I had one of the most frustrating experiences ever with this store. Two months ago, I brought in my own eyeglass frame (barely worn) to have lenses fitted. After waiting more than two weeks with no update, I called to check, and only then did they tell me my glasses were ready. When I picked them up, the prescription was completely wrong, so I had to redo the exam and order again. This second attempt was even worse. After another month of waiting--and multiple calls where the staff gave me confusing or evasive answers--they finally admitted that my glasses had been lost in transit. When I went to the store for a solution, here were my options: 1. Choose a replacement frame. At first, one staff member told me I could pick any frame from the wall. Then another restricted me to only the $129 section, and if I wanted something better, I'd have to pay extra. This made no sense--my original frame was higher quality and definitely not plastic, and it was their fault it got lost. Why should my choice be limited because of their mistake? 2. Request a refund. But not immediately. I'd have to wait until the manager came back from vacation to approve it. And given they already lost my glasses, I had no confidence they wouldn't "lose" the refund check too. The excuse was that it wasn't the store's fault but "the lab's" fault--as if that makes a difference to the customer. 3. Wait for the manager. The staff said they couldn't make decisions without her, and they refused to call her because she was on vacation. A store of this size with no backup system or delegated authority? Completely unprofessional. Bottom line: They took my money upfront, wasted months of my time, lost my property, and then made me wait even longer for a half-baked solution. Customers should not have to sacrifice their time because of the store's mistakes. If you want fast, reliable service, and accountability when things go wrong--this is not the place. read more

I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and the for the time ever, my glasses broke! Luckily, when I visited there was only one other customer in the store. Mr. Harold quickly offered to assist me, assessed whether my glasses could be repaired (they could not), and let me know my payment options. He was extremely patient and thorough when explaining the benefits of paying out of pocket rather than using my insurance since I was due for another eye exam in a few months. Luckily, I was able to get the exact same style of glasses and use my same lenses. I am only docking one star because of the cumbersome checkout process where, with their new payment system, Mr. Harold and his coworker tried over 4 times to remove the taxes from my purchase, to no avail. Nevertheless, I appreciate the customer service I received and the frequent updates from Mr. Harold since my glasses was taking longer than he intended to repair. read more

Foreyes has been my favorite discount eyeglasses to go place, and it doesn't hurt that the customer service is amazing. I have not had a bad experience at this location yet. I have gone to another location (which shall remain nameless lol) but came right back. I always find a great selection for my price range ( cheap). I can always find two pairs for the price of one ( with or without insurance). I love quirky frame colors, designs and styles, and I'm able to find something for me. The ladies really turned me on to some great stuff during my last visit too!! I was complaining about the fog on my glasses as the result of masks and they cleaned my glasses with these wondrous wipes! They have them for the cheapest price believe it or not! We called to get some questions answered with Pam and didn't get far. Pam and I where learning together about sizes. My mother was looking to upgrade to a bigger size and we thought we had done that after the call. She got home with her new glasses and they did not fit. I explained to my mother that Pam should have helped you with sizing doing measurements in the store. She did not. So I arrived to the store to ask questions my self because my mother had a cold and didn't want to go back outside. I actually had a great time buying new glasses today! The atmosphere is serene and the staff is friendly and helpful. I bought glasses from Four Eyes more than 30 years ago so I'm not a new customer, but definitely hadn't been there in a while. What a difference between Four Eyes and one of those discount places I went for glasses last year. I was not pressured to buy costly upgrades and Angela was nice enough to help advise me on the styles best suited to my face and my prescription. Hadn't upgraded my glasses in 6 years, back then I had gone to For Eyes and it was a good experience. Went this time and Angela greeted and helped me. I was trying to stick to a budget and needed progressive no-line bifocals. Angela was not pushy in the least. I recently went into For Eyes across from West Broad Hyundai to have an extra pair of glasses tightened. They were not purchased from this company, so I felt a bit weird asking for them to do this for me. I received top notch customer service, particularly from a young lady named Markiya. She was so very attentive and patient with me. She must have readjusted me glasses more than five times. She kept telling me, "I'm happy to do it more because I want them to be comfortable and I want you to be happy." It is rare these days to find customer service this good even you have given a business your money. But for a company to give it to a customer even when they haven't bought something is unbelievable! It was as if she knew it was the right thing to do and this is how you might win somebody's future business. As I left I told her manager what an outstanding job she had done. I was encouraged to come back as much as I needed to. She also said she would like to have an opportunity to earn my business in the future. However, even this statement from the manager did not come across as pushy or too aggressive. I recommend this For Eyes if you crave a great customer experience. Just bought a pair of glasses there. The price was over $200 cheaper than Lenscrafters because of the lenses I needed. So I was glad for that. But the customer service was mediocre. The day I bought the glasses, the person who greeted me when I came in told me where to look and proceeded to make phone calls and ignore me after that. I thought that was odd- why not make phone calls when there aren't customers waiting? When I picked them up (it took a little over a week), I was helped by a surprisingly rude person. She adjusted the frames to where they sat slightly crooked on my face and then just kept insisting they were not. I asked her four times to fix the fact that they were crooked, and she said "Fine, we're just going to MAKE them crooked." Seriously, are you blind?! Also these frames have odd screws on the tips of the earpieces that were scraping my skin, so I asked if they could be tightened. She actually argued that it was not the screws but rather the very tips they were holding onto the ends of the frame. I came back later and the manager agreed my frames were crooked and straightened them for me. Then later I went to Walmart for another adjustment because they were too tight, and that lady kindly tightened the screws I had complained about. I expected a better customer service experience from the staff in the eye glasses area. I went in for an eye exam and the receptionist in the office was great and welcoming, which made me feel like a valued customer. The doctor, Dr. MacMillian was great, patient, and took time to test my vision. It was downhill after that. I took my prescription over to the eye glass area and the staff there treated me like I was in the DMV. No smile, no "how can I help you". Instead, all I got was "have a seat, someone will be with you shortly". When I was eventually assisted, and the wait was less than ten minutes, the technician pretty much had no personality that made me feel like she was there to assist me with getting the right glasses. I was hurried, and I did not feel like a patient, instead I felt like the guy at DMV waiting for his driver's test. It took about ten days for my glasses to come back with the prescription and even then, they hurried me out of the store. I don't think that I will go back next year, despite the good doctor's excellent service. read more

I had the last appointment of the day and was greeted by 'their receptionist Sunday', who was very professional and helped me very quickly. After my eye exam... 'Lisa Jo" was so friendly and helpful in finding me a pair of glasses that 'fit my style' (that I described to her), that it made this process easy. What's even better is that she is very knowledgeable about different insurance plans and options that are available that helped to lessen the 'check out time'. I visited on a Sunday and was greeted by Sharon who spent alot of time with me and was very patient. I left to shop around and went to five different places and returned to For Eyes due to experiencing the difference in customer service compared to dealing with Sharon at this store. No one else at the other stores was willing to even greet me, much less spend any time assisting or asking if they could even help me or answer questions. When I returned, Sharon remembered me by name and again, assisted me and gave me great customer service and answered every question I had. Although I found a few frames I liked at some of the competition, it was Sharon's attitude, knowledge and really showing she appreciated my business that brought me back here to finally purchase two pairs of eyeglasses.
