Outstanding, excellent, customer service. If I could, I would give them a 6 star rating. This…read morebusiness is housed in the Lager Mill and is the place to buy quality Southern Germany/Alpine Region of Europe style clothing. When I traveled to the Province of Bavaria, I thought I could find Lederhosen for less money. I was wrong, the prices are competitive with shops in Bavaria. When I went to buy my 5-piece Tracht (traditional German clothing) the size Bundhosen I thought was the correct size was out of stock. Instead of just ordering 1 size larger they ordered a few sizes larger too. Turns out the size that actually fit me was two sizes larger. Had they just ordered the size I thought would fit, I would have looked like an overstuffed sausage. Before buying my Tracht I checked online for Trachts and it turns out online isn't any cheaper for the same quality as I bought. At Bavarian Specialties a person can try on shoes, Bundhosen & Lederhosen, shirts, and hats. They also sell women clothing. The second day I put on my Bundhosen, the stitching failed which holds on the suspender button which was a manufacturing flaw. On my way to get them repaired I stopped in to let them know what happened. The owner was shocked and apologetic that the stitching failed. He told he would have it repaired at no cost to me. An Lager Mill employee told me he owned a pair Lederson for many years and button have never come off. Bavarian Specialties sells authentic made in Germany Lebkuchen, candies, and many other things to numerous to mention.

However we parked at the mall across the street on this trip and this was right across the street. My husband really wants a grandfather clock and he was very excited to check out the selection. Prices seemed kind of high to me but to be fair I don't know anything about grandfather clocks, lol. They also have a nice selection of Frankenmuth magnets, they ranged from like $4 to $10. I ended up buying one of the $4 ones. The reason I'm bumping up this review to five stars is because I lost my Fitbit there (Fitbit Zip, an old one that sits on my waist, not my watch) and when my husband and I got to Kern's and realized it, we rushed back to the store to check there first (it was 530pm). The (owner? Employee?) welcomed us back, and another customer immediately pointed to it on the floor. Saved us a lot of hassle and had they closed immediately at 530pm, the doors may have been locked. Looking forward to checking this store out again the next time we are in town.

Always a great conversation and an education in time pieces. The group in the back can repair or restore most anything. We've had two intricate grandfathers restored and they do incredible work. One took six months and the other seven. The wait was well worth it. Back to the store. They have clocks of all sizes and price ranges. On our initial visit to the store we spent over an hour, like it were a museum. This isn't the dime store, so know that you'll be paying a hefty price for most any clock here. Again, it's an investment that justifies the price. This is also your place for authentic German Christmas pyramids. We bought the pyramid with Seiffen church for under $100. A neat little wooden pyramid with a German church, carolers and a Christmas tree. When the tea lights are lit, the rising heat causes the blades to turn. I recommend that on your first visit you take in everything. If something grabs you, you grab it back. Otherwise, bring your funds on all future trips! 05/22
