I highly recommend the location on 147th and LaGrange Road in Orland Park. I was a Peral vision customer and had several issues with getting fitted correctly and finding the right glasses. This For Eyes took the time to explain, get me fitted and even got me into contacts and sunglasses. This location is professional and WOW! is this location clean and organized. The store manager even took the time to greet me and ask if I had any questions or needed any additional assistance. Awful place. Orland Park Il. Crystal the store mgr. is more interested in her phone than customer. Just pointed to the wall where I could find the men's glasses, never got off her seat to assist, and was alwayon her phone. Ordered the wrong glasses with a blue tint I never asked for, and also lenses that were 3 times thicker than I wear. When I want to pick up i brought this to her attention, and she got all 'lokey' and defensive saying this is what I wanted. Also price I was charged was $180 more than what my insurance estimate stated. Again got all defensive and scribled figures fast to prove her point. I reported Crystal to my insurance co and they are looking inbto her behavior. I have gone to this location 25+ years with excellent service, buit this Crystal needs to be let go. She does a poor service to this company. I returned the glasses for a full refund and she just tossed the return receipt at me with no aploogy at all. My advice is go to another location. read more

This is the worst place to go for glasses so unprofessional Crystal is more worried about getting her lip gloss from Amazon then helping you out. She tells you that she's going to help you and call you back but she never does. She tells you that she's gonna track your shipment tells you that it's coming, but your frames are still there in the store. She's a compulsive liar. She has no idea what she's doing in corporate they're just as bad they never call you back they're just as bad as the store that's why they get away with what they get away with! Because they don't care so unprofessional!! Call the store several times to find out about my glasses after I've been waiting over a month for my glasses and they have caller ID and all she kept on doing was pick ing up the phone and hang up on me and I'm referring to Crystal so unprofessional! You would think that I would've gotten a callback from somebody from corporate after I called there three times nothing or an apology nothing or when I was on the phone with corporate somebody to say I'm sorry this happened to you. The Homewood store, overall was a nice experience. The staff was very professional but also friendly. The quality of the glasses is ok. You get what you pay for but the prescription was correct. Another long time customer who will never go back (and will suggest to friends to go elsewhere). My husband bought his glasses there a few months ago. The arm came off the frames after a few months so we went back to have them fixed. I see I must have dealt with the same person at the store that so many have complained about already. She just looked at them, said they were broken, and she couldn't do anything. I let her know that we only bought the glasses a few months ago and she asked if we had purchased the extended warranty. I couldn't recall if we did but did state that I believed there was an automatic one (1) year coverage. She then asked for my receipt. I told her I didn't have it but that they should have a record of us since we've been long time customers. She looked at her computer, said there was no record (for long time customers?)! She further stated that they had changed the computer system and if I had records, they were no longer available (while grumbling under her breath the entire time). Wow! If I did (and anyone else) buy the extended warranty, we are all SOL because there is no record! When I called my husband to see if he might have the receipt, he immediately asked it if was the same women with the bad attitude that initially sold us the glasses (sure enough it was)! She was rude and condescending to me both my husband and I when we purchased the glasses and even more rude to me when I went in to have the repairs made. While I realize in these times it may be difficult to fill the position, I can't imagine why 4eyes continues to employ an individual that actually chases away the customers and can't imagine why they are selling products that break so easily and don't try to do something about it - especially for long time (well over 20 years) customers. They've lost us as customers as well as family members and friends. read more

This review is for the eye doctor. This was one of the places that took my insurance so I called to make an appointment and was happy that they got me in the next day. The day of the appointment went smoothly with no problems although they were a little pressuring about ordering my contacts through them when i know it was cheaper to do online. Eye DR. made mistake on my lens and could not see clearly ! I returned my glasses they called two days later and made me a appointment 2 weeks out for re check then it would be 2-3 weeks to get them back again !!! When i ask to get in little sooner i was told we are just to booked up !!!So i guess its my fault that they got it wrong !!!!!! what LOUSY LOUSY customer service !!!!! I have been getting glasses and eye exams for at least 4 years at this location. Most recently my husband and I had our eye exams by the new optometrist, Dr. Lilas. She gave us both a thorough exam and was very nice. She went out of her way to answer all my questions regarding my husband's eyes. We have been concerned because he is diabetic and his vision has changed dramatically over the past 18 months. She was professional and very caring. Took a few of her cards and have recommended her to my family as well. I was able to use my vision insurance at the exam and also the store. My insurance isnt BCBS, but a weird off brand insurance and I had no problems at all. They seem hooked up electronically to all the vision companies to verify vision benefits which makes sense since this is their specialty. They were even able to accomplish this on a Saturday. Karen at For Eyes was incredibly helpful. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes. For the first time, they didn't try talking me into getting the super expensive lenses, and that was really nice. The selection was limited for men, but that's a company thing and not a store thing. Regardless, I would for sure recommend it. They are quick and professional. Oh, and they're super affordable. You really can't beat the two pairs for $99. read more

Horrible customer service! Ordered contacts, was told they would be in within two weeks. Never heard anything after 3rd week so I called to check on them after waiting on hold for 10 minutes was told she was not sure what happened they may have come in but ordered wrong, or they didn't come in, or they weren't ordered but she would check and put a rush on them for sure she would call me back and let me know. That didn't happen so a week later I walked into the store waited at the desk for 15 minutes when a girl finally asked me what I needed I told her I was picking up contacts--they still were not in but she could give me a trial pair. I asked when they would be in and she said I don't know but I can call you. I said that didn't work last week and walked out. Oh did I mention they were paid for the day I ordered them! read more

I am a patient of Dr. Lilas at FOR EYES. I am very disappointed with her professional behavior, and loyalty to a patient. Dr. Lilas is a fraud. I was there for an eye examine. I was charged for a service that my insurance cover's. I have been notified that it is true, and has instructed her technician to just tell the patient, that it is a new policy with insurance company's not covering the entry exam. I was charged to 10.00 for the exam, which a technician by the name Maggie seems confused, and does not know how to lie, and if this is the type of Optometrist that is taking over when Dr. James Hughes fully retires in a few month's, I am surprise that FOR EYES allows having a doctor that lies, and steals from her patient, and frauds the insurance company. I will be notify my other family member's as well. I will be contacting FOR EYES highest manager. read more

After checking our insurance company's online website of preferred providers, I made an appt for my husband here. After an utter fiasco at a different vision care facility, I stopped by to verify our insurance coverage prior to his appt. They will NOT do medical billing if your vision is covered under the medical portion of your health plan - they will only bill under vision insurance. So the big sign that says 'Welcome BCBS Members' as you walk in doesn't apply to everyone with a vision benefit. They told me that they used to medical bill however BCBS took too long to pay them. But.... they would be happy to provide me with a receipt so I could file a claim for reimbursement. Basically, it was okay for me to wait for my money, for a benefit and service (electronic claims submission) already included in my premium. I contacted BCBS and told them they should not be a preferred medical provider. read more

Not very satisfied. The Eye doctor was great. After my exam I picked out my glasses and made the order. After my new glasses arrived I tried them on and couldn't see out of the right eye, the left eye was good. I was told that the eye doctor must have made a mistake, I said when the doctor tested me everything was crisp and clear. I put on my new glasses, looked down the showroom to the back and told the woman helping me I couldn't read the sign in the back. I was told that "nobody" could read that from where I sat. I put on my old glasses and read the sign perfectly. Well she didn't know what to do, I had to come back when the manager was there. When I went back I spent another hour trying to be convinced that it was just me and the glasses were fine. Very condescending. Finally she agreed to send my glasses back in to be redone. After spending $400 I would like to see out of my new specs! read more
