Hello - I found it mind bothering that in 2026.......2026, this doctor/location does NOT offer or has the capability to submit online vision screenings to the MDOT/MVA which is required for renewal of driver's license online. Additionally, I was told that the doctor could complete the required form for a $20 fee, WOW! However, I would still need to get the completed form to the MDOT/MVA. That sounded completely crazy to me, so I simply went directly to the MDOT/MVA and had them do the screening on site FREE of charge. Makes one wonder - Are the systems at this location outdated with no intention of upgrading in order to collect $20 from patients for a document you still have to take to the MDOT/MVA for processing? Such a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT and VERY INCONVENIENT!! Maybe time to make a switch. read more

I was happy with their service last year. This year, I did not have the same experience. I was told my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. It has been 4 weeks and I have not received them. Nor has I gotten a call from For Eyes about the delay. I have called every week for a month asking about my glasses and every week they have a different excuse. And I also bothered they charged me to get a vision document from my eye doctor and charge me $30 without forwarding it to MVA. It was a one page document that required a signature and stamp for $30!!!!!!!! read more

Called to see it they take walk-ins. They do but on certain days. That is so unacceptable!!!! If you are going to take walk-ins then take them. Why does it have to be on a specific day? I can understand them setting times of the day that they would be allowed but days!!!!!!!!!!! You just missed out on two exams and four pair of glasses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Dr. Motamedi is AWESOME!!! He did for me what ophthalmologists couldn't even do; he gave me my sight back! I had scratches on both corneas, a nodule on my left cornea, and super dry eyes. He healed my scratches and gave me scleral contact lenses, which gave me 20/25 in the left eye and 20/20 in the right, and also took care of my dry eyes! I no longer have to use drops, or glasses! He's very concerned about his patients, and gives you all the time you need to ask questions and get answers. He's very professional and very kind and caring. He called me to see how I was doing with my lenses, and was as excited as I was about getting my vision back! Miracles do still happen! I highly, highly recommend you go see Dr. Motamedi. Horrible experience, with the technicians who check you out. I came to pick-up my glasses and waited for 15 minutes without being acknowledged or greeted. Not to mention my glasses took 2 weeks or so. I'm inclined to believe they're are prejudice, due to the level of service, I received versus the others I observed. read more

I'm returning to "Yelp" with an update on my outcome with "For Eyes Optical." In the past, I was in a struggle with For Eyes failing to return my funds. After, tweeting about the matter "For Eyes" returned my monies. The reverse funds process was super fast. Had a tweet account for some time, but never put it to use. Now, this tweeter account is used strictly for placing complaints to wrongdoing companies in front of an audience. Especially when the company fails in properly addressing an issue within the guidelines of their policies. read more

Had to submit another review for my favorite optical store! While my insurance is less robust than what I've had in the past, I continue to purchase my glasses at For Eyes. Mary and Mandi manage to maximize my purchasing power by helping me select the best deals and ensuring my insurance forms are correctly and promptly submitted. They've taught me simple procedures that have extended the useful life of my distance and reading glasses; using soft cloths ONLY for cleaning and promptly placing glasses in their case - works! I appreciate their personable and engaging customer service. read more

Had an appt back in March. The first Dr. that I saw was HORRIBLE!! I don't recall his name but he was white or foreign. First off he mis diagnosed me with Macular degeneration and my prescription was incorrect for my contact exam. He told me to do all these different things with my face and eyes but got MAD when I started asking questions, he even asked me why are you asking me so many questions. You are the Dr., Why would I not ask questions. COME ON REALLY..... Once I received my contacts I noticed that every time I looked at something I had to blink numerous times in order to get it to focus. So I decided to go back but see a different Dr. Appt was scheduled on wed for the other dr but when I arrived the Dr's had switched day and I was not notified. I refused to see that A$$ Dr because I was not going to be as nice as I was before. Either way I saw Dr. Daniel Olanewaju, he was awesome. He informed me that I DID NOT HAVE Macular Degeneration and that my contact prescription was WRONG!! He corrected everything for me. But I will admit I will NOT come back to this location anymore and I will not recommend this location to anyone. read more

Recently visited For Eyes in Waldorf, I saw Dr. Herbert Archey. He appeared to be professional. However, some of his conversation was inappropriate at times. I ordered glasses and I received them a week later. The Dr. told me that I have a astigmatism, which I know I do not have. Not knowing that he prescribed me a different prescription for my eye glasses. The glasses kept giving me headaches and my left eye would always hurt, so I made a follow up appt to see what the problem was. During my follow up appt, Dr. Archey was rude and extremely unprofessional. He was insulted that I had returned with concerns about my prescription and eyeglasses. I explained to him that he works in retail and I have the right to return anything that I have purchased that is not right. Needless to say, we had some not so nice words and he stated that he didn't care what I chose to do with my glasses and/or prescription. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and I will not ever recommend anyone that I know or met to get an eye exam from Dr. Unprofessional. read more
