thinking about cheering in college, you're in college looking for somewhere to stunt or you're old like me and just like to see if you can still do a few skills I definitely recommend going here on Thursday nights at 8:15. You may get lucky and see my old self attempting to relive the glory days!
