Had a horrible experience last year (2024) and would never return. Never made any effort to get my prescription from another Pearle location. This location is private practice and the location my prescription is at is corporate, both do not share patient information. Ended up being fitted for lenses over the double the cost. Moving forward to Dec 2025, I get an automated call asking me to confirm my appointment in 2-weeks, which I never scheduled. I made it clear a year ago I would never return. I called Orland and was told it was made for me without my knowledge. What a scam! I know if you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! read more

Probably one of the worst places. They charge you just to bring in a different color in a frame and then refuse to refund it if you do not like it, and put a hold on your insurance. The Pearle Vision in Countryside was happy to do with no obligation. I will never return to them. I purchased glasses, picked them up, walked out to the car, the glasses were like a bad car wash, walked back in, they didn't see a problem, wiped them again, walked back in again cuz I could not see, and then went back in for a 3rd time because they are too busy doing nothing and still could not get the protective coating off. I asked them to put them on to see the problem and got Oh yeah. Terrible. I advised my insurance as well of this location. I do not recommend them. Go elsewhere! read more

Had appointment for tomorrow. Need to get exam, retina imaging, and glasses. Would have spent close to 500 with all the add ons. Received an email that this location now charges a 3% credit card swipe fee. This is a business and credit card processing is a cost of business. So they charge 3% fee and they will also write off the fees as a cost of business. How about a discount for cash? How about no swipe fees for medical necessity's. How about I go elsewhere. I would advise all to look elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, most of the staff are friendly. However I've been given too much of a run around after spending around $700 for glasses. My fiancé and I came to this location on 12/10/2022, took our vision test, pick out our frames, and placed our orders. On 12/20/2022 I received a text stating my glasses were ready for pickup. I was stuck at work so my fiancé decided to take the 30 minute drive from our house to pick up the frames. When she arrived she was told that the incorrect lenses were put in her frames and that they did not know where my frames were. After that fiasco the store told us it would be about a week before they could correct the issue. On 12/27/2022 I received another text stating that my glasses were again ready. Like before I had my fiancé go pick them up as I was stuck at work. She brings the glasses home and on my first attempt at trying them on the left lenses instantly pops out. I have her return the glasses the next day and the doctor tells her "we will have to recut the lens". How is it that the lens was not cut right before providing a product to the customer? I then received another text on 1/5/2023 saying my glasses were once ready yet again. Upon picking up the glasses on 1/9/2023 the store has now gotten rid of my leather Ralph Lauren case and provided me with a generic made it China case along with a dirty cloth. This was my first time ever using Pearle Vision and it is safe to say I will be returning to LensCrafters for my next round of prescription eyeglasses. read more

I got a new pair of glasses from Pearle Vision in Orland park in the middle of January 2025. About a month after wearing it, I noted some lines on the surface and it progressive got worse. I took it back to be fixed and the lady who attended to me was so so rude. She would not allow me to even talk. I've been wearing glasses for 33 years and I have never had any lines on my lenses. I sometimes changes my glasses after wearing it for 4-5 years because my prescription hasnt changed. I clean it the same way I've always cleaned all my glasses, with mild soap and water and the cloth that comes with my case. Needless to say this is the first and last time I'll be getting glasses from this store for me or any member of my family and I'll certainly make sure none of my friends shop there if they ever ask me for a recommendation. they have to teach their workers to treat everyone who walks in with respect. read more

I got something in my right eye on Sunday, March 28th. I was using a drill and failed to wear goggles. I knew better. On Monday, March 29th I woke up and my eye was swollen and very irritated. I called Pearle Vision as soon as they opened at 10:00 AM sharp! They told me they were booked for the day as I suspected, however come on by so they can squeeze me in. When I arrived they were very professional. I saw the doctor within a half hour. She explained what her exam would consist of etc. Well, there was a metal fragment embedded in my eye. To be safe, I was referred to a specialist. They called the specialist right away and made sure I had an immediate appointment. They then told me there would be no charge for the office visit at Pearle. Wow! I went to the specialist and they were able to remove the fragment. The metal fragment began to rust so it was great that I was referred immediately. Bottom line, I will never take my business any where else! Pearle and entire staff...thanks for your professionalism, courtesy, and most of all for my vision! read more

STAY AWAY!!! I have taken My kids here for many years and have got good service. Things have really gotten bad. I took the drivers license eye exam six years ago and nearly failed. So I went Orland Park Pearle and the optometrist told me that I need to start wearing glasses. So for that year and the next five, I needed new glasses every year ever stronger at $450 a pair. This year all I could see out of my right eye was a blear. Then they told me I had cataract surgery. Everyone else I have talked to, was told years in advance that they were doing to need cataract surgery. I wasn't told until I was nearly blind and spent $2250 in glasses! After surgery I was told to go to an optometrist but not told she works for Orland Pearle. Orland Pearle called and said that I have an appointment with "Pearle", not knowing that the doctor I was going to see was at Pearle, so I told her to cancel it. I put the doctors address in google maps and followed the map. Much to my surprise it was Pearle! When I went into the office the woman that was calling me was behind the front desk, Soon as I told her who I was, she started ripping a new one. I almost left and should have. All the doctors in the office were just fine with this. I guess they don't go by "the customer is always right"! If she worked for me, I would of fired her on the spot! read more

I wouldn't give them this star if i had a choice. I went to this location on 9/15/19 for an eye exam and purchased a pair of glasses. On 9/27, i picked up the glasses. I couldn't see clearly but due to this being my first time wearing progressive lenses, the clerk told me to give it a chance. After two weeks, I exchanged them for a pair of regular lenses. After a week or two of having them, things were still not clear. I found an old prescription from earlier this year i took at American Best and gave it to the store manger, Shawna for comparison. She stated, that my prescription was totally WRONG. Asked, if I wanted the SAME Dr to give me another exam? WTF!!! To give me a generic accommodation, she gave me a store credit when I should have gotten the full refund I requested. The DR made the error but as the customer i have to pay for it. BE SURE NOT TO ALLOW YOUR 30 DAYS TO EXPIRE BECAUSE THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT YOUR RIGHTFULLY REFUND!!!! It is sad when American Best can out provide adequate eye exam with the correct prescription at a cheaper cost. Lesson learned. Because i paid more, didn't make Pearle better. They SUCK!!! A very caring staff. The person who checked me before the Dr. was very helpful. And thorough. The Doctor was very caring too. We explored options for lenses until she was sure i was happy. After that part of the exam the Dr. and technician worked to get the perfect images of eyes to check them. I could tell they really cared. I have been burned twice now by this place. 1. Had an appt with a requested DR and they switched the DR at the time of arrival for the appt. Ended up going to another optometrist in Orland Park. I had even called to confirm that we were scheduled for that doctor. 2. My 10 yr old son's glasses had split on the bottom. Instead of simply replacing them and keeping my family's business, the attendant said "That's normal", and that Pearle Vision can only cover 50% of the cost of replacement frames (the rest coming out of my pocket). So...not only do they do a bait and switch with appointments, but they also don't stand behind their products. 50% replacement coverage for frames that aren't even 6 months old...are you kidding me?? They've lost our business for good, and we have three members of our family in prescription eyewear. read more

I had a terrible experience at your location in Orland Park. I would like to start with I have been going to this location for the past 3 years and I have had great experiences up until last month. I purchased 2 pairs of frames and my girlfriend also purchased 2 pairs of frames. We both had a date of 10/12/2021 to pick up our glasses. Hers were ready on the 12th but mine were not, which is understandable considering everything going on. I finally get a text on 10/26 that my glasses were ready, so I went on my lunch to try them on. Both of the pairs had adhesive on the sides and around the lenses. The associate encouraged me to try them on and she would clean them after. As I was trying on the second pair she got up to try and clean the first pair. While I was waiting I seen a paper with my name on it so I picked it up to read and when she came back she snatched it out of my hand and said I couldn't see it. I explained that it had my name and information on it so I wasn't quite sure why I could not see it. Unfortunately she still was not able to get the adhesive off but at this point I was frustrated. I then explained I was not happy with the quality and I wanted a refund. She stated she couldn't do it but a manager could, unfortunately the manager was on lunch. The associate kept telling me to take them anyway but I refused in that condition. She encouraged me to pick out different frames but I had already spent time there last time to pick these 2 frames and I wasn't confident in the quality. The associate then said the manager would call me after lunch. The associate called me back and said the manager declined the return and said the return policy on the website does not include their location. I asked to speak to her and the associate said she had stepped out. I asked for her to call me back and she said she would call me back but hopefully before they close at 7. The associate called me back again to say the manager would return the money I spent but that they own my benefits. I was obviously frustrated and asked to speak to the manager but I was told they had left. I am still waiting to hear back but I still have not. I went to another eyeglass location and shared my experience so they tried to talk to the manager as well because they called to get my prescription but the manager was on lunch. This has been a very poor customer experience and very disappointing all together as they have kept both my frame allowances and lenses and I have no glasses to show for it. read more

I have always had a positive result at this location, but today was over the top.He spent a great deal of time assisting me and still kept up with helping other customers and staff get what they needed. The lab guy had a cool sense of humor and was able to take care of an issue I had on a frame others could not. Had a European accent and he lived in Skokie. I did not get his name. Visited this facility last week. Easy to make an appointment. Dr McCartan was very pleasant, personable, and professional. She gave me a thorough exam and was very informative through all phases of this exam. The optician who assisted me, Aida, was also very friendly and professional. She was very helpful and "truthful" (lol) information during the process of selecting frames. She gave me a lot of information regarding my vision insurance benefits which made my selections very easy. This facility was recently renovated and is comfortable and welcoming. The associates I encountered during my visit were also very friendly. All in all, this was a great visit. By the way, my glasses were ready in 3 days!!! read more

I have been getting my glasses here for years, the Doctors are great and the staff is knowledgable and very helpful.

I came in about a half hour before closing time. Lionette greeted me with a smile and when I apologized for coming in so late, she didn't even flinch. She helped me look for the kind of glasses I was looking for, and when I ran into a snag with my insurance, she went above and beyond and called them for me to sort it out. What would have taken me an hour to fix took her 10 minutes. She wrote out all of my insurance information so I could understand clearly what my benefits were and when I finally purchased my frames, she inspected them and cleaned them for me. I have been getting my glasses here for more than 8 years now. The Doctors are awesome and the staff is very friendly. The quality of the glasses and service are excellent. They work well with my insurance. My glasses with exam, dilation, pics of my retina, and special services I need for my lenses cost me under $150. Everything comes with a one year warranty. Nice enough place. Eye doctor was a very nice lady, friendly and professional. I made an appointment at 11:30am today and they put me in for the last one available at 12:15. I got there early and they started working with me at about 12:30pm. Picked out a cool set of glasses with the help of a very honest worker, cant remember her name but it was like talking to a friend. I would recommend it. Unfortunately my glasses won't be dont until Tuesday probably earlier but still had a pleasant experience. I also had a groupon but didn't use it because I saved more with my insurance. Only down side is that it gets a bit costly with the exam, frames, lenses, various lens features. I got anti glare. I almost felt as though I paid too much for the eye exam but I've never really bought glasses without my parents so I probably feel like that because I'm a college grad working in the real world and I have to notice the costs of things with my own money. However, I didn't feel pressured or pushed into trying to get a certain thing like at some places. The value of things tends to be subjective. All in all nice place to get glasses. read more

I just went in here a week ago because I was out of my last pair of contacts and needed someone to fit me in that day- they got me in right away and the doctor was awesome. My eyesight is awful, I have a slight astigmatism, and each eye has a different prescription, but she made it easy and gave me some pointers to help my vision overall. They just started matching 1800contacts prices and offered me 50% of glasses if I bought contacts and glasses together, so it was way cheaper than if I would have paid full price. Kathy was awesome and helped me try on a bunch of styles, and when I didn't fall in love with any, she went in back and literally busted out the perfect pair for me!! She was really patient and gave me advice on the best fit and look for me. Horrible, this is one of my unions vendors. Went for eye exam, afterwards they had sent me to a sales lady she was taken back when I had told her I am buying my contacts and glasses else where. Then all of a sudden it takes 50 minutes to get my script. At Costco find out they never gave me my glassed script had to call and wait for 45 min to fax over. That evening go to my online union contact vendor and find out that they had subscribed their own brand which of course they do not carry. Called the next morning and they switched to a brand that no one has heard of. Called again and explained have used acuvue for years FINALLY got the right script what a nightmare. When I came to pick up my eye glasses, I noticed something wasn't right, my glasses had what they call a fish bowl effect or wasn't positioned right on my face. I had a impatient Russian man who was helping me and he dismissed my issue so I left hoping they would adjust with time. When they didn't I went back a few days later and was helped by Rehman Hamidani who is hands down the nicest, helpful, and most thorough person in the place he really took the time to make sure I would have glasses that worked and measured my eye placement several times.
