the reason why i give 1 star Is because, they were suppose to call me when my glasses get ready and it pass more then a month and nevwr received a call. When I finally stop by to pick it up i found that the prescription was only good to see very close and not able to see long distance, they say there was a charge of $200 if I wanted to get it fixed. the person who explain this to me was not too courteous on explain she show like upset with the claim. Came in today, Braxton the manager greeted me as if he was expecting me. I always get 5-star support at this location. I leave a review every time because of the 5 star consistency! I always go during the weekday, off hours for QUESTIONS. I'd imagine l that's how you ACCURATELY gauge the level of customer support for an "RX Based" errand and meeting your OWN OBJECTIVES with knowledge and speed. I took my prescription for glasses to For Eyes Annapolis on June 4. I was immediately assisted by Amina. She was very friendly and kind. She patiently answered all of my questions and helped me chose my frames, lenses, and additional features. It was like having my daughter there to assist me. About a week later I received a message that my glasses were ready for pick up. I was assisted by Bill with the same kindness as before. He fitted my glasses and gave me some very helpful ideas on the handling and care of the glasses to prevent damage and scratches. Working with Amina and Bill was a very pleasant experience for me and I most certainly will return to For Eyes, Annapolis for future eyeglass needs. read more

This store is clearly going through a transition. The doctor doesn't show up for appointments, and the staff seems new, or perhaps they seasonal help. Here was my bad experience. I visited the store and picked frames that I intended to buy. When the sales attendant tried confirm my vision insurance through their system, he said he was unable to. Surprised, I left and I didn't schedule an eye exam. I made note of the frames. From home, I called the insurance company and they confirmed my coverage. I called For Eyes back and scheduled the eye exam. When I showed up for the exam, they told me they had tried to call me at the last minute to cancel the appointment because the doctor didn't show up. They apologized, and we rescheduled. When I went home, there was a message on my phone from 15 minutes before my appointment time. The staff member said the exam equipment was broken and they needed to reschedule. This struck me as odd because it didn't square with what they told me in the store. I kept the appointment anyway because I didn't want to spend time shopping around. A week later, I went back in for my eye exam. They ushered me into a room and gave me a "pre-exam." When that was done they told me that the doctor wasn't in and that they couldn't proceed. The staff didn't know where she was or even if she was coming in all, saying only that she was supposed to be there. They seemed embarrassed. I said I'd wait. After 15 minutes, I left. read more

We had an appointment on 8/17/2024 at 3:30pm for four people. It took over an hour to get insurance verified. I was informed their system was down. We didn't get seen until pass 4:30pm and left at 7:10pm. Just eyes exams and no glasses purchased. It took everything in me not to walk out. As Dawn did her best to try and work with her provided sources. The overall wait time is outrageous. Send Dawn some qualified assistance to get this business moving. We normally visit the greenbelt location and we normally get a five appointment slot. It's never taken this long to get our eye exam and purchase glasses. It seems this place continues to have issues. This was my second time hoping this would be different from our last visit two years ago. I was wrong. I will have to take the extra time to drive to a different location. We don't get the best service as other have placed their review. read more

Booked for 2:30. Assumed I could feasibly make it to a 4pm appointment that was basically next door to this location considering 0 travel time. Checked in and was told they were running half an hour late - fine. Waited another 45 minutes before they called me. Dr. Hill gave the slowest eye exam I have ever received. When I got into the room she typed for about 10 minutes, had me do one test, and then began typing again. Then, staff dragged me to a table and took about 15 minutes typing everything out just so I could pay (why is this a thing at some optometrists? Why can't I just pay at the front desk in 1 minute like at any other medical or dental appointment?) I would have left had I not been on the hook for the bill. Ended up 10 minutes late for my other appointment and almost missing it despite the buildings sharing a wall. read more

Just had my eye exam with DR.Hill, I was not empresses me at all, felt like walking out. Had to wait over 40 minutes for my appointment and she was not with any patient. she did not apologize for the delay. She did not ask any question during the exam took less than 5 minutes. All she asked better or worse. Staff were great and friendly. read more

This place is amazing. I was helped by Amina Williamson (I hope I got the name right haha) and her co worker and they were both incredibly helpful. I tried on a few pairs and they were very honest and insightful and helped me choose a pair that I was comfortable with and most importantly a pair that I liked. AND on top of all that they charged my phone and fixed my current glasses for free so that's already a 5 star review, would definitely recommend! read more

My glasses was shipped out to the wrong address without confirming the address with me or even informing that they were deciding to ship them. The turn over time for pick-up is 2 weeks i called everyday after that time frame and now all of a sudden my glasses are missing. For Eyes employees basically didn't want to help locate or try to get my frames after telling me the ones I purchased are no longer in stock!!!! read more

This was my first time visiting For Eyes in Annapolis and I'm not sure if I will return. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment since I figured I would have to fill out some paperwork as a new patient. There was a gentleman helping another customer with glasses and he greeted me as I walked in, which was nice. Other than that one customer, I was the only other person there at the time. The woman behind the desk, however, was not as friendly. I probably only took two steps in the door before she says from across the room, "How can I help you?" without even looking up to greet me. I filled out my paperwork and went back to see the doctor. He was nice enough, not very personable though. After my exam I went back up front to order my contacts and take care of my co-pay and was helped by another gentleman, who was friendly. Before I left I had to sign a paper and was accidentally given another patients form (they were all printed off together, easy mistake). When I mentioned it, the gentleman apologized and gave me my form. The woman (who had since returned from running an errand from what I gathered) made a comment that didn't sit well with me. When I had the wrong form I had jokingly said, "Well I'm not him, but I can sign for him if you want," to which she responded, "Haha does he have more money [than me]." I have Medical Assistance, so I'm not sure if she made the comment not thinking of that or if she was just being rude. From what I observed of her behavior during my visit, I'm inclined to believe the latter. Overall, it was an OK experience. But if you're looking for an eye doctor with personable, cheerful staff I'd suggest you look elsewhere. read more

I love For Eyes Optical in Annapolis!! Dr. Sober is amazing!! He is extremely friendly during the exam and very quick! I've been going to For Eyes in Annapolis for over 10 years now and he has done every exam I have had! Simply amazing! The support staff are very nice and friendly as well! They gentleman Wetzler was amazing! I have had the pleasure of him helping me a couple of times and he is very friendly and always helpful when it comes to choosing frames! Joanne is nice as well! I have been a patient here for over 10 years after my recent visit I will never give this company any more of my business. They had always been very helpful and patient with our family until this visit, in my opinion because I asked questions of the doctor performing the exam the manager of the location told me I should find a different doctor. Four Eyes corporate has not responded to my phone calls, apparently they no longer care for any type of Customer service, patient knowledge and/ or patient respect. Such a sad outcome. read more

I had a bad experience last year somewhere else and was very nervous about trying another place. I wanted a correct eye exam this time as well as a new pair of glasses. I am absolutely pleased with my choice to go here- they have great hours and very friendly staff. The doctor was wonderful- very friendly and he knew what he was talking about. This was my first time visiting For Eyes, or any eye doctor in a few years, for that matter. I was very pleased with my experience. All directions were clear from all the staff. Bill was extremely helpful when I picked out my frames, and was very clear about what I was paying for vs what my insurance was covering. Dr. Daniel was wonderful! Very personable and professional. My husband and I have been going to the Annapolis For Eyes since we moved into AA County 8 years ago and there is no other better optical store around! They aren't just there to sell eye wear they really care about their customers. Thanks to Dave and Joanne my experiences there are more like an old time neighborhood shop than a chain store. Today Dave was able to fix my broken "techie" glasses that my son sat on by mistake in 5 minutes and I was out the door and back on my way! Any other store would have had to send them out and would have cost me a new pair! Thanks for the great, continued, and consistent customer service!!! read more

I am appalled at the customer service and the competence of the doctor and the employees at this store. To begin, when we originally went in there we spent ample time getting our prescriptions (contacts and glasses) and picking out glasses. When we went back to get our orders and my order was correct but my husbands was completely wrong. Not only were hte lenses wrong but so were the frames. To top it off, there was nothing written down that said the frames that he got. When I went back today to get my contact lens prescription to put it in at Sam's club to get it filled, and it appears there is no prescription. I spent 10 minutes waiting for one person to find the prescription, only to have him have to ask another person (that was another 7 minutes), then the original guy called the doctor (10 more minutes) and then the doctor couldn't find it (another 10 minutes) and when he talked to me he had the wrong prescription! Honestly, I just can't believe that this is acceptable and I would never recommend this place to anyone! read more
